National Army Museum Cafe - Waiouru - Photo album

A definite must visit museum this part of New Zealand. Give yourself at least 2 hours to enjoy the exhibition and to take in what these brave, ordinary men who did extraordinary things did for you and me. Very well thought of and executed display with the timeline as it should be. Definitely wort
Beautifully commemorated NZ army involvement in WWI, WWII, Vietnam and Iraq. Lots of exhibits to see. Good place to show the young generation.
Must a visit, very educational. The museum is very well organised, super clean, and big. We went there as it is my son's birthday wish to see the National Army Museum. He really enjoyed his time there. ♥️
Well spent money. Really nicely made museum with interesting facts. The kids playing area was a bonus and we had so much fun there. Family pass cost $35 which we feel was pretty cheap compared to other museums. You can't sit or jump in any placed vehicles but it was cool to watch. We will definite
Haven't been inside recently but a couple of time when I was young, it's a must if not been before. Great place for a break on your road trip. The tanks are fun for the kids to play on outside they there are picnic tables for lunch or a tasty hot beverage.
Interesting place to visit with a very well presented display of military equipment and weapons. A feature display that was on, showing snapshots of the Auschwitz prisoner of war camp. Multiple levels of display with a large cafe as you come in. Plenty of parking out back for campers and caravans. P
The museum itself is great, but there is also a great cafe to stop at. We were traveling from Palmerston North through to Hamilton so the stop was ideal for the kids to get out and explore on a wet day. The kids loved the interactive part, dress ups and playing in the bunker.
We came across this museum due to it offering freedom camping in the back of the building. The freedom camping spot was great and we enjoyed the museum the next morning. Huge exhibits discussing the holocaust, WWI, and WWII. We learned a lot about New Zealand’s involvement in the wars, highly recomm
This was a great place to visit. It had a bit of something for all the family. The kids enjoyed the activities that were available and particularly enjoyed dressing up in the Kids HQ. We even saw some adult having a got too. It bought to life all that our Soliders and service animals past and presen
Nice little museum about the history of New Zealands Army and military interventions. Also, a section on the Holocaust.
