Impeccable service and food. Rangeet our server was so incredibly polite and efficient, he treated us like royalty. Everything from the food to the music and ambiance was superb. A highly professional service was together with the generous portions and atmosphere were spectacular. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything was delicious! Goat curry was falling off the bone, butter chicken was on point and medium spice was to our liking. Never had such cheesy nan before and it was everything you’ve never had!! Grab a mango lassi as well you won’t regurt it 😋 the service was super friendly and has the best manners. Ngā mihi, we’ll be back.

Delicious butter chicken and Tikka Masala. I am a regular butter chicken critic and this was the best butter chicken we have ever had! They have specials on the board out front so $27 for the curry, rice and cheese and garlic naaan. The Naan could've had more cheese but the curries were excellent.

Great dinner here tonight. Really good service, great portion sizes. We were served by Ranjeet, very polite and welcoming. Would recommend coming here for a friendly and nice dining experience.

I recently dined at Virsa, and I must say, the food was exceptional. We savored the Shahi Paneer and Paneer Tikka, both of which were bursting with flavors and perfectly cooked. The restaurant's ambiance was impressive – it was spotlessly clean and tastefully presented, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Overall, Virsa is a fantastic dining destination that not only offers delicious cuisine but also ensures a memorable experience through its cleanliness and top-notch customer service. Highly recommended!

Delicious meals to sit all palates and a great selection of alcohol. There are SO MANY dairy and gluten free options!!! Fantastic! We had the delightful Karan looking after us this evening. His friendly and super efficient service was top notch. If you like Indian food this is a must visit restaurant, if you don't, go anyway, you may change your mind!

To be honest I thought these guys would be average, only went there because the butter chicken box was closed. Pleasant and polite staff. Took our 3 curries and breads home and we were blown away. We have eaten our share of curries, and while they were a bit pricier than the other places, the food was top notch. Your now my goto team. No disrespect to BCB, but these guys had the butter chicken taste down pat. My wife said so, how can i disagree.

We came on a quiet night and nearly had the place to ourselves which is a real shame as the food and service was fabulous. Thanks for a lovely meal Ranjeet and team.

Ranjeet was great, we ordered the take away special for a Tuesday evening, super polite and helpful. Liked the music.

I got takeaway. Samosa and naan were good, but the chicken jalfrezi was not. I've had better experiences previously at this place

Unfortunately the young wait staff were not very experienced, waited awkwardly and did not acknowledge you or speak to you....had to approach yourself. Not much atmosphere dead quiet at 6pm on a Saturday night, food was okay but have had better. Rice tasted strange, naan a crispy bread with far too much garlic, and tiny portion sizes relative to what you spend and get elsewhere. Was not given cutlery/glasses and had to pick my own off other tables, floor by my table covered in crumbs from previous customers. Unfortunate, curry was okay, perhaps just young staff need upskilling

I have resisted getting the zomato app on my phone for as long as possible but feel compelled to add it so I can comment on our experience at Virsa in Warkworth. We live locally so use their takeaway option on a regular basis, but tonight was the third (and last time) we have dined in. It took over 25 minutes from the time we sat down for us to be given menus of any type. Then, it took over an hour for our entrees to arrive. Half an hour later 3 out of our 4 mains arrived but we waited another 20 minutes before going to ask when the rice for our meals would arrive and enquire as to the whereabouts of the 4th main. Once we asked about the 4th main we actually heard someone start cooking it out the back. It arrived about 15 minutes later, by which time the other mains were fairly luke warm. When we went to pay we made a comment about it taking a very long time for the entrees to arrive and were told 'we had more people than usual for a Monday night so were very busy'. There were 10 people dining in over the time we were there including the 4 of us. We should have known when we were told at the beginning of the evening that the banquet menus were not available as they were 'too busy'. Interestingly, we ended up ordering very similar items to those on the banquet menu and that was apparently 'doable'.
There was no offer of any compensation for the long wait and/or forgetting one of our mains - not even some complimentary poppadoms!
The food is fantastic at Virsa but unfortunately this is the third time we've dined in and had the same appalling service. We won't be back to dine in again.

This is the third time we have been to eat in, we usually have a takeaway, we live locally and it is great to have an Indian restaurant nearby. The food is great, however we had to wait far too long again. Our order wasn't taken very quickly and when it was, we had to wait an hour for it to arrive. The waiting time between entree and main also took about 30 mins and when the main did arrive we only received the curry dishes without any rice. One of our curries was missing. We asked for them and we still waited 25 mins for it to arrive. We did say that we had to wait too long but were told that they weren't prepared for it to be so busy, however there were only 4 people in the restaurant when we arrived and none by the time our mains were served so I don't understand why it took so long. Despite the fact that we spent $169.00, we weren't offered anything as compensation when we complained. It is lovely food but I fail to see why, when they can prepare a large takeaway order in 20 mins, it takes so long to get an order out to the table. We are very unlikely to try again which is a shame as the food is awesome.

I can’t say much about the food but the service was unprofessional and bad. We walked in and weren’t greeted by the lady at the bar. She saw there was two of us and just pointed at a table for us to sit at. We sat there for close to 10 minutes and in that time she didn’t bring us menus, ask if we wanted drinks, nothing. The phone rang and she picked it up and decided to have a chuckle on the phone over serving us. After waiting for so long, we got up and left and she didn’t even notice that. Terrible customer service skills.

Lovely curries and my friend was vegan and she was able to customise her curry which is always appreciated! Very filling but you’re able to take the leftovers home.

I went with a friend today for lunch at Virsa just after midday on 11 June.

Initial impressions were a very quiet but clean and presentable restaurant.

The waitress told us that one of our orders, the Tandoori chicken salad, did not have any lettuce but that she could just bring us the chicken pieces. That was fine by us. However she ended up bringing out a Tandoori chicken salad with lots of cabbage anyway. Not that we minded, it was very tasty.

We also ordered a butter chicken, a beef korma, and a lamb Rogan Josh. The meal came with naan bread and rice as well, plus a poppadum each to begin with.

The overall conclusion was that the meal was excellent. It was tasty, represented excellent value for money coming in a whisker over $50, the service was friendly and quick, (aside from that little hiccup before), and the curries were cooked to the correct spicyness specification as requested, mostly medium curries with one mild curry.

I will be sure to make Virsa our go-to Indian restaurant the next time we are in Warkworth and vicinity.

Honestly saying I wasn’t expecting anything from this place when we entered with a couple of friends, but we were quite surprised by super tasty food and very friendly service. Must visit if you are around the area.

Indian food is my absolute favourite, but that also means I’m the most critical of it, but Virsa blew my expectations out of the water! The food is beyond delicious, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and we’ve never been disappointed. Their chicken tikka masala and goat curry is not one to miss, but the cheese and spinach naan is definitely what to look out for! We are regulars and will continue to be for a long time coming!

Virsa was really great when they first opened, sure a few teething issues with young, inexperienced servers etc, but, overall really nice food and fair value. However, of late, (and we've both eaten in and taken out a handful of times over the past few months), things, especially the food, have dropped considerably. Orders often incorrect, big wait times and the meals are not up to scratch in terms of flavour, authenticity or value. Sadly our patience has worn out and we'll probably be giving Virsa a miss from now on.

The food was the tastiest Indian we have had in awhile. The mango chicken and virsa special curry was delicious.
The service was friendly and welcoming. Well done.
