Wow. It’s absolutely gorgeous and very well looked after. The food is amazing, and the cafe is beautiful! I first went here back in 2012 as a little girl, and I still remember it and have all the photos. So of course, I wanted to go back to see it now and it was so amazing! The food was great and the people are lovely. It’s in a beautiful setting as well, the outdoor area is wonderful and the indoor area is cozy and lovely. I recommend this cafe to everyone in Waikanae, it’s amazing and you will be so impressed!

Great food in a stylish setting with service that is without fuss. We had the ribeye and lamb, the latter being slightly underdone, however overall this is an excellent restaurant for all occasions, we will be back for sure.

Cannot fault the food both myself and my partner had entree main and dessert and all was delicious. Perfect portion sizes and perfect service. Only down fall was getting eaten alive by sand flies as door was open (it is a hot summer's night). Overall would definitely go back

Lovely and warm on a cool day and surprisingly busy on a weekday. Food range is good... both cabinet food and menu. My fish meal was delicious tho fish portion was modest. My friend's pie was full of flavour but the base pastry texture seemed like it may have whizzed by a microwave? Lovely staff. Has a great deal for coffee and either a muffin or other baked item for $7 so looking forward to checking that out!

Down from Auckland to spend Christmas at home with family, My son turn 20 while here so we decide to come to Maison 8 for dinner to celebrate.The staff were the friendliest I've ever had and very efficient. Meals were well presented and enjoyable. Easy access to car parking. Very quiet so you could enjoy you meal.

Great dining experience. The food was delicious and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only surprise was the actual menu is different to that advertised on their website but the choice was still excellent.

From beginning to end this restaurant was great. Four of us shared a flat bread which was tasty but not filling. Order a couple if you are hungry. Our mains were excellent, presented beautifully. Staff professional.

We enjoyed the semi informal atmosphere then very satisfied with an excellent well balanced and creatively presented meal preceded by complimentary mini smoke-fish croquet in aoli. Staff were friendly and pleased with our enjoyment.

It's not often my wife and I go out for an upmarket dining experience, so when we do it is always a bonus that the place we choose really fits the bill, and Maison 8 certainly does. The ambience is very nice and the food is just perfect (based on what we ate). Highly recommended.

I go in there quite frequently for the beautiful food and amazing staff. They make the best coffee I have ever had and it is always served with a smile. I couldn't recommend this place more, whether it is for a coffee date, lunch or Dinner the food is always cooked perfectly with beautiful flavour. 10/10 would recommend :)

We popped in during a family bike ride for morning tea. We took up the offer of coffee and baking for $6. The staff were fantastic, made the best fluffies my kids have had in ages and the staff were polite, helpful and so keen to make sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend as a lovely place to visit.

I've been to Maison 8 a few times for lunch but this was the first time I had been for dinner. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly. We were served with a delicious little Amuse Bouche while we were waiting for our meal. I ordered an appetizer of an oyster while my friend had the prawn beignet. I had the pork belly for my main and my friend had the John Dory. We got a dish of seasonal veg to share. The meals were beautifully presented and the flavours were delicious. We finished the meal with the Creme Brulee served with raspberry sorbet and mascerated raspberries. The evening was delightful and I can't wait to come back again. Maison 8 is a little pearl in Waikanae.

We dined here last night at Maison 8 with a group of 8! It was my first return after a not so pleasant experience 2 years ago. Maison 8 I have to say your food is absolutely delicious... From starter to share prawns to the most tasty beef short rib main to the delicate pear tart to finish. I will definitely be back again, so nice to have a dining restaurant in the kapiti coast that definitely put a lot of love Into their food, there was not one thing about my food to fault ....and I am one picky customer when it comes to food ! Well done and can't wait to visit again and try more off your menu

I love dining at Maison 8. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Having booked a table recently for 3, there was a misunderstanding and the table was set for 2 but we were reseated as soon as a larger table became available without any fuss. The food is delicious and presented beautifully and we were treated to an amuse bouche before the main arrived. My fellow diners and I ordered a main and dessert which was delicious. I had occasion to dine again just before Christmas for lunch. Again we were welcomed warmly by Henia and her staff. I ordered the fish cakes and so did my fellow diner with our other friend ordering the chicken salad. We all agreed that the food was delicious and beautifully presented. For dessert 2 of us ordered the White chocolate mousse and our other friend ordered the creme brulee. Again a simply enjoyable dining experience and a place I can't recommend highly enough! It never fails to please.

Enjoyable evening with friends on Saturday night. Good ambience and fairly busy. Had a selection of tapas style starters to share, really tasty, especially the prawn. Mains were full of flavor, especially the fish of the day special. Service was reasonable, but could have been better to match the food quality. Would definitely return and recommend.

I really like the ambiance of this place and the waitresses are very welcoming and attentive. The food we had was good and well presented. We'll try their coffee and pastry next time.

Excellent choice for our Father's Day celebration. We were entertained eventhough we do not have a reservation. The staff were polite and nice. The panfried fish was the best.
