Kava Cafe - Waihi - Photo album

Coming back from the beach, we were all hungry for a good food. Among the very few places open, we found this nice and cozy restaurant in Waihi. We order the hot salad, nice and well seasoned. The pizza was on special and the meat one was delicious, homemade and looking fantastic. My one was pasta w
Wow what an amazing place! You could almost miss it passing through on the main street but once inside very welcoming. Not overly contemporary but very warm, well organised and clean. The mocha I had was lovely, traditional mug and the coffee itself silky smooth, not a hint of burntness which can be
Good food, the omelette was the softest I ever had, super interesting. The pie was loaded too.
Was looking for an eatery that was open on a public holiday and our favs were closed. As there were very few options in town, we decided to give this place a try for a late lunch. We all commented that the burgers were rather delicious and the chips were perfect without a significant wait for the me
Nice Cafe. The pizza was yummy! Menus everywhere though and was hard to move between them all. All in different fonts and sizes. Way up high, under the counter, on the counter, staff didn't feel very organized. But food was good so made up for it
Lots of choices, friendly people and the meal was excellent. Husband had an omelette which was very tasty and full of the fillings he chose. I had big breakfast and it was a good feed. Recommend and will definitely go there again.
Appearance can be deceiving. Though the decor might not suit some, I assure you this cafe has everything you might want. Alcohol, kids meals, lime milkshakes, Thai chicken salad, burgers, nachos and coffee. Staff were friendly, kind, and obviously committed to their job. Great service, good food, an
I was in Kava the other day, and they were flat out with lunch rush. Lady comes eating a pie from somewhere else and expects to be served and get a seat. The manager recommends she and her group leaves. Good on him. She should have brought her pie from Kava. Best Lamb pies in Waihi.
Some of the dessert's could be better. Hot chocolate was only warm when it arrived at the table
This was the only place opened to have a coffee on a Saturday afternoon (After 5pm). We were 10 coming back home after being in Waihi beach and really needed that stop. The service was friendly and the food and drinks were nice as well.
Nice lamb pie and cuppa tea. Friendly humour is always appreciated.
Fantastic lunch on Boxing Day. While a number of cafes in Waihi were closed, Kava managed to provide a fantastic lunch while they were VERY busy. Particularly good were the corn fritters and Crispy BLT. Good prices too. Well done Kava
I like the genuine kiwi feel of this place, as a visitor from Wellington. Cosy family friendly rooms at the back of the main cafe are great (board games, toys provided). A notice alerting that some staff were hearing impaired spoke to me about welcoming the everyday person from all walks of life. We
Stopped for pizza and it was fantastic. Recommended pizzas. Very friendly service as well
