Review The Coffee Club - Warkworth

Jill White
Came here for breakfast as there was no where else open on a Sunday morning at 8am in Warkworth. So glad we did though!! The staff were so welcoming, the food was really nice, the coffee was great, it was nice and clean inside and there was no one else there! I actually can't believe I have never been there before! Unfortunately because of the motorway I guess not many people pass this way anymore, which is a shame. But I tell you now, this is a super place to go for good food and good coffee 😃

The food and coffee were amazing all the time I visit, and the staff are very accommodating. I love the flat grill-chicken cramembert. Coffee Club has become one of my fave brekky nook❤️. The lady at the counter is really nice and friendly. I usually visit in the morning. The place is very neat. I have been to their Orewa Branch as well. So far services rendered to me were really great and the food was amazing.

Today I went here with a friend and we had a great time. Although we came at what I assume was the rush hour, Jodie who was on the floor and behind the counter had a great attitude and a big smile through it all. Food was also amazing.

I had a great experience at the coffee club Warkworth, the staff was friendly the moment we walked in with a little pram/stroller. They provided a seat with extra space for the pram. The food was excellent, we ordered Big Breakfast, Egg Benedict Meal and Club Sandwich. Everything was so nice and fresh. I am very much particular about my coffee, and I was very much impressed with the staff when they took my order. Overall, lovely experience will definitely be coming back.

Perfect place for a cuppa and breakfast. Food is great, waiting time and price is reasonable. However, staff can be more friendly, a smile goes a long way! Cleanliness wise, a good vacuum on the carpet will be great too..😅😊

Best scrambled eggs. Coffee also amazing. Stop for breakfast and you'll know why? Will be back again no doubt

We visited the cafe yesterday and, due to Easter Break, it was quite busy. However, the staff were friendly and our waitress always had a big smile on her face. Despite there being about ten people in our group, we were served quickly. The food, particularly the fried chicken and the beef burgers, were exceptional and the coffee was great. Although it was wet and a bit cold, we enjoyed the gully view and would love to sit outside on a sunny day to take in the scenery and fresh air. Overall, we loved everything about the cafe, from the relaxing environment to the excellent service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting

We would like to say what an amazing person you had front of shop around 8am this morning at Warkworth. Fantastic sense of humour which was exactly what we needed after our 5+ hour travel as well as a very emotional few days prior to our travel. Our breakfast was good but the service was beyond excellence. We didn’t get your name but thank you so very much for easing a difficult trip x PS sorry for leaving thru the emergency door🤣

We spent $56 on two halloumi burgers. The buns were dry and obviously from frozen, the burgers were cold and tasteless and the fries weren’t even seasoned as they usually are. We ordered two caramel banana frappes and I don’t think they even put banana in it as you couldn’t taste it. Never again!

It was a lovely quick place to have brunch especially it wasn’t very busy when we came. My friend had the big breakfast that included a various of food such as sausages, hash browns, poach egg, mushrooms, etc and I had the salmon & avocado stack with a poach egg and hash brown as well, thinking I was at least going to receive 2 toast but it only came with one, but it was alright since my friend shared some of her food since it was big. I also ordered the mango smoothie which was really nice and refreshing. At the end, we also had one slice of the New York Baked Cheesecake with mango and the mango complimented the cheesecake well. The staff were really friendly and the place was tidy and clean.

After a particularly good experience at The Coffee Club Takapuna last week with their new vegan menu, we decided to pop by the Warkworth branch on our way back from a trip. Upon arriving at the front counter, not a single staff member greeted or even looked at us. We stood there waiting for over 5 minutes before someone came to take our order.

We discussed the vegan options with a staff member after realising that the Warkworth branch does not have the separate vegan menu that The Coffee Club has been advertising. We ordered the rosti stack and hummus and pea sourdough plus a coffee. This flat white was, without doubt, the worst I have ever had - watery, cold and flavourless. Pretty bad form for a place with coffee in its name.

The hummus and pea sourdough was OK, although this too was cold. The "rosti stack" on the other hand, consisted of a single miniature hash brown topped with a bit of icy mashed avocado mixed with peas and a few token spinach leaves. It was TINY, and they charged us $18 for it. We would have said something if it was possible to so much as get hold of a staff member, but they were entirely disinterested in engaging with customers.

Hands down the worst food and worst service I've ever experienced.

Went for lunch. Was nice and clean and helpful staff. But wasn't impressed with the meals. My son had the pancakes and one was rock hard... couldn't even cut through it. He asked why.. I had no explanation! How does a pancake get that hard??? But they did rectify it, with a replacement meal. I had the zucchini/ corn/ pea fritters. It tasted more like an omelet. I think there was one pea in both of them... just missed the mark on the food a little bit.
