Ordered fresh dory burger, oysters, mussels and chips Burger was delicious.. fish was tender and moist and filled the burger. Oysters were fat.. everything well drained and not oily.. oysters and mussels were seperated from chips.. served with a wedge of lemon.. equal ratio of soft, crunchy, big and little chips keeping everyone happy

Legendary fried fish, a must visit in NZ. We drove from Auckland CBD just to eat here, recommend everyone gets one snapper + tartar sauce unless you're exceptionally hungry and 4 people can easily share one chips. Fantastic!

We had fish and chips here today for lunch. The snapper was devine, it would stack up against any fancy high class restaurant for taste and quality. It was succulent and cooked to perfection. The batter was crispy, well drained and no oil remained on the paper, the chips were the same, perfect. ******* Has to be the best fish & chip takeaway around. Snapper excellently cooked, crispy fat free batter. Chips, the same, fat/oil free and crispy. Have to visit this place.

Unexpected dine in takeaways. Food isn't amazing, but can't complain about the value for money. Cheaper and tastier than McDonalds. "Gourmet Burger" closed early, so here we are, and here we will return! 👍

I came to this fish and chip shop around 15yrs ago on a work trip. I've always remembered it as the best fish and chips I've ever had. I went back today and it hasn't changed. I still rate it the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was fresh and crunchy and the chips soft on the inside crunchy on the outside. Super tasty. Next time I'm back in New Zealand, I'll be back here for sure!

This is the best fish and chip shop EVER. It’s run by a wonderful family who have been serving up the freshest fish and crispy chips for years. We stop here every time we drive through Warkworth. We’ve even given up eating fish and chips anywhere else because nothing else compares. My family always gets crumbed fish but I ADORE the masala spicy batter. It’s got a decent kick and loaded with flavour. I can’t recommend it enough!

Got recommended by the owner of the Warkworth Lodge (also 5 stars). If, like us, you're from the UK, then you are going to be in for a treat. No under or over cooked batter on the fish, and chips cooked properly. Not the mush that's served up back home.

These were the best fish & chips we have had in a long time. The fish was great, really nice batter, good chips and the kumera chips were lovely & crisp not soggy like you usually get. I would recommend the home made samosa's, delicious. We would definitely go back

Must try vegetarian burger! Usually vege burgers from fish & chip shops are bad to average, but this one was AMAZING, patty was full of flavour, lots of sauce and salad, and also had pineapple and a potato fritter in it. It was so big I couldn't finish it. So worth it for the price! Will absolutely be back when in the area. Wedges were nice and crispy, too, and garlic fries were delicious.

New Years Eve fish and chips alongside the river was a good decision. The fish and chips were delicious and the team so friendly especially seeing it was this time of the year. We had the crumbed fish which and we're so pleased to see lemon pieces included when we opened the wrapping as we prefer this on our fish and forgot to ask. Delicious.

Great place for a good meal! I've been coming here for years and the food is great and the lovliest people that look after you. My daughter is cealiac and they do a great gluten free fish and chips with tsaty batter, and they are very careful avoiding contamination. Can't reccomend it enough.

Yummmmy. I had the fish burger, two oysters and a mussel. I'm not a fan of deep fried food but this was great. Not oily and disgusting. It was fresh, delicious and a good size too. The burger had fresh fish and again, not oily. Probably would like a bit more tomatoe and a home made sauce but all in all, a great burger.

This was always the Friday night takeaway stop when I was a kid. Good to see that it's still as good as I remember. On a sunny day, take your meal down to the river.

Food was fresh and tasty! Had a really good vegetarian burger and the garlic chips are to die for, good seating inside and fast service! Staff are lovely and helpful we will be back very soon even the little touches of fairy lights make the decor of a simple fish and chip shop look very smart also they have a lot of fake greenery inside that looks very elegant for a classic take aways very impressive

Came here just after Christmas with my best mate and family. Was on a family trip at Kaurawhero.

The fish was fresh and tasted amazing, red cod was extremely soft and melted in my mouth. The snapper was more firm yet tender.

Great place for fish and chips. Not a lot of options, everything else didn't look appetizing but what I ordered I was satisfied with.

Sometimes when you walk into a restaurant u know what u should order and what u shouldn't.

Environment: 3/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Price: $10pp

Will be back!

Everytime we visit warkworth we generally end up in this shop ordering fish n chips and of course the samosas! Consistent quality and great friendly customer service always. Great choice of food on the menu and very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back there again.

Owner was friendly and clearly passionate about serving fresh fish.
The snapper was delicious, with crispy batter. Good chips too. Agria spuds and a good selection of sauces. Decor could do with an upgrade
worst service, very rude when taking orders. Also took them a while to serve, and their corn fritter wasn't even cooked! Don't waste your money

Best fish and chips ever. And the burgers rival any anywhere. Don't drive past Warkworth without trying the fish and chips. They are worth the drive from Auckland.
