Wonderful café with fabulous owners Kerry and Kim, who are very warm and welcoming, always making sure you feel at home. I come here as often as I can as I love the place. A great place to stop for food and coffee, or why not a craft beer or wine? And you get to admire Kim's artwork which is on display.

A lovely cafe! A great stop on the way to Kaikoura from Christchurch. We were able to take 2 great cappuccinos and delicious pies take away and the convenient location added no extra time to the journey. Highly recommended as a stop either for a long sit down break in a cozy atmosphere or a quick stop-by. Thank you!

These people were so welcoming to our Can-am group that they closed for a private function. The location was brilliant with a sizable car park for our 38 Spyders and Rykers. The owner worked hard to get our food out in a timely fashion, although short staffed.

Great service, lovely coffee, and slice. Next to a warm fire on a chilly day

Wonderful Cafe with great decor. The food and tea was very good but the highlight for us was the history of the Cafe and how it was transformed from an ugly building into a stylish Cafe and gallery. You have to read the book they have about their transition. The artist/owner Kim Henderson has work displayed and a very interesting book of her life and art, the stories are told with fantastic drawings and lots of humor. Kim and staff are very friendly and fun to be around. A must see if passing the area. 1

What a great place to stop! Blink and you’ll pass it so make sure to program it into your google maps - great coffee (decaf was good) and the homemade sausage roll was the best i have had in a LONG time! Great service and plenty of seating inside and outside. Toilets nice and clean too. Definitely recommend...!!!

My first visit or first stop more Like and it won’t be my last. Loved the big breakfast I had there and the plates were even warmer apart from the nice hot food. The hosts were so friendly, nice to feel the warmth as you walk in too. 💯👏

Great place for a group to dine. We went with a car club and around 30 people. Great food and very helpful staff. Thanks for looking after us.

We had to grab lunch on our way to Picton and this was perfect place. Excellent location but you can miss this if you dont notice. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We told them we are in a hurry and they set right expectations for wait time. One of staff was so kind enough to keep updating with a gorgeous smile. Soup of day, Fish & chips & brownie were awesome. I would strongly recommend this place.

Stumbled across this little cafe while out geocaching and thought it would be the perfect place to stop for some refreshments and it certainly was. What a little diamond, staff are so so friendly, take the time to engage with you like your old friends over for a visit. The food was delicious. As a vegan I don't often find something I can eat and when I do the flavour just isn't always there. Not true for here though, the samosa I had was bursting with flavour from the very first bite. I really can't rate it enough. The cafe is also very clean and as a wonderful atmosphere, highly recommend.

A lovely leisurely lunch half an hour about north of Amberley - SH1 Picton to Christchurch.

Family and friends travelling New Zealand from the UK. Random find, but wow! Absolutely lovely staff, who even cooked our vegan traveller a meal from scratch when there was nothing on the menu that was possible. Beautiful surroundings, and food was awesome. Really wonderful home cooked food. Thank you

We stopped here on our way to Picton from Christchurch. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with happy smily faces. We orderd big breaky and eggs benny. So very tasty! Im sure the happy smiley faces were the owners, but as we got our meals Master owner came to our table and told me that spinach on eggs benny is very Australian, and he stated its not spinach. His chef is a forager and bought me some over fresh to try. I cant remember what it was called but delicious non the less. This quirky cafe, with its art, from local artist, teapot, mirror, old wares collectables, is an extremely cosy atmosphere and top notch food and service. Please visit, you wont be disapointed! 100 out of 10 for us Aussie travellers 👍🙂

Took my classic car for a run with a mate up to Fossil Point Cafe. Highly recommend the Seafood Chowder. Best there is. Went up with the Austin Healey Club a couple of weeks later when our trip to Arthur's Pass got cancelled owing to road closure. Kim and Kerry hosted 16 of us at short notice and provided stellar service and great lunch.
