Great stop over, friendly people and a return visit for sure

Thoroughly enjoyed a quiet one with my family on our way around the Catlins on holiday...

Bright and breezy locals rural pub. Use it or lose it.

Quick jug on the way home. Cold beer, warm fire.

Went for dinner as nothing open in Waikawa. Great relaxed rural atmosphere. Great food, big plates, friendly staff.

Nice place with pool table and nice food and drinks. I also used the shower, not the best pressure I’ve had but it’s clean, does the job and is only 4$. Good place to stop on your trip, especially if you’re backpacking/campervanning !

Generous blue cod, chips and salad washed down with a beer outside on the deck. Lovely evening followed by a walk on the reserve to see the seals.

Great place to power up for the night $10..free without power.. A night off cooking and the seafood chowder was great.. Washing machine and dryer..

Grest spot for Motor home association members. Parked overnight and made use of washer and dryer which was an excellent facility. A toilet and hot shower also available. Had a couple of drinks at the Tavern. Friendly locals. Water and Dump station and rubbish & recycling across the road. Very handy

Sweet as country pub that provides powered parking overnight for campers. Exceptional meals and friendly banter in the bar. Highly recommend.

Chill local pub. Large servings of your usual pub suspects for food - great to see good focus on checking vaccine passes 👍
