Black Estate Wines - Waipara - Photo album

We had a great lunch at Black Estate. Beautiful scenery with great wine and food. Staff were friendly, would visit again!
Great modern architecture, service and food. The pappardelle were great, up to italian standards. The best were the Brussels cauliflowers sprouts. Amazing the wine, the pinot noir was very fresh, with a sparkling point
What a place to lunch and relax, food was amazing, views are amazing, service was amazing. Not a bad drive out from chch, easily doable in a day, can hop over to other vineyards in the area while you’re at it. We had a 3 year old with us, the cellar door and restaurant very accomodating for children
My partner and I did a day trip here from Christchurch. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. We ordered a selection from the menu and everything was spectacular. All local ingredients bursting with flavour. This was matched with beautiful sweeping views of the vineyards and rolling hi
We came here for lunch and had the wine pairing, amazing food and great wines! If I was being harsh I'd say there were slightly too many raw parts of the menu-tartare, raw lamb and white fish crudo but honestly we had a great time! And the views were beautiful!!!
Genuinely surprised to find this family owned local winery. I love the slightly fusion food with the specially prepared sauces. The scenery is open and relaxing. Do try out the Riesling and Pinot Noir; I personally like them the best. The venison entree is stunning and so is the seasonal vege. All i
Like owning your own vineyard. We started with a fantastic lunch paired with great wines and served by the welcoming team. After lunch we moved to a wine tasting on the terrace and watched the sun go down over the hills. We were lucky enough to have booked the very well-appointed B&B room and relax
We arrived at Black Estate Water wines by bike and were served delicious food by gracious staff. We drunk the wine from the block directly in front of us. World class food and location.
Probably one of my favourite places in NZ. The food is seriously excellent, the wine is out of this world and the setting is breathtaking. It’s a small scale place. Intimate. The staff are excellent and you just don’t want to leave. No coach parking. The sign of a good winery. My go to for showing o
What a great location, with a wonderful view of the vineyard. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The menu was original, the food beautifully plated and it tasted amazing. Black Estate is a must visit.
Picturesque location and seriously good food, wine and service. Thank you Abbie for hosting us and creating such a beautiful and memorable experience.
My favorite place in Canterbury. We visit often and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible. The wine is pretty good too 😉🥂 can't wait for our next visit.
Great place for a lunch. We stopped in here for a lunch and were amazed by the selection of wine and food. It’s not the cheapest of places but the staff are lovely, very experienced and helpful. The food was tasty and all locally sourced.
Excellent on all fronts! The service was professional, friendly and at the right level for the venue. The waiter was well informed about the wines. The wine was superb and the right temperature. The food was delicious, different, rich and well balanced with just the right portion size for the style
Fantastic place just off the highway. Decided to make a short detour for lunch but stayed for more than an hour. Highly recommend the lamb, butterfly butter fish and Roasted potatoes. Lamb was juicy, tender and flavourful but the fish was the highlight of the day. Thick fillet topped with seasoned
Fantastic. Must visit, friendly well informed staff. Amazing atmosphere. Incredible food and wine. Black Estate 2014 piont noir was Incredible.
Lovely service and sharing plates. Scenery outstanding. If it's a good day Def sit outside. Lovely Autumn grape colours
Wow! 5 stars for Black Estate. Visited a couple of weeks ago, driving up driveway, struck by modern sleek building that hosts restaurant and B & B below. Blown away by outstanding views, could be in Tuscany! Greeted by very friendly staff on arrival. Was seated overlooking spectacular vista from res
We had a lovely time! The food was spot on, as were the wine selections. The views were spectacular. Highly recommend for a wonderful afternoon. Thanks team!
