Review The Coffee Club (wairau Junction) - Wairau Valley

Gazza. NZ
Gotta say this is by far the cleanest CC I've ever been in (North or South Island) & is what I personally expect as the minimum standard. Staff are friendly and the service is really good. Food is moderately priced and prepared to a good standard. Do recommend you give it a go!

Perfect iced latte, fantastic service with a smile, and a great set-up with good indoor/outdoor flow. It’s always nice parking up on the expansive outdoor deck when you’re there on a nice day. It’s an A+ from me! Hamish Dorrington Kakapo Business Sales

Amazing customer service. Every staff member greets you with a smile and they seems very happy to have you there. Top quality food and of course coffee. Great place to come for a quick bite or coffee.

Our regular stop after the granddaughter's ballet lesson Saturdays. Food is always served quickly and consistently good. Very friendly staff and some books and toys for the kids. Tried the new hotdogs 🌭 very tasty.

I stopped by this place for a cup of coffee, and while I found the coffee to be average in terms of taste, I must say that the service was commendable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcomed. Sometimes, a good experience goes beyond the product itself, and the positive interactions with the service team definitely enhanced my visit. If you're simply looking for a spot to take a break, relax, and enjoy a decent cup of coffee, this place could be a suitable option. While the coffee may not blow you away, the friendly service adds a pleasant touch to the overall experience.

Hi Team - popped in with my little baby to grab some takeaway coffee & food today, you guys went above and beyond to package everything up so I could get to the car with a baby on one arm and food on the other. Food was amazing - thanks for the amazing service & yum food/coffee

Mean feed, good value, nice staff, prompt service, been Mon - Sun no probs with time to wait. If you are a fussy overly hard to please individual then no you would probably not be happy enough here, for the rest of us mere citizens looking for some bacon and hash browns, check out the big breakfast.......gnarly. Good luck getting through it. Thanks Coffee Club. Updated with a lunch photo yum, Nov 2017

Those chicken tacos are to die for! Also a very comfy atmosphere, even amongst the business of the junction. The cherry on top is the wonderful service! Will be coming back for sure

Great place to eat, staff very friendly and professional, recommend for just a coffee or a full meal.

Had the worst eggs Benedict ever. Lovely waitress but that was the only good thing about it. Fathers Day and a birthday so was very disappointing- just eggs on plain bread with a few leave of spinach, greasy and awful hash browns with shrivelled up mushrooms. We waited over an hour for our meals. Was the worst meal ever. Won’t be back. 🤮

Love coming here food is always great, never a disappointment. Lovely staff as well

I came here as it is next to my gym and is in a handy location although the food takes absolutely forever to come out where we even waited thirty minutes for an eggs benedict which was just plain eggs on toasted bread it is also very expensive and was not worth

I can’t say much about the service because there is no service at all. No greetings, no thank you, no goodbyes. It’s weird. <br/>Food wasn’t worthy for the prices. Tasteless but in good quantity. <br/>Environment was comfortable and easy for parking.

Despite all the negative comments I had no issues whatsoever. Maybe because I only had coffee not food. Maybe I should try their food next time but it looked not cheap

Went for breakfast today - got salmon eggs Benedict , berry French toast and a couple drinks. The food was nice but the service today was stink & needs work - no welcome greeting or acknowledgement, the server was short when asked a couple questions about the juice and kept saying “look at the menu”. Will not be back to this branch in a hurry.

Went here for a quick meeting and to have lunch. Wanted something different and healthy. I spent 5 minutes debating with myself whether or not to order a Mexican Salad for $20.50! Whole lettuce at supermarket.....$2.99......Mexican Salad $20.50.............. I ended up just having a coffee and skipping lunch.<br/>Interesting fact.......When going up to counter to pay for my coffee, the cook called out ‘order’. The waitress said....it’s another coffee! There were 13 people in the coffee club. All but 2 ordered just coffee. Coffee Club, lower your food prices if you want to sell food. Who pays $20 for a Mexican salad?????<br/>Service was friendly and good.

Went here with my partner on Sunday for lunch while we were shopping. The cafe is nice lots of places to sit, open plan.<br/><br/>Staff weren't interested in niceties, no hello how are you? Just a have you decided what you want. When the meals were dropped off the lady walked away without saying anything.<br/><br/>Food was not nice at all, I thought going to a chain meant that they were all the same. The food here really is not anything like the others. I had the calamari and my partner had the club sandwich. My calamari was burnt rubbery and not worth the calories.<br/><br/>Definitely wouldn't be coming back here again. Too many places to eat that has nice food.

Came in for a quick stop for some hot chocolate and seasoned chips. The location and ambience is nice with indoor and outdoor seating available. The service wasn’t great, no welcome upon arrival and no communication from the waitress when food and drinks were being served. Hot chocolate wasn’t hot although seasoned chips were good. Food and drinks were not worth the price in my opinion. Probably won’t come back here again.

Service was really bad!!!! Went there with my best friend and got the worst service, didn’t even apologise for their mistake, and then gave us dirty look, made me feel uncomfortable.

We have come here a few times to try out the different cabinet food and have never been disappointed! I got a chicken wrap and my partner got the chicken Camembert Panini! Thought it would come as is but came with a fresh salad which was dressed perfectly! There iced chocolate tasted and looked amazing and there coffee was just how I like it!

Waiting for our breakfast for the last 30 min. Still no sign of it.. And i just ordered some salad and egg benedict.. Super slow. And they ran out of corn fritters at 11am..

Not a bad experience, but won't be returning. <br/>Coffee wasn't bad, could have been better. Ordered wedges, they had run out and I was approached quickly by a friendly kitchen staff member who was happy to switch us to fries and refund us the difference. <br/>Although, for how busy they were the fries took far too long to arrive and when they did they were overcooked and the portion was quite small...<br/>If you're rich and want a small, average quality meal, this is the place for you...

Have to say the worst cafe experience I have ever had. This cost me $80 which depresses me so much!! Coffee was the worst I have ever tasted - I didn't know you could actually do that to coffee! 2 x $11 kids meals of 2 pancakes, scoop of ice-cream, $17 for 2 microwaved poached eggs, barely cooked bacon, soggy half tomato and a couple bits of bread and a burger which was not worth $19!! I should have known when I sat down on the duct taped together, dirty bench!! HOW is this place still open??? They get a 1 as the staff were pleasant!!

overall experience of this establishment is the worst possible café and service that we have ever encounted mainly due to the long wait(café attendance was low) for the arrival of the coffee that had been ordered, at one stage we thought just maybe the staff and lack of service was because they were waiting for the "Second Coming"<br/>Drive past !!!!!

Visited for lunch and ordered the Asian Calamari Salad for $19.90. Incredibly overpriced for a plate of coleslaw drowned in sweet chilli sauce and some calamari. My partner ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and it seemas though it had been 'modernised' to the point where it was no longer what it should have been. Took a long time to get the food out to us when there was only 2 other tables at the time. Wont go back...

First coffee delivered was week and soapy second double shot was bitter and undrinkable. Eggs on toast for $13 was strangely presented, not sure how the eggs were poached. Water glasses dirty, windows smeary. One team member late. Expensive. Much better cafes charge $6 less for the same meal. No atmosphere at all. Reminder not to choose a cafe just because it is open which is all this cafe had going for it early on Sunday morning<br/><br/>

At constellation drive <br/>20 $ for three fish fingers with mayo no tartar sauce and hand full of frys <br/>Off to Wendy's now I need food<br/>This is a major ripped off

this place can be recommended should you have all day to waste as service is extremely slow maybe is faster service on slow boats to china, also is because of slowness the coffee is barely warm on arrival

As far as franchised coffee chains go, the Coffee Club is presently quite nicely with dark wooden furniture, quite an impressive set of dishes on it's menu, and helpful staff. This one at Wairau Junction has indoor/outdoor seating, good location between all the shops and car yards at Wairau and even a bit of an outlook. It's more a stop of convenience than a go to destination, but I was tempted by the cabinet food, and the coffee while not superlative, did the trick.

Their coffees are quite decent compared to the other cafes around the area. Best drink I've tried on their menu is the iced mocha with ice cream. Quite a few people in the office love it too!<br/><br/>However, tried the fish and chips special lunch deal they have on at the moment, and that wasn't that great. Fries too salty, fish batter was kind of tough and salad was dry with no sauce. Probably has put me off from ordering food from there again, but the picture on the ad was very tempting....

False advertising. Went to The Coffee Club WAIRAU PARK' for lunch. They have lunch specials so we chose 'The Reuben' which is a Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Cold-slaw combination on Cia bata bread. Our lunches were served with CORN BEEF instead of Pastrami. I asked the waiter about this and he said this is what head office is sending them and they have no control over what is sent to them????? Pardon Me? Too bad if I was allergic to corned meats and started eating not knowing of this fact. I can't guarantee it was Swiss Cheese either - tasted more like a soft cheddar melted. If a restaurant is advertising something on their menu and its not what they are actually serving, then not only is this not acceptable but this is false advertising. The waiter also said 'yeah another thing that is wrong with our menu is the Fish n Chips. Its meant to come with 3 fish fillets but we are only serving 1 fish!! WHAT??? Unfortunately we also purchased a Lemon &amp; Coconut slice which I could not eat. It had a sickly sweet base, no doubt mass produced and virtually no coconut on top, but instead a white sugar sprinkling. Can The Coffee Club please give me some feedback on my complaint otherwise I may be tempted to take this further.

Went for Sunday lunch. Food extremely overpriced and average, won't be back.

The most disgusting cookies and cream frappe i had in my life. Doesn't even taste like cookies and cream. For me it was just ice, milk, and sugar. And the cafe was playing heavy metal song, i don't feel relax at all!! Im very disappointed.
