Review Eastend Cafe And Bar - Wairoa

Hariata Hema
The only place in Wairoa that consistently serves excellent Havana coffee and high quality cafe food. I love it! Parking right outside, WiFi, everything I have ever eaten there is delicious, and I go there every time I am in Wairoa. Sandwiches, breakfast, scones, cake. Try them all

I go out of my way to stop here on my trips. Love the poached eggs breakfast with their very well made coffee.

Nice strong coffee and a great house-made gratin on the creamy mushrooms meal. Good range of seating options but the inside is a little cramped. Menu is not visible whilst waiting in queue to order so customers would need to stand out of line and figure out their order beforehand.

Awesome food and great staff. Well worth calling in for lunch. Very clever tile artwork in the entrance.

The food presentation was amazing and tasty. Service and wait time top notch. Surroundings very rustic and homely with a river view. Convenience, always busy the 3days I visited, definitely need expanding. Overall, compared to city cafes, 10/10. Awesome to the owners. Compliments to the chef and Kitchen staff and waitresses, especially to the lady who makes the homemade tomato relish...tino reka! Loved the Japanese lime tea. My only concerns, no hair nets and food safety handling gloves in the food preparation section which is visible to the public, but otherwise highly recommend.

Nice cafe in Wairoa. Possibly the best one. Very busy. We ordered cappuccino and flat white plus a chocolate raspberry brownie. It was really good. Standard price. The lady at the counter could be a bit more friendly but I understand everyone was quite busy and she's trying to get the order quickly. Beautiful spot by the river. Recommended!

I have coeliac disease and never find anything gluten free to take away that is both unique and delicious...anywhere. I stopped in briefly on our way South from Gisborne and found your curried cauli tart....I enjoyed it immensly! Not only was it yummy, the GF pastry was beautiful and the pepitas on top finished it off. Congrats and regards, Lesley from Tassie, Australia😁

Great cafe. Stopped here on an adventure bike tour. Great eggs Benedict with home made Hollandaise sauce. Good coffee and friendly staff.

Kai was fantastic. Chicken filo was tasty and salad was generous. Soup was also fantastic with complex flavours. Coffee was great and staff were friendly as. Come here for big city taste with small town friendliness, pace and price. Ka pai! A
