Ohinemuri Estate Winery And Restaurant - Waihi - Photo album

We were in the area hiking around Karangahake Gorge and decided to stop in for some wine and a snack. We were happily surprised by this hidden gem. The owner was super nice, the wine was great, and the meat and cheese board really hit the spot. This is a super cool spot and definitely work a look if
I surprised my wife with a lunch here and what an EXPERIENCE!!! We arrived and were greeted with the most friendliest of faces and conversation from our waitress. The food was very good and the wine (Gewurtztraminer, a must try!) was divine. Overall, lovely experience and will definitely be coming b
Amazing cheese platers, ciders and wines...very refreshing and crisp on a warm summer day! If you are a blue cheese lover, the best one in NZ lives here!
Nice place to relax after a long walk around. Tasty food and good service. Recommend to all
After a 3hr walk around the area, this was a most welcome stop. There's a convenient path up to the restaurant by the opening to the old trail tunnel. Good selection of wines (and mead!), great food, music and great service. Sit outside if possible as the scenery is awesome.
Lovely spot for wine and lunch after walking in the beautiful karangahake gorge. Cosy and warm inside with a fireplace on a cold day. Able to cater for gluten/dairy free diets. Try the Gewürztraminer.
Great restaurant near rail tunnel path way with good options to eat and drink
Fantastic location and the food is amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Thanks for making our birthdays special
Fantastic winery at the end of the rail tunnel walk. Emerge from the tunnel turn left and go up the hill less than a 5 min walk.
Delicious. The staff is really friendly and professional. I personally took the vegetarian bowl and the peach in dessert, it was really really good !
A wonderfully different location. The fire was a lovely touch on a misty cold day. Service was fantastic. The pork belly was outstanding, my husbands words😀. I just wish that i had room for dessert, as the Pannacotta looked amazing. Also had the wine sampler, the Rose was a hit with me and left wit
I booked for my partner and I for the Valentines evening here and forgot to say that we are vegetarian. The set menu was meat based, though when I asked the staff, they were more than happy to prepare a vegetarian meal for us. It was delicious, as is the house-made fruit wine :)
Great food, good wine and lovely staff. We went for mother's day and had a great time, a few of us shared a platter which was really good, my wife had the salmon and said it was amazing, and another had the pot pie, that turned out to be huge, and thoroughly loved it. I would recommend going here.
Host and owner are lovely. Food was amazing got thr platter for 3 and did not disappoint. If you get a chance try the mead. It's heaven Easy to miss if you're not looking for it which adds to the charm
Fantastic shared platters with various unique wine varieties. The platters were the best I have ever had, with a selection of amazing homemade condiments, including divine bacon jam, amazing quality cheeses, vegetables, cured meat and incredible bread! It ended up serving us as a meal. The wines are
Beautiful location, perfect day, hard working Kitchen and service folks (Owner!) - busy as all hell serving 5 Star food. We had Seafood chowder (huge shared between two) and we both had King Fish (equally large, so between us, we took an entire portion home as takeout) Despite large numbers of table
