I have been doing a few fish n chip reviews on youtube and these are up there with the good ones ... I really liked them ..cooked to perfection..plus battered and cooked on the spot .check out the review youtube j spraggo.

Waikuku Beach General Store, Present owners have only been their seven months but made some great changes to the interior of the shop much more open and everything well displayed. Great hot chips and seriously good coffee. Great Service Friendly staff. Great place to get that ice-cream after a walk along the beach.

Amazing pies. Went in just to get ice creams and happened across some of the best homemade pies we've ever had. Very friendly staff and great fish n chips as well.

Ordered for Friday night dinner.. had the fresh tarakihi and the kids got hot dogs.. awesome feed , good chips and fresh fish...great service , if they are busy they will even give you a call when your order is ready.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend to try the Kumara chips. Fantastic, and a lovely setting, it's old-school New Zealand at its finest. Worth a trip from Christchurch
