Review Flaxbourne Services - Ward

The flax bore Cafe of Ward impressed us . Lovely staff and good service. We stopped to use their toilets and grab a coffee on our journey to Nelson. A wide selection of food ,ice cream and cooked goods . They also sell alcohol beverages. The toilets are really clean and nice . It is very popular with the locals with some already knowing what to order without looking at the menu . There must be some favorite items on the menu. Thanks allot Flaxbourne Cafe Cheers

Excellent fast service and yummy pies! Pork Belly Pie was delicious and homemade too! Clean toilets and lovely sunny cafe eating area. Can recommend!

New owners and new menu! They serve breakfast! Nice clean facility, good food and clean restrooms.

We were in need of coffee and breakfast so was pleased to find this cafe. As well as coffee we both had an omelette and they were very yummy. Their customer service was excellent and we highly recommend this cafe. We will definitely be stopping here again when we pass through next time.

On the hunt for somewhere new to stop after a previous bad experience at another place in the area I read the reviews for here and decide to try it. Absolutely well deserved 5 stars. Coffee was perfect and the fish n' chips were delicious. I think the photos speak for themselves. Decent fat pieces of Blue Cod and Rig. Chips perfectly cooked. They even gave us some chopped up lemon! Staff very friendly, they treat you like the know you. We will be back and next time might sit down if we have time.

Friendly, polite and prompt service. Coffee very enjoyable and extra hot as requested. Nice sheltered outdoor area dog friendly. A tidy up of adjoining picnic area would enhance the view.

My favourite pit stop from Christchurch to Marlborough. I really enjoy the pies and hot chips, really good outdoor seating and super friendly staff. Toilets are always nice and clean.

Great sausage rolls & coffee. Friendly service. Scones straight from the oven, took two to go. Clean toilets. Well worth the stop!

The best meat pie I ever had, they are made in house and are delicious! The glazed pork belly meat pie especially.

Great food and wonderful service. Especially enjoyed the conversational riposte with the lovely server (Liz?) who was great at helping a tired as driver figure out his order and very welcoming and cheerful start to my morning. I'm greatly looking forward to your electric car fast charger being installed and using it in the future and enjoying your great food, coffee and wifi again. Thank you.

If your on a road trip south, or northward, this is a great place to stop. There are toilets to use and cabinets of great looking food or a nice menu to choose from. I went for the cabinets. The food was fresh, tasty.. Delightful and everything you would expect from a restaurant, and I went off peak towards the end of the week, fantastic!! I highly recommend this cafe, I travel all over NZ for my job. Definitely make this a go to stop or travel break!

After getting a bus tyre blowout the staff very kindly let us park overnight while we waited for repairs. We enjoyed the yummy food & coffee while we waited. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly and we highly recommend a stop here.

It was nice the staff were very friendly the food was good and quick the way I like it and the big plus was coffee was hot and came out with my food. Brought some fudge, that I take it was made there real good. The cafe was clean so was the toilets best place to stop

So great to have free wifi that doesn’t require you to enter a password. Upload speed abysmal but down better than most of NZ. Toasted sandwich was pretty darned good

We were made to feel very welcome. There was a big group of us who arrived unannounced but this wasnt an issue.There was a great selection of lovely food . The service was great...thank you so much.
