Stopped for lunch on our road trip, had read many good reviews so thought we would try it. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops we have ever been to. Big pieces of fish, large battered sausages and two very generous scoops of curly fries. Perfectly cooked, not too oily or greasy. Fast and friendly service, now definitely on our list of must stop and eat places.
The food is always in point here! Fresh fish, and seafood salad are a favorite. But anything you buy from here is good.
Best burgers I recon in town! Staff are always so busy but make you feel welcome.

dropped in on my way through one afternoon for a snack... the fish burger was so massive I didn't need dinner! generous helping of curly fries, fed two of us. very happy, if I lived in waihi I would be eating here regularly!

On our north island tour we stopped at Kelly's for a quick spot of lunch. OMG I do think we have found the BEST fish and chips in NZ. The batter was light non greasy and super tasty, we enjoyed a delicious meal of fish, mussels, scallops and beer battered chips all served with a side of lemon (a lovely addition). Kelly's was so good it's left us craving fish and chips and disappointed with all other places we have tried on our tour. If there was ever a place that should start a franchise it would be Kelly's. Well done guys, keep up the great work. We will definitely be detouring past your place again in the future.

These folk know how to cook! Fish was fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly. Burgers are a substantial meal in themselves. Premises impeccably clean, staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
These guys know how to serve up a Kiwi summer classic. All the seafood was fresh and tasted great. The batter was light and nicely seasoned. The chips were cooked nicely and weren't overly greasy. The husband and wife (I presume) were charming and helpful. Worth a stop on the way back from the beach.
Hawaiian burgers, fishes, pineapples platters and some chips. It was everything nice and fresh. Burgers were very nice with beetroot. We ordered a few items and missed one item but one of them came out from the stop to get us soon.
I Hope this shop will soon on the top ten list of New Zealand fish and chips shop.
Stopped in on our way home to get some Dinner. Beautiful food, well cooked fish that was juicy and full of flavour. Generous helping of chips and the fish was very big. Definitely got our moneys worth and a yummy meal.
