Review Saints Cafe, Restaurant & Bar - Waiau

It is one of the places I ate in New Zealand. The consideration for the children was good, and the grill, mussel stew, and fish and chips were all the most satisfying during the vacation. I'll be back when Hanmer comes.

Yummy margherita pizza. The service was excellent, very friendly, and attentive. Nice atmosphere, warm and friendly vibe.

Went for dinner and ordered Stonegrill with chips and salad. Chips were average, salad was tasty, and steak was delicious. I must say that staff were polite and have found us a table when there were reservations at a later time. We have also visited for lunch in the next day and had Pulled beef nachos. Pulled beef mixter was tasty and corn nachos were crunchy to bite. There was no Avocado salsa unfortunately served as advertised.

Came to Saints Cafe, Restaurant & Bar for the first night on an anniversary trip. To be fair, was in a bad mood when I came in cos I hate travel, but the lovely staff banter quickly turned that around. Got the Fish & Chips and a Traffic Light drink. Fish is a contender for the nicest fish I've ever eaten. Chips cooked and seasoned perfect. Side salad was well dressed and complimented the fried components well. Traffic Light was a throw back, forgot how sweet they can be, but really enjoyed. Would definitely return!!! Thanks so much team.

Tucked away down the back, we found this awesome bar/restaurant. We choose to sit outside, as it was a lovely day. The inside was very warm and homely perfect for the upcoming colder months. Staff were awesome, very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and reasonably priced. I definitely will be going back when I'm in hanmer next. Highly recommend to everyone 😊 Well done team! 👏

It was our first visit to Hanmer springs and very short holiday, only one night. Especially, on Tuesday there weren't many opened restaurants, we were quite careful to choose the place to eat dinner. And, eventually we were very happy with our choice. Waitresses were very kind, and food was really yummy! Between 7 and 8pm, you can get some of cocktails 2 for 1. If we go to Hanmer springs, then we would like to have dinner here again to try other food!

Beautiful restaurant! Great deals on every night, we had 2 for 1 stone grill meals on a Wednesday and the meat was delicious and even better, you could cook it however you like it with the stone grill plate! Garlic bread loaf was perfect for 2 people.

Wonderful place. The food was excellent. The service was great. We went there for lunch on a quiet day, so we were lucky. From what we could see, the menu is really well done, and they can deliver. Only note would be to have the bathrooms renovated, but it certainly did not detract from the experience.

Kids friendly place and good food, but don't go there to relax. It's loud, people play pools and it's not a relaxing environment. Otherwise, friendly staff and reasonable prices for the town.

this place is 20 out of 10 !!! loved every mouthful so much i went home and tried to replicate 1 of thier dishes. the service was spectacular and the meals for the price were definetly worth it, far from stingey and a wonderful.experience espically for it being during a busy holiday period. Thank you so much saints, you pleased a very fussy eater who critiques everything, thoroughly enjoyed

Had the ribs meal, initially thought this sauce must be covering average ribs. Glad I was very wrong, the ribs were superb and the sauce(got the sticky Thai) was very tasty. Normally don't each much of the Coleslaw but my plate was clean. For desert got the brownie, the serving size of this is massive, could easily be shared. This is great brownie, real brownie not the cakey type, made the mistake of sharing it with my partner instead of taking it away for later. Great pub atmosphere, wish we were in the area longer to try a few of their other options.

Delicious large pizzas, 2 for 1 on Tuesdays. My chicken pasta was to die for. 😋 Well worth the money. Plus happy hour cocktails were a bonus.

Honestly, I love the deals they do everyday, we were lucky to go in for a bit on Thursday so it was $25 Ribs night...ohhh n the cocktails 🍸 was so delicious 😋 😍. Highly recommend if ur out in tekapo. Thanks to our lovely waiter.

Food was okay. Staff were helpful. Orange Roughy was fish of the day and really lovely. Bolognese pasta was cooked to perfection for my liking. Unfortunately, the tomato mince sauce was lacking in flavour just overpowered by bitterness. Maybe it was prepared or bottled, but with some caramelised onion & garlic and some balancing of the flavours would make it perfect.

Probably one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Try the Prime Beef Stone Grill that you can cook to your liking. The chicken salad was so good too. The chicken is so tender and moist. The service is super friendly.

Absolutely delicious meals, went back a second night. Wonderful staff, excellent atmosphere. Will certainly be back when we next visit Hanmer. Highly recommended
