Review Burrito Craft - Wanaka

Visited this store for the first time after the Roy’s Peak hike and was pleasantly surprised. The burrito was exceptionally good and came in a generous portion – it was practically a meal for two, yet only cost me $18.5. Such an amazing deal! The side dish, Tortilla Chips with dip, was also delicious. You can place your order via the kiosk and choose your preferred level of spiciness. If you prefer to pay in cash, you can order at the counter as well. The food was served quickly and piping hot. I returned another day after the Rocky Mountain hike, taking my burrito to Wanaka Beach. Basking in the sun while enjoying the burrito was the perfect way to conclude my Wanaka trip. I'll definitely be back again!

Great burrito food truck find in a small little nook. Very pleased that they offered options for dairy free. Try the crispy monk fish ... simply outstanding

Tried the pull pork burrito bowl & fish taco. Would recommend the burrito though it might be quite salty. For those who doesn’t like their food to be too saucy, perhaps you could ask for lesser sauce.

Got the fish and pulled pork burritos (large) which were tasty and filling. The set of 3 tacos were nicely presented but the taste was a little off - perhaps something wrong with the sauce or the slaw. Pleasant location to stop for a casual bite and would definitely give them another try.

Tacos were great - we ordered the three flavoured tacos and the mushroom one tasted really amazing with their special sauce. Fish one was not bad too but the beef one is rather mediocre. Definitely go for the mushroom or fish tacos!

Best burrito we’ve ever had. It was so good we drove back 3 hours for a second burrito a few days later. Highly recommend the spicy pulled pork burrito. Despite nearly dying from the spice levels of a 6/10 it was worth every bite. Please open in Sydney!

Really delicious and good portion sizes. The mushroom burrito with spice level 6 was amazing. The sauces and spices used are awesome and every bite is slightly different. We also tried the cheeseburger burrito which is a must try. It had a good sauce and everything was seasoned well.

The burrito portion was excellent. Excellent foodtruck! There is no doubt that it is the best in Wanaka and the surrounding area. They make great burritos and the staff are friendly. They also had a variety of spice levels to choose from. An amazing spot next to the river with a charming little truck. I loved the vegan options. There are toilets nearby.

Great open-air food court. Top quality burritos, fairly priced, and a good range to choose from,including different spice levels.

Get the Monk fish tacos!! Hands down one of the best tacos I have ever had!! It is made perfectly! My wife and I had it for dinner and we came back the next day to have it for lunch!

It was so delicious, we can’t believe it! One of the best (or the best?!) burrito we ever ate and we travel a lot. We had the pulled pork and the crispy monkfish and shared the tortilla chips (also the best!). Make sure you try them - you will love it! Faire prices ($15 small, 17.50 large, 7.50 tortillas). We came back the next day :D and tried the Tacos (7.50 or three for 20), also a dream! And the area is just so nice, the toilet clean and colourful :) Enjoy!

These are excellent fat burritos! Very probably the best in Wanaka and the wider region. Best in the hemisphere or the world as some reviewers claimed? Let’s not exaggerate. Appreciate the spice scale though we detected a sizable leap between 6 and 7 (out of 10). Is it an exponential scale or something? We had the pork and beef burritos and both were excellent.

Saw this line start to form so I thought I’d join in. The POS system was down so orders couldn’t get fulfilled but the staff was nice about it. Really cool people working there, flawless execution in customer service, they even entertained the idea of calling me Dragon for my order. Food was great, would go back regularly 5/5

I've eaten Burrito Craft for 4 summers now! Big time fan. This year, my friends and have noticed a big increase in the wetness to the burritos. They seem much more soggy than ever before. It's causing me to avoid most of the meats because they're just so wet. Anyways they're still delicious!

Excellent portion of burrito served. Bought the small on the first time round and another large on my second time there. Got the crispy fish and it was really crispy, along with the wrap. Wished there were more outlets around!

I had the pulled pork burrito with 8/10 spiciness. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I took one large bite and was in tears for the next 15 minutes. I had to go to New World to buy a chocolate milk drink and greek yoghurt to pair with this burrito because it was so hot. I spent the next hour eating this burrito cautiously with lashings of yoghurt, whilst watching the interview by The spicy ones and Gordon Ramsay knowing we were experiencing the same amount of pain. I was pacing up and down the room between bites to let the heat subside, with the chocolate milk in hand. It was quite the ordeal and I could only finish 2/3 of the large burrito. 8 out of 10 spiciness (hot AF) is not for the faint hearted. I would rate this burrito 5/5 and would happily recommend this to a friend and/or colleague!

Very good foodtruck! We had the chicken and the beef burrito and the tortilla chips. Everything tasted awesome, especially the sauces were amazing. Can 100% recommend!

Fresh, tasty food served reasonably quick despite the lunchtime rush. Surprisingly, thought the mushroom taco was the best of the three. The portions are generous - 3 tacos and a small burrito shared was more than enough between two adults.

Being a Chicagoan visiting Wanaka I was excited to come across a Mexican food truck and our party ordered four of their vegetarian burritos which looked delicious on paper and based on the menus we were excited to order them. When we got to our hotel, I was very disappointed to see that the potatoes were literally charred to the point where they tasted bitter, the rest of the ingredients tasted overly salted and the "hot" rated spice level was amusing to say the least. Sorry to say will not be going back. Update: the owner cares a lot about his food and business and offered to make me another meal. I haven't been back yet because of a tight schedule but appreciate the gesture greatly.

Yum yum yum. Pulled pork burrito was amazing and the flour tortilla chips were so goood . Defiantly a place to visit !

This place is rad! The best burritos around are made fresh with the most quality ingredients and served up by the most quality people. Whatever you're doing, stop doing it now and come eat a burrito!

Eating vegan with you 3 times during a week in Wanaka was scrumptious thank you! Out of the burrito and the tacos, the burrito was our favourite and we loved the juiciness and yummy flavours! So glad to find more food places not afraid of adding decent amounts of flavours and spice to their food :-D :-D

I had the vegan burrito twice this weekend when staying in Wanaka and had amazing food! The second time the staff were wonderful when my burrito was made with cheese by accident (I have an allergy) and kind enough to remake my food and gave me a refund. Very friendly and awesome food � thanks again!!

We waited for 25 minutes and the food never arrived. Highly disappointing for a food truck with 4 people working in it. Could have done something more interesting with that precious time.

Just can't seem to stay away! Highly recommend the fish taco with its crispy coating and tangy citrus finish.. Delish.. Love the beef burrito too, packed full of flavour. Great value for money and quick speedy service. Just a few things on the menu left to try.. Am really looking forward to trying the vege options too, if i can tear myself from my faves!

WOW! I don't really eat or have eaten Mexican before but if this is Mexican.... Then DAYYYM I'm hooked. It was so filling and just a divine combination of flavours. Definitely a meal on its own and a bloody great one at an unreal price too! Loved the set up and enjoyed kicking back eating with friends by the fire outside. Great view of the Mexican inside the van also ;) I'll be surely making another trip back here before leaving Nz for another taste from the great menu. Well done guys... JUST BRILLIANT! <3
