Review Mint Folk & Co - Twizel

We did one of the 3 hour hikes around Mount Cook this morning and were craving coffee and some good food. We drove to Mint Folk & Co to replenish us. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the seasonal greens and switched out the haloumi for a potato hash and the flavours across the whole dish were just incredible. The people I am with loved their food also. The coffee hit just the right spot and I went back for seconds. Nice strong taste. The whole atmosphere and vibe of this place is so good and I could see myself sitting here, editing photos for hours drinking coffee and eating good food. The customer service was friendly and quick which is always good.

Possibly the best food throughout my trip in NZ. 4 of us shared a Agria Potato, Eggs benny w/ Asian inspired pork belly and a lamb shawarma with 2 coffees. all under NZD $90. all hits, no misses. Classic dishes with modern interpretation, especially popular with locals as well. Cafe food normally doesn't hold up to a proper restaurant, but this joint is testament that great food can be found anywhere. Must go in Twizel.

Such a cute place! Good variety on the menu. I got the charred greens and a smoothie. 10/10

Stayed in Twizel for a day and my husband and I came here for lunch. We had the fried chicken, some sweet chilli roasted vegetables and he ordered a long black. Everything was great, the chicken was nicely fried, not dry and the sauce was tasty. The roasted vegetables are some of the best vegetables I've ever had, and love that it's such a healthy dish too. I don't drink coffee but my husband said the long black was good too :)

Popped in for breakfast, on a misty cold morning. Inside, met by lovely welcoming staff and an open (gas) fire! Didn't have long so went for cabinet food vs cooked breakfast, and was excellent value for money and well heated up (always a grumble of mine when cabinet foods not heated up in the middle). Lovely.

2nd visit after our first 3 years ago & Mint Folk & Co raised the bar from our excellent first experience. This time I had a beetroot smoked salmon Benedict on potato rosti. Staff are friendly and so welcoming. Coffee was fantastic too. Such a great place to eat or pickup a coffee and some delicious sweet slices or cakes

Nice restaurant a few streets away from the main road, with delicious food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a good time here. They offer various meals, including a selection to share and vegetarian options.

Fabulous food and friendly service! Best lunch we’ve had in a very long time. Playground outside on the village green for the kids is wonderful too.

Boyfriend had the big breakfast. He was very pleased as well. Next time — cookie Carmel square will happen too. Super fast service and cute outdoor space.
