Review Tui Base Camp - Tuatapere

Happy we stopped here for lunch. There is plenty of off-street parking. I was travelling with my dog and was happy I could sit outside to enjoy a meal drink and sunshine while my dog had a drink and relaxed beside me. I enjoyed the sticky spare ribs served with chips. The marinate used for the ribs was delicious 😋

Great coffee and thanks for the breakfast. We ordered a small breakfast ($10) and large breakfast ($20) and they were both the perfect size. Friendly staff and the fire was a nice touch on a cold chilly morning.

Had a fantastic lunch at Tui base camp today - on our way home from our work trip. So many delicious items on the menu, we all struggled to choose. Lots of gf options. The service was impeccable. There had been a small miscommunication about our booking but within mins, tables were pushed together, chairs and cushions sorted and as soon as we sat down our drinks orders were taken. ‘Friendly and fast’ would sum it up. And the food was as delicious as it sounded on the menu. I had the chicken salad and the salad ingredients were so fresh and crisp. Everyone finished their meals and everyone was very impressed with the prices (and the service). It was my first time at Tui base camp but we’ll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. Friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night at their non powered site for $10 per person, include hot shower and well equipped kitchen. Bathroom is nice and clean. Overall, great value!

Good place to stop over!

We nearly drove past thinking this place was a backpackers of somthing. Fortunately we stopped, and enjoyed the pub-grub meal so much, we stopped in against the next day for breakfast. Great, honest meals at great prices.

Recommend the sausages. Coffees were great.
