Food was delicious. Staff were very lovely and offered my 2yo son toys as soon as we walked in, very friendly.

Having a stroll along the Main Street looking for a lunch spot. This cute little spot with a few tables outside and a number of mixed size tables inside. We ordered the Roti Goaty and Fried chicken with slaw. The Roti was full of flavour and fresh roti was just what the overcast winter mood required. The Berry smoothie was thee perfect tarty balance with sweetness. The slaw with the friend chicken was exceptional. A great place to pause for lunch

Great food, loved the coffee! Serving staff were super friendly, Nat in particular was a gem, she was SO happy to make menu choice recommendations that were incredibly solid! We enjoyed the big brekky X 2, some excellent coffee that was good and strong and finished off with some tasty sweeties with our second coffees. Place had great views of the lake and mountains if you were happy to brave the cold, outside, we weren't and chose to sit by the open fire.... Great for young families and all comer atmosphere, full of happy servers and great food. Should be more than a 4.5 Google ranking in my view....

I love Relishes in Wanaka. Some artwork or the funky tape display are some of the things to admire while you enjoy the flavoursome food, the tasty coffee, and the lovely service. Look forward to when I'm back in Wanaka to experience breakfast there again.

Absolutely delicious lunch at Relishes. Between our group had the chorizo and prawn salad, seafood chowder, green goddess salad and Buddha bowl - all fantastic!

Very good breakfast with gluten free friendly options! Service was fast, staff was friendly. I got the eggs Benedict, which was delicious and had perfectly poached eggs.

Delicious food with very friendly staff. The cook let us order the lunch menu even though it was supposed to be the breakfast menu. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long. The table service was great and the food very affordable.

Great food and service! The staff is very kind (shoutout to Sophie our server!) and the food was wonderful. We got the goaty roaty and seafood clam chowder and both were great. The Berry and white chocolate crumble is also a must!!

Arrived on a busy night. Staff were quite nice & knowledgeable! Food was excellent! We had duck, ribeye & cod. All quite good! Have to recommend the garlic bread with cheese to start.

Excellent food and service, in a fantastic location. Would be five stars, but unfortunately they let customers smoke at the outside tables, which spoiled the flavour of our food a little.

Totally amazing food. Goat was Devine, mushroom and feta strudel was to die for. Kid's menu fantastic. As for the desserts. What can we say except- out of this world. Wine list fantastic also.

Popped in to Relishes for a spontaneous meal last night and as usual it surpassed all expectations. Fantastic, attentive staff and service, divine food, and delicious local pinot. We've been dining here for over 20 years and it never fails to delight the senses. Well done team X

Lovely food. Service could have been better. Breakfast and coffee made our day. This place would have got 5 stars if service was a little better. Nonetheless, highly recommended for breakfast

A lovely cosy welcoming restaurant on a cold winters night. Chicken pate entre was lovely as were our steaks. Would visit again if in Wanaka.

Great friendly staff, awesome coffee & best eggs benedict in town

Staff unattentive and very casual, we ordered the pumpkin and feta fritters with bacon on wilted spinach with relish.OMG the fritters were like bricks, thick and doughy I have yet to find any pumpkin and there certainly was absolutely no feta in them. How on earth can you go wrong with fritters? these were about 3cms thick and completely tasteless. The water was warm.

Had dinner tonight and would like to say the meal was up there with the best I have had. The steak I ordered was perfectly cooked and the dessert was amazing! Too good to share Will definitely be back ❤️❤️

We loved Relishes so much we ate there both nights we were in Wanaka. The food was excellent, with several choices for a non-meat eater like me; the service was friendly and knowledgeable and the location is super convenient right on the main street.

Excellent food! And I am picky! ;-) I feel it is healthy (for a burger) and the flavors are wonderful!

This is a gorgeous place on the main street, and perfect to sit outside and people watch. I came here for brunch and ordered the courgette and halloumi fritters. It was delicious. I wish I had stayed in Wanaka a little longer, because I definitely would have tried a few more items off this menu. Will come back again.

Cute and cosy cafe.

I ordered some poached eggs with tomatoes and mushrooms with a latte. Poached eggs were perfect and the bread was delicious. The coffee here is pretty good as well and the service was fast and welcoming. A nice place to come on a rainy day for some quick comfort food.

Great staff, very polite and welcoming 👍🏼 I ordered an ice coffee and it was pretty good. If you don’t want it too bitter I recommend mixing it first then drinking as there is vanilla ice cream inside. Sitting here as everyone is ordering breakfast and I can say that the food looks good!!!! Everyone seems to enjoy it! So I’ll probably come back 🤗

Absolutely delicious dinner. Great menu, amazing food. Lots of flavour. Both mains and desserts we ordered exceeded expectations. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

Our favourite cafe for a cafe and a really cheesy scone.Interesting lunch food. A friendly vibe, sheepskins on the outside chairs. They even gave us a mat for our dog to sit on.

One of a handful of cafes on Ardmore Street, definitely worth trying. A fairly standard menu for a cafe in a standard cafe space.

I had the smoked salmon on potato with a poached egg. The dish was well done and presented well. All topped off with a good coffee as well.

Delightful cafe overlooking the lake! Headed in for brunch around 11.30 and it was almost full. We ordered a bowl of lime buttered edamame beans to share and I had the special of the day veggie pasta with sundried tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini. The pasta was so flavoursome but a tad oily. Really large serving as well. The beans were so delicious! The citrus flavour complimented with the creamy buttery taste so well and again we had such a good bowl we couldn’t finish them. Really great cafe with a good menu including a good range of veggie options. If you’re in town I’d highly recommend a visit!

Although there are plenty of cafes around the lake we were lucky enough to find this one. Reasonably busy we found a table outside with views of the mountains and lake insight – perfect for out of towners! It’s not often we get this back home (Auckland). We ordered the eggs bene with mushrooms (with a side of avo and haloumi) and the Smashed edamame and avocado on grainy toast with pomegranate and haloumi. Both dishes were great. Loved the smashed avo and edamame combo! All the flavours worked well together and perfectly topped off with the pomegranate seeds. My partner enjoyed the eggs bene. The eggs were done perfectly. The service was great! Our food arrived promptly and the staff were really friendly. The café had a nice chilled and relaxed vibe to it. If we lived in Wanaka this would be our local for sure!

The food at Relishes cafe was delicious and generous. The staff were friendly and the restaurant has a good ambience, with some dim lighting.

It was our first trip to Wanaka and we wanted to try the Seafood Chowder and it was delicious, very hearty and full of seafood pieces. The bread was crunchy and came with a generous amount of butter.
It was the perfect start to a very chilly evening.

My partner had the Rib Eye Steak with the Kumara and veggie bake and brocholini with Blue Cheese the steak was cooked medium rare Perfectly. He enjoyed everything on the plate.

I Ordered the Char Siu Aoraki Salmon with Soba noodles, edamame and the smoked salmon wontons. The salmon was cooked perfectly with pinky flesh through the middle. The salmon skin was Cripsy with a subtle sweetness from the char sui marinade. The soba noodles and the Wonton accompanied the salmon nicely.

Overall, it was a great dining experience for both mt Partner and I. We will definitely come back with our families.

This is another cafe on the tourist strip which always seems to be open. In we marched after a hard days hiking for our flat whites. They came out looking pretty good & they were strong & hot so that is all we needed before dinner. The service was attentive too & we loved the fireplace on that cool day

Relishes is a lovely little spot on the popular cafe strip in Wanaka. Decor was nice and cosy, as was the fireplace! Breakfast was very well presented and pretty delish - would have been even better if the ciabatta was a little more toasted ;) Staff are very welcoming and attentive. They accidentally fried rather than poached my eggs so gave me the option to redo it, but I was happy (good communication!) - as long as my yolk is runny I'm a happy camper :)

We always stop by in Relishes Cafe whenever we are in Wanaka. The Seafood chowder and Garlic Mozzarella Bread was superb and not to mentioned the view outside. ❤️ will come back for sure..
Love from Indonesia

Pleasant cafe with friendly staff. My brunch dish was okay, I got the kumara croquettes with smoked salmon, poached egg and rocket. Thought the dish was rather hurriedly put together. Croquettes were good -nice contrast in the dish.

My partner's spicy pumpkin soup with coconut milk was simply divine though- just wished there was more of it.

Had lunch here on a cold winters day. Good was nothing short of amazing. So good in fact we booked straight in for dinner. They have a great selection of smoothies and we both had the roast lamb sandwich. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive.

Warm, delicious and friendly. Checked out this place based on TripAdvisor reviews. It exceeded expectations. Menu was small but a great selection. Food was fresh and well presented. The beetroot cured Aoraki salmon was incredible - their Feijoa and Wasabi sorbet to accompany was out of this world. Wine list was nothing to write home about but we found something we liked. Local beers a plus. Cheerful service and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

Cute and Cosy. Love this cafe. Awesome, welcoming service and very child friendly with colouring activities provided. A flavoursome unique menu had our taste buds activated? A lovely experience which my family and I have 'relished'. We are already repeat customers.

Views of the mountains, gorgeous. Beautiful coffee, to accompany a perfect healthy and delicious Veggie Breakfast. Asked for low fat, and got exactly that. Thanks!

After indulgent holiday feasting, A great relief for brain and body to get an excellent hit of wilted spinach, portobello mushrooms, tomato beans, poached eggs, and two little lite potato cakes with a slice of ciabatta. Very enjoyable. Efficient service. Comfy outdoor seats in the sunshine. Definitely recommend.

Best coffee in Wanaka - consistently! The food is good too, we have tried quite a few others and always return to Relishes for the coffee.

For some reason I have to write 200 words for a review so I will just ramble here a bit because, I wrote this so you know where to get the best coffee in Wanaka and this is it - full stop :-)

My husband and I were returning home after a 5day holiday with the grandchildren and wanted a lovely adult lunch. He had Thai fish cakes....wow wow wow... They were delicious. I had the seafood chowder......pure heaven. Real seafood and by far the Best chowder I have ever had. We will be back. Thank you so much.

We had breakfast here on the Sunday morning of show weekend. We were lucky enough to get a table, many missed out. :) Even though it was extremely busy we had fantastic service and received water and coffees quickly. All the breakfast items sounded fantastic I had the vege breakfast which was just amazing. Who ever they had cooking really knew what they were doing every element to the dish was delicious from the flavoursome polenta to the spicy tomato beans. I LOVED IT. My three companions all had the full breakfast which looked equally as good. Thanks so much Relishes it was the perfect end to a perfect weekend. We hope to try your dinner menu next time.

Two of us had a meal at this restaurant recently while on holiday in Wanaka. The last few occasions we had dined there we were less than satisfied so we were far from certain that we wanted to dine here again.

Well, I am very glad that we did.

All the food was superb, the service was friendly and appropriate to the occasion and the bill was more than competitive.

I can highly recommend the risotto which was clearly crafted by an expert and loaded with the "good stuff" highlighted on the menu.

Well done Relishes! We will return - this time with considerably more confidence.

We visited for brekkie on Easter Sunday. It was very busy and the service was a bit slow but all the dishes were very nice. I ordered scrambled eggs which came with potato croquettes and garlic cibiatta bread. Generous portions, eggs cooked nicely and croquettes absolutely delicious. Nice hot choc . My companion had the mushroom dish and was very pleased with it. Highly recommended cafe.

We were originally only stopping for a beer (they sell emersons - great local pilsner from dunedin) but the dinner menu looked so good we ended up staying for food... great decision!

The tiger prawn starter was fantastic, and the venison I had for my main was the best i've eaten in NZ! We could see the restaurant was pretty busy but still we received really good service, friendly, helpful and speedy...

I even went back for brekkie the next morning.. which was equally as good!

Great place... highly recommended...
