Review Ginger Cafe - Warkworth

Hade breakfast here and it was very good. I did the eggs Benedict and they make there own holandés that was very tasty! Coffee was good as well.

Firstly impressed with the coffee decoration, very clever, secondly the breakfast was one of the tastiest and nicely presented we've had. Bacon and eggs to perfection as were the blueberry pancakes. Double yum. Will definitely be back when we are in the area. Thanks for a very pleasant start to the day!

Dropped in for lunch after a little Op Shopping. Very nice Eggs Bene with mushrooms on lightly toasted ciabatta. Delicious mocha & the best carrot muffin I've tasted. Never disappoints this little gem cafe.

Excellent coffee and afghan biscuit for morning tea this morning. My wife raved about her mocha especially and enjoyed the ginger crunch. Nice and open atmosphere and friendly service.

Pretty cute cafe. The kind of place you come for a nice hot breakfast with great plate appeal or to zone in on some laptop tasks. The coffee is nice too.

It was nice and pleasant surroundings. Food was lovely and service very good. We arrived an hour before closing so wasn't busy.

Stopped and grabbed a lunch here when we were heading north. Ordered today's special, lamb burger, which came with the specially dry lamb patties. Not recommended. Sausages were just average. Fresh vege and generous portion of chips. Busy staffs.<br/>

Tasty food and excellent service. We came in at 1.10pm on Saturday which the store close at 2pm. But all food we ordered are nicely cooked, especially the omelette and curly fries.

Ginger cafe has really gone down hill in the last couple years. The coffee was horrible, the food was very bland and there was even a hair in one of our meals. The prices are central Auckland prices ($18-22 for breakfast) and there is no way they are worth it.

Couldn't expect more from a small coffee shop in warkworth.<br/><br/>There you'll find several options of good food, from salty oprions to desserts. I had myself some delicious French fries and a carrot cake. Both were great, the potatoes with an impressive sauce and the cake not too sweet.<br/><br/>The coffee is pretty good too. If I'm back to Warkworth I am surely going back to this place.

Out of the few cafes I have tried in Warkworth, this is definitely the front runner. Reasonable amount of ambience, friendly service and a good selection of cabinet and menu food, enough to satisfy even the most weary unqualified amateur diner travelling through this transit town on the way north, south or east... The smoked chicken filo stood out as particularly tasty. Possibly has a slightly tired feel to it, but always our go to for a quality coffee when we pass by :-)

We also visited in 2012 our last trip up north and both times were great awesome choices great cabinet food also the coffee toi was fabulous I had the bacon egg omelet and buddies had big breakfast all very good.

Had breakfast and a coffee here. Coffee was the best and the brekkie was yum also. Good cafe well worth a visit.

Excellent coffee and very friendly staff. My favorite cafe in WW by about 500 percent. Organic milk, coconut sugar and quick service plus good quality home baking. Someone with taste runs this place who knows repeat customers make or break a business. Need to keep the tables cleared a bit quicker but that's about the only complaint.

We had breakfast here today on our way home from Whangarei - what a fantastic cafe! The big breakfast and coffee were delicious, so much so that I had to have a second coffee, and the service was faultless. Our order arrived in good time too.<br/><br/>The maitre'd was very friendly and efficient with both locals and out-of-town visitors alike and certainly made the breakfast a very pleasant experience.<br/><br/>I highly recommend this cafe.

Had pancakes and tea. The Earl Grey tea was excellent. The pancakes with blueberry compote and yogurt, looked fantastic. But I'm thinking the pancakes were warmed in the microwave from frozen! The pancakes were warmish in parts and really cold in other bits. They were crusty, dry and awful. I won't go back. How hard is it to make fresh pancakes!

Had lunch here on Friday. the atmosphere is good, the service leaves nothing to be desired, and the food is just fantastic. I had a beef caserole with rice which was absolutely devine. My colleague had a musroom filo dish that was also fabulous. Topped off with a very nice coffee, and all at reasonable prices.<br/>Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed my breakfast here, had the big breaky and it was all very nice, little extras were good such as herbed potatos and that kind of thing, the staff were friendly and it was a nice atmosphere, took a friend who was from out of town and really enjoyed it, didn't try the coffee as don't drink it, but they had a good selection of herbal teas and juices. I'd go back!

The cave man breakfast was the best big breakfast I have ever had it has steak, eggs,toast,bacon,mushrooms,potato,tomatoand sausages.Cooked to perfection!Coffee was hot and exellent.New owners are friendly and love to see you happy.

We loved Ginger's bakery goods, especially the rye breads and brioches. Recent experience suggests there's a new baker there. No breads were available, and the brioches were very disappointing, especially the discovery of a large dollop of lemon honey beneath the surface.

My friends and I go there quite often and get a fluffy or hot chocolate. They're at quite reasonable prices and they are worth it!!<br/>GREAT for little kids and really nicely set up!

I was in the cafe a week ago for the first time in three months. I purchased a mahu big breakfast and it was superb!!! The potato's were crispy and hot and the eggs were cooked to perfection!!!<br/>I'm am now hooked on the big breakfasts!<br/>They must have a new cook, as they were never this great before!!! Good work!!!<br/>I will be complimenting the cook next I'm in!!!

Great coffee, great pies, pleasant staff.<br/>Filo pastry wrap totally spoiled by being heated in a microwave oven!
