Review Fish Nets - Warkworth

Read the reviews recently and had to try for myself. Shop is tiny at best and has seated dining inside for 4 and for 2 outside. Parking outside right at the door. Menus are fairly standard and what you would expect except there are several chip options. All normal types of fish are offered and various combo deals ( see photos). They have a good selection of burgers but no std hamburger. Burgers start at $10:00. One drinks fridge, Coke cans normal 330ml are $2:30. Owners are very nice approachable Indians, and the shop is spotlessly clean. No toasted sandwiches on offer. The fish is definitely fresh and cooked perfectly. Batter is a dry coating, not dripping in vat oil. Try the spicy chips if you like a sweat session , they are good. Hot Dog was really good in a smooth batter finish. Wait time normal, pricing acceptable, milk shakes not on offer. Food presentation is faultless in a cardboard tray, Dbl wrapped in paper, serviette included and hand written description on the outside. This tiny business deserves a 10/10 for all the right reasons, shame they are situated so far from Warkworth central. Will I go back....Hell YES.

Lovely fish and chips. So fresh and the beer batter actually tastes like beer as advertised. Very generous portions too. Staff are also friendly and you don't wait to long for you food. They will even bring it to your car if you ask them politely.

Amazing taste in fish. Way better than any fish an Aucklander would have fished up. Chips great too. Pleasantly surprised for 10$ They even include complimentary tomato sauce and lemons!

Was super surprised to find that the $12 vegie burger came with fries and sauce. Nice burger (though if you don't appreciate Indian spices then you may not agree). Friendly service.

Absolutely beauuuuutiful chips😍 Owned by a very friendly family Atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, also very open and honest feeling. The food is cheap for what you get which is a very filling meal. Thank you fish nets😁😁

Great food, excellent customer service. The seafood fried rice was the yummiest I have ever tasted!! 😋 the lamb burger that came with yummy chips was super!! Will definitely recommend!

From Auckland,we were looking for the best fishnchips place and were told to go fish nets and I must say it was the best I've had in my life! And the egg burger was the bomb! Everything was so spot on we are going there from Auckland just to have it again😊Thank you to staff money's worth😊

Delicious food - fish lightly battered, chips light and crispy, both served with lemon wedges and tomato sauce. Burgers are amazing - such thick patties! They had a family pack which was great value.

My God!! The best fish and chips in town. Blown away not just with the food but the presentation altogether. Must must must have to try. I ordered $22 family pack it's so good.

The best fish and chips shop we have visited in New Zealand. If you want less oil and taste of fresh fish, this is the place to be. During summer we go to the Tawharanui beach every weekend. Fish nests is our usual spot for lunch & dinner. Try the burgers they are tastier than any other. If you want bit spice try the spicy chips. I have recommend this place to my friends and would recommend it you as well.

Stopped here for lunch today. Got fish and chips and it was sooo good. Even got a small container of ketchup and two slices of lemon for the fish. Thoroughly recommend.

One of the freshest fish shops around - beautiful snapper fillets with crunchy batter. Chips were of very good quality and had the right amount of salt and crunch. Ordered the snapper burger and chips for $9.50 and the quality is comparable to restaurants and cafes charging twice as much for similar product. Would recommend to anyone craving a fresh, wholesome takeaway :)

Amazing food at a great value price. We ordered 2 burgers which came with fries total $20. I had the fish burger, one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. It was delicious, the fish and vegetables were fresh not dreched in oil or mayo. My partner had the hawaiin burger and he too was impressed, the beef was tender and meaty and buns toasted to perfection. The service was second to none, the staff were friendly, welcoming and so polite. We have had a series of average food and services recently so this was a welcome change. Thank you so much fish nets we will be back soon😊

Got here on the way back to Auckland from Whangarei at 9.30pm. This was the best fish and chips we had through our weekend. Reasonable prices, non greasy, crisp and tasty fries and fresh fish. Definitely a pit stop in this area.

Stopped in for lunch today, super tasty! Came with plenty of chips, which were very crisp, and the fish was fresh, tasty, and most importantly, oil free. Will definitely be going back!

Worst fish n chips I have ever had! Fish tasted plain and not fresh, butter was wet and soggy. How could they still open till now? Good luck

Popped in for a quick snack for the drive home this afternoon and was really happy with what I had! I ordered a piece of terakihi, most of the time when ordering fish I get bread crumbed because I find batter too greasy but today I forgot. But let me tell you this piece of fish wasn’t greasy in the slightest! It’s so refreshing to be able to order a piece of fish that isn’t dripping in oil. It came with a decent sized piece and a lemon wedge. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!
