Great food. We did the chef's choice and the whole meal was fabulous. Great tofu and mushrooms, salmon, goat cheese, and duck.
As President of the Clean Plate Club, I can highly recommend the fish. The service was above and beyond common courtesy and at the level of truly nice and kind people wanting to host and provide the best quality food and hospitality.
Wow!!!! I’m still thinking about this place 5 days later the food was amazing best gnocchi I have had in years. The fried chicken was just crispy, crunchy and delicious. And the deserts so hard to explain how good they are you just gotta go try it
A tapas styled restaurant where you share dishes with your table. The food is beautifully presented and the portions are generous, unlike other fine restaurants. The vibe is casual but elegant. The total bill came up to be very reasonable as well. Would recommend a visit when you are in Wanaka. You
This is simply superb food – up there with the best of any fine dining we’ve had in NZ and Australia. As is now common at fine dining restaurants, Kika eschews the traditional entrée-main-dessert in favour of sharing plates of a series of small dishes, and then 1 or 2 mains, a side or 2 and a desser
We had a good meal at Kika. The tofu and the fried chicken were delicious! Goat cheese toast was good. The lamb shoulder was very tasty and the meat was soft👌🏽 The cabbage was just ok with nothing special. Broccolini dish was a bit too oily for our taste. Drinks were yummy. Service was great and we
Ordered fried chicken, market fish crudo, beef tartare and hot peach pie with ice cream. Overall, the dishes (piccolo) were well done and presented beautifully. Particularly liked the fried chicken. Service was also very good. Arrived slightly late but the restaurant kept the table. Staff also serve
Had an amazing birthday dinner here for my partner. We are vegan - the food was amazing and the service was fast. All the meals were delicious. Highly recommend the "Just Feed Me" option if you have a few people who can help eat it all, otherwise ask for a take out container. It makes a great me
Excellent. The best and most genuine service I had in my whole trip to NZ. Really friendly and attentive. The food was great some unusual combinations and really tasty. Good selection of wine available also. Would highly recommend.
Decadent and very sharable meal- one of the best we’ve had in New Zealand. We ordered a few starters— the salmon and the fried chicken— and then the duck leg confit and the truffle mushroom gnocchi. They walked us through each dish and what sizes things were, so we knew what to order. Wine list was
Brilliant …. Staff super accommodating in giving us a table with no reservation and then an outstanding meal all the way with great timing between the dishes. Service excellent its a must if you around Wanaka. Dishes in the photos beef tartare, smoked cured king salmon, corn ribs, confit duck leg an
Food was fine dining, with a bit more smart causal dining feel. We walked in without reservations and we got sitted at high table right next to the door. Not great seats. Service was friendly but seems busy. They are very busy, 80% full. Food was out of this world. So good. Came here for vegan cho
Surprised that such an amazing restaurant is tucked away in the hidden nook and crannies of Wanaka. ALL the piccolos were on point! Each one was better than the next. Produce was fresh, flavours were balanced, and the dishes were not derivative of one another. Actually their main dish was probably t
We did the set menu with 8 friends. This was probably the best restaurant experience I have ever had in New Zealand. The food was incredible, great wine and the amount of food was great. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone.
absolutely one of the best meals we’ve had on our travels! thoughtful wine parings, delicious menu, knowledgeable and engaging staff. best clams we’ve had! highly recommend.
Great food, great service, great beers and great wine. Can't go wrong here! Ensure you book in advance though.
Not too posh, no obvious dress code and the menu is designed to share. We went with the trust the chef option for $80pp without wine pairings. The highlight of the meal was the frangipane dessert, though it was hard to share this between two. Duck and potatoes were nice and unfaulted however we fel
just had cocktails and desert. loved the kitchens ideas. Their presentations and platings were decent, but the flavors were decidely bland. I loved that the peach pie wasn't too sweet, but did not love that the cocktail was. I will be back to try dinner properly as the staff was kind and the ambian
One of the best meals that we have had in NZ, South Island. We had the beef tartare and seared tuna for starters; the presentation, combination of flavours were outstanding. Every bite was delicious and we just can’t get enough of it. We had the market fish to share for our main. The fish was fres
