The stir fried udon with the oyster sauce here is really amazing! It does come with the wok hei flavor and the sauce is really umami!
The sushi here are great as well. The staff here are friendly and they would also recommend their favorite dish that suits your liking and taste.
One of the best Asian dish in town and I will definitely come back again for this.

Always come here when I'm in Wanaka. Best Japanese in town! Most businesses here at the moment are struggling a lot with staff shortages so please if you go, be kind! They are trying their best. Service always very friendly and prompt.

Cute little Japanese cafe. We had the tofu and (chicken) katsu curry rice. Decently priced food, felt that there could have been more tofu and curry given. Staff were very friendly too.

Good sushi. Great coffee. Friendly staff. The perfect spot for a quick, light meal in Wanaka that is not overpriced. I only wish there were fewer chicken options and more vegetable and seafood options. Who knew chicken sushi was a thing?

We really enjoyed our sushi. The tempura prawns were to die for and the sushi was fresh and delicious. My husband does not usually eat sushi but he loved this and said it was really fresh.

Always super friendly staff, always super tasty food. If there is something you want that they have run out of, they’ll make it on request within minutes. The tofu curry is sure to smack a smile on your dial and the smoothies are the best in Wanaka, no debate. Cosy dine in area with a toy box for wee ones, and takeaway available as well. They are always happy to pop their food in your own container if you are looking to minimise your waste too! Couldn’t recommend them more.

Went there for the first time and was blown away by the nice workers and the great service they gave and not to forget the amazing food that i had eaten. I had the Tuna and the Chicken Teriyaki sushi. Some of the best sushi i’ve ever had. Thank you Yohei and thank you Lee!

Very nice sushi. Also do curries, which are my favourite here. Huge range in sushi options, cold drinks and a miss toy box to keep little ones occupied.

Always fresh. Always exceptionally tasty. Very friendly crew that work the shop front and kitchen. The turn over of product through Yohei is massive. A favourite for sure with locals! Yohei is very very very yum!
