Review Tequila Joe's - Wellington

Our favourite place to eat, and we often travel from the Wairarapa just for Tequila Joes!!! Highly recommend the buffalo wings, with the classic buffalo sauce, plus Chipotle beef for main. Awesome selection of drinks, great music, love the staff.

Loved my experience at Tequila Joes - I even went back twice in one week! Both instances I was there for All you can eat Tacos, and it didn't disappoint. Each night on average I ate about 11 tacos, which a lot more than I expected. The quality of each taco was delicious, and I was able to say which of the tacos I enjoyed more than others. The staff were outstanding and the vibe they created was great. They were engaging with all their customers and showing them a great time. I can't wait to head there again, and will be recommending it as a fun place to go any night of the week. Might even have to book my birthday celebration there soon!!

Had an "interesting" Margherita; see pic; it was very good! We had the all-you-can-eat Tuesdays Tacos. Delivery was timely. I managed to eat six different tacos which were above average but not superior. I am seasoned, so the high volume beat music was not to MY liking, but may be okay for most others. All seating was on stools. RECOMMENDED.

What a cool wee spot! I came in with some friends for all your can eat tacos and it was definitely worth it. All of the tacos were delicious and served so incredibly fresh plus they came with fries which were also delicious and super fresh! The vibes were really good but the music was a little bit too loud to have a proper conversation at times. The only negative of the night was that it took about 30 minutes for them to come and take our order which was a bit of a let down and there was no refill on the fries in the hour that we sat and ate but apart from those two small things, this is definitely worth checking out :)

nimble feet hurried along to grab this and that. it was all a good bit of fun. a sumptuous jolly overtook the spirits. We felt, simply YES! burgeoning from the wee kitchnette attached to the brims of this quaint little harem of tacos was the most delicious food I've ever absorbed. The employees all had extremely attractive features (in the face) - they were so good at their job and did NOTHING WRONG

Aye it's pretty good. Hectic and noisy party atmosphere inside that'll see you shouting for most of the night. Food is decent but not world beating. Service is good but not exceptional. Probably won't be back, and definitely wouldn't go for a date night.

Drinks are amazing and if you come on Tuesday or Thursday for their all you can eat tacos, you will be blown away with the number of tacos they bring out and how tasty they are. Staff are also so friendly and welcoming!!
Chantal McNaught
It really is the best Mexican! They were very busy, yet I was served and seated straight away. I was given enough time to decide my meal and the drink came very fast. I had the fish tacos and they were the best I’ve had in the north island! Definitely worth checking out if you have cravings for Mexican and want to dine in a place that has great service and good vibes, not just excellent food.

Went on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. Had all you can eat tacos and BYO. Staff were awesome. Tacos were yummy and well seasoned enjoyed our night here. Shout out for the awesome dance moves. Guy in cool green hat a star.

We booked a table for my birthday BYO and the team at a tequila Joes gave me the best birthday evening! They had liased with my partner about what kind of music to play that I would like, brought out about 5 birthday shots, and basically just really went above and beyond to make my birthday special. I cannot recommend them highly enough for a birthday BYO!

Great buzzy vibe. Was a queue out the door tonight. We squeezed into the last two seats available and went for the all you can eat chicken wings and free Baja fries. The baskets of chicken wings just kept coming. Spicy then milder alternating... we had to admit defeat by the fith basket of chicken wings and second of fries... Was fun. Service was great, attentive and zippy. Huge selection of decent tequila 👌 Left happy and like we had an experience. Reccomend.

Wing Wednesday is just the best idea. Such good flavour, service was perfect. Friendly and inviting, really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food. Really generous portions but super tasty. Lots of great flavors. Gotta try it!
Jonas Anderson
Food is outstanding and service quick and attentive - don't be fooled by the lackluster decor. Portions are large - we ordered two mains and a side for two people and couldn't finish it! Drinks were fresh and bright; not exactly fancy, but fun and fast. Good value, but definitely worth checking to see whether they have bookings available on FirstTable to save some money.

A really awesome Mexican place in The Aro. The tequila range is extensive as the name implies and plenty of non alcoholic options too. Their unlimited tacos keep on coming with attention, and they're sure to keep your drinks filled.<br/><br/>Overall a great festive way to start the evening.

Honestly, worst dining experience I've had in Wellington. Super expensive, extremely below average food, long wait times. Would not recommend to anyone.

Well it’s just too damn bad we can’t rate a 6/5 because Tequila Joe’s has changed the game. Satisfaction ✅ Taste ✅ A desire to travel to Mexico and bathe in the finest Buffalo wings ✅. <br/><br/>We came in for their all you can eat wings special and Tequila Joe’s did not disappoint (unlike my first marriage). Eight different scrumptiously, delicious flavours; each sending you to new realms of excitement. Whether it’s the scintillating taste of Moroccan chicken, or the fiery furnace emanating from their kickers, you’re in for an emotional ride (seriously, some of us were tearing up). <br/><br/>Alas, lest your heart (and stomach) desire a less bumpy ride, feel free to go for their San Diego Fish Tacos which will deliver a fresh taste for the amigas. Believe me, if Dora were exploring this restaurant, Swiper would be all up in dis. <br/><br/>Take a night out, visit Tequila Joe’s, and subsequently release your inhibitions, for if Buffalo Wings were a religion, Tequila Joe’s would be your Mecca!

It was one of their busy nights despite the 'bomb low' forecast. The manager was able to sit 2 of us within 15 minutes. Each of us ordered $25 all you can eat wings and a standard drink ; that includes the $5 shots from the bar menu. The wings come with different mexican spicy flavours - Buffalo ranch was my favorite. The servings of wings were continuous until we signalled we could not take anymore. It was relaxing two hours at Tequila's Joe and the service is excellent!

Been coming here for a while, awesome service and banging food, cowboy fries and wings are so good! You don't get anything else like this in Wellington. Drinks have plenty of options all which are all really good. My mrs is vegetarian and was a bit on the fence but has recently converted thanks to cocktails and vegetarian options that they have!

Came here with a group of friends for all you can eat Taco Tuesday and fair to say all of us left satisfied and happy.<br/>The fish, pork and chicken tacos were really good although by the end of it they were putting way too much of the creamy sauce on the chicken taco which made me feel a little sick as it was way to rich. The beef taco is poor though. Pretty much mince in a soft taco. Could probably do better at home. The fries were absolutely amazing and the best thing about it is that they were included in the all you can eat deal.<br/>Hidden cost/small print to get the all you can eat deal is that you have to buy a drink. Not a major problem but the drinks are quite expensive so minimum spend per person would be about $30ish for the all you can eat tacos and a drink.<br/>Wait staff are extremely friendly and the whole restaurant is buzzing with so many people. Service is very fast and efficient as well.<br/>Definitely would go back and it's so much fun with a group of friends. I would highly recommend booking a table as with so many people finding out about Tequila Joe's fantastic food and the all you can eat deals that they have throughout the week this place fills up very quickly.

I came here on a thursday night for all you can eat tostada. The tostada were nice. However, base weren't crispy enough which made it more difficult to eat and one of the waiters said the vegetarian tostada would have kumara but did not have any on mine. Overall, I still enjoyed their food. The side chips had a lot of dips and the sangria that I ordered was really good. Also, service was fast and the staffs were really friendly. I will definitely come back to try their other dishes! :)

Went for all you can eat wings night with my partner. Great service and the wings were comin faster than we could eat them. Cosy little place and it was bustling. Book a table - it's fills up pretty quickly. We left here VERY full.

Came for the all you can eat tacos on Tuesday. was a group of 6 which we booked for (place is extremely busy on a Tuesday so would advise booking). cocktails were really nice though they did take a while to come out (understandable as very busy). tacos on the other hand were so so. the worse would have been the chorizo one, too greasy and too much sauce. the pulled pork and chicken were the best of a bad bunch. probably will not return, in all our table spent over $250 and what we got was certainly not worth that.
NB
Had dinner here a couple of nights ago. Ordered a couple of drinks each, one of us had hard pink lemonade and the other had one of their tequila drinks. Both thoroughly enjoyed them (and had seconds). Then had corn chips and guac, the corn chips were warm which was nice and the guac was delicious. We shared a chicken quesadilla and had a steak taco each. Both of these were delicious, and we were both stuffed by the end of the meal. Staff were very friendly, music was good, and the restaurant had a generally relaxed vibe. Will definitely be back!
Stacy Heyman
We went here for the all you can eat tostadas which came with Baja fries and a variety of unlimited sides - they gave us lots of guac which was great! <br/>When they sat us at the bar they then offered to move us, as they had booked a group of 10 behind us, which would have overcrowded the walkway. <br/><br/>We ordered the vegan and chicken options, both which were great. The only downside was it said it was $23 a person, and in the fine print said a drink also needed to be purchased, per person. It just would have been nice to know this at the start, and not be told halfway through our meals we had to buy drinks. We would have loved to start with the drinks before the meals came out. <br/><br/>In terms of seating, the whole place is barstools, which wouldn't be ideal for young children or wheelchair users. <br/><br/>It would be a good place for a first date, or to have a romantic night because the atmosphere feels intimate. Good vibe, would return.
David Rangi
Awesome all you can eat food here would highly recommend to friends and family! Loved the tacos loved the tequila loved everything! Defiantly will be back

We tried the two for one tostadas and really enjoyed them. Loads of food, fresh and tasty without being too flash. Service was excellent. Great little place for a drink or quick meal.

I was looking for a venue for my sister's big birthday and knew she loved Mexican, when I google searched Tequila Joe's came up and with one glance of the menu I knew I was sold.  Who doesn't love sangria, pop art on the walls and the sound of wings (with multiple sauces to choose from), and Cow boy fries made me curious.  So I phoned and spoke to the friendliest staff member.  I explained what I was after and within a 5 minute conversation he had worked out food, drinks, offered a birthday banner (so not my sister), access to music and to play a video on the screen.  He was also happy for me to have decorations and come in half hour beforehand to set anything up.  The staff were helpful and not overbearing allowing us to socialize and call on them if needed.  It was a beautiful afternoon so a few of us hung outside at the kerbside tables provided.  I could not recommend this venue enough, it is cosy, had a lovely clean bathroom - I cannot recommend this enough!!!

The drinks were great (you definitely pay for the quality at TJs), and the range of tequila (whilst not extensive) was solid. The services was great - our waiter was attentive and checked on the table as new people arrived. The food was not what I'd consider part of the current 'fresh-mex' trend. We all received large servings but the food was basic, my fish tacos were slabs of battered fish (is that really Mexican?) with cabbage and carrot - I'm glad I ordered the side of gauc (they did a good job of customising my order to take out things I can't eat - so that was appreciated and shows their service ethos). There was too much food to eat, I'd prefer smaller portions of better quality food at the same price. In the end the food felt basic and over-priced.Ultimately, the food lets this place down, certainly not the staff (who were great). The tables - with their domed bases did make manoeuvring chairs tricky as the chairs would fall over when people had to get come and go from the table - minor detail I guess.

Had my 21st there this weekend and absolutely loved it! Great staff and service, putting up with all of us dragging them out onto the dance floor. Food was awesome, jalapeno poppers a must and the corn chips with dip so good! Staff were so flexible and easy, let me tailor my own vibe and were easy to sort things out with. Would definitely recommend for all functions!!

All you can eat Taco Tuesday is awesome. <br/>The entire night was so laid back and chill. Really yummy tacos and great drinks. It is great how you get to try all the different flavours. <br/>It was such a good experience.
Connor Finlayson
Had the All you can eat Tacos and loved it. Combine that with a new Tuatara jug and you pretty much have a great time out guaranteed. Would recommend to anyone who loves food.<br/><br/>Best Mexican restaurant in town.
Mia Henry-John
Went for three for two Thursday and had a wonderful time! Loved the intimacy of the small space, and the inviting decor. A group of four each had a main, I had the chicken enchilada which was delicious and the perfect level of spicy! We used our freebies to get nachos and cheese fries- both super tasty and will definitely return for the cheese dip- yum! Also shared a jug of sangria: a little pricy but good for a treat and tasty! Will definitely be back- wanting to try out the all you can eat taco Tuesday!!

Came for all you can eat tacos on Tuesday. Admittedly I wasn't all that hungry, so coming on this night was probably not the best idea. For $22.50 you get all you can eat tacos and fries, but you also have to buy a drink which puts the total up to at least $27.30 if you buy the cheapest drink on the menu. <br/><br/>The tacos were disappointing, it seemed as though with each flavour that came out, they got worse and worse. The best was the chicken taco with salsa and some sort of creamy sauce on top, however it didn't have a huge amount of flavour and was nothing special. The pork taco was next, then the mince one (which was something I could have made at home), then the breakfast taco (which was literally scrambled eggs and bacon in a tortilla...) and the fish taco which consisted of a bit of red cabbage, a piece of hoki that looked like it was from the fish and chip shop and some grated carrot and sauce. <br/><br/>Overall not the best experience, especially for the price. However the fries were yum and service was really good. Would probably not return.

Loved it. <br/>Went here for date night and the staff and atmosphere were amazing. The waitress was professional and very friendly. The food was served within a acceptable time frame and the food itself was overall great. Loved the fact that it was a byo. Will be back for sure.

Got one voucher on first table, so food are 50% off. We had chicken enchiladas and fish taco. Enchiladas were good but I like taco more. Baked corn were very nice with feta. Nice food friendly stuff. We'll go back again.

I had Tequila Joe's all you can eat Tacos for the first time, and it was amazing. I have had coeliac disease for 1 year now and this was the first time I have eaten out without having a gluten related reaction. They were very friendly and happy to adapt my tacos to being completely gluten free and dairy free. All the equipment used was kept separate from anything containing gluten and they even served mine in a separate bowl to avoid cross-contamination. I experienced no judgement about having such a restricted diet (as I have at so many other places) and was always greeted with excellent, happy and polite service. Plus the food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be going back, and it is a must go for people with Coeliac Disease.

Great food, great service. Always love this place!<br/>The food is excellent and really authentic to what I tried while in North America. It's always busy on Wednesday when I go down, but the service is still always with a smile and running smoothly.<br/>Great little place!

Okay so I must admit that I've walked past this place a few times and dismissed it as just one of 'those tacky fake mexican places with an equally tacky name' - and oh are there so many of those places around! But tonight we decided to look past the tired looking exterior and give it a go.  (The BYO option definitely helped that decision).  I can honestly say I was pleasantly suprised right from the outset.  We were greeted by genuinely friendly staff who were knowledgeable about their menu and not pushy.  It really is a hole-in-the-wall type of place, and the decor is tacky to the point of quirky, and any other time I would be annoyed by an open kitchen but here it seemed intimate and honest.  We ordered the wait staff's recommendations and they certainly didn't lead us astray.  The buffalo wings were juicy, with the right amount of spice and not too oily.  We were given complimentary fresh corn chips with a jalapeno cheese sauce that I felt hard to stop myself from just eating straight with a spoon.   We went a little hard on the entrees though as by the time the mains came around we were a little full - but the Quesadilla's and the Steak Ranchero were both tasty.  The Rachero came with corn tortilla's identical to the ones you actually get in Mexico which was a bonus, and that heavenly cheese sauce made an appearance again.  Special mention also goes to the spiced sour cream that also came with both dishes.  We stuck to our byo wine but i spied a sign boasting $5 shots so next time i've had a hard week at work I think I may find myself sampling some of their promising looking tequila range. I will definitely be back.  Even if just for the classic tunes and showings of some classic black and white movies behind the bar.

We organised our social club function at Tequila Joes and this was the best little bar to have a fun night out with your mates, we were so well looked after by all of the staff drinks and food were flowing, atmosphere was so much fun. The sangrias were amazing and delicious and we loved the fact you can buy them in jugs, the platters OMG so moorish and tasty that it takes a lot to stop yourself from wanting to lick the plate 😄. We all loved our night at Tequila Joes.

I have been meaning to write this for a while! I had my 30th birthday party here in Feb and we had a blast! A friend and I booked the whole bar for the night, which was free so long as we spent an allocated amount on food (I think it was $350) - so we thought that was amazing value! The food was brilliant and the staff were great - the drinks specials that they put on were really good value too. I have been here for food a few times, and it has always been great - and I would certainly recommend it as a venue for a great celebration!

We went here last night for all-you-can-eat Wings. I saw a poster on Facebook that said $20 plus the purchase of a beverage (starting at $4). Upon leaving I was charged $25 and have just today been told that that was the previous price. I only went here because it said $20.<br/>At our table we had 4 hungry adults and when our basket of chicken came at intervals of 10/12 mins, with only 3 or 4 wings each at a time we did not feel it was all you can eat wings. We were given 5 baskets of fries to our 5 baskets of chicken. <br/>I was also charged a different price for drinks than what the Facebook menu said. Since mentioning this it has been removed. <br/>Not really impressed but maybe I need to come in for a la carte. I love Mexican food and culture. <br/><br/>

Great tequila selection. Food is delish and very reasonably priced. Fish tacos are tops! Small place but great atmosphere and staff. The cheese stuffed and crumbed jalapeños are super too.
Jordan Morrice
Went here with a group of four mates on the Thursday 3 for 2, and got an extra dish. We got the nachos, beef and chicken tacos and the half size of wings. The wings that were 'damm' hot were all good, tacos about the same and nachos about the same. <br/><br/>I like the vibe and feel of Tequila Joes, and the deals are good but the food is always good, just sadly not great. Cool place for a drink and feed on a spot you wouldn't think would be that great. But to be honest I think there's better places to get food of that style in town, your Five Boroughs, ect. But that's just my humble opinion :). Will definitely return at some stage, especially for the all you can eat Taco Tuesday! Worth a try for yourself.

Loved this place!!! Went on All You Can Eat Taco Tuesday ( $20 for this special), was super small but packed, so I strongly recommend making a reservation. Went with a group of 6 and had a great time. Atmosphere was relaxing, however, music was a bit loud for convo. Hard pink lemonade was delish! Food was amazing, fries were crispy and special sauce was yummy and tacos were amazing (soft tacos by Te way, thought I was getting the crunchy ones, but not disappointed at all). Tried 5 different types of tacos, loved them all; spicy calamari, chicken with guacamole, mince, fish, and spicy sausage with black beans. All great! Only thing I didn't really like was that when we walked in, we weren't really told how or when to start the official food ordering, were waiting for 5-10mins waiting for someone to ask if and when we were ready to start the taco rounds, lucky we were waiting for a friend so the time didn't really matter.<br/>Totally recommend for a mid week night out!!!<br/>NOTE: in order to get the Tuscan taco special you had to buy at least one drink, my pink lemonade with vodka drink cost $10, this is mentioned on their website by the way!

Mixed feelings about Tequila Joes. Went on a tuesday for all you can eat taco and fries. The atmosphere was great but the tacos were a little dissapointing. Was excited to try the fish taco, but turns out the fish was cheap nasty crumbed fish that you would buy from the frozen section of the supermarket. The mince in the mince taco was cold.. which was a bit odd. in saying this thhe chicken, salsa taco was delicious! The all you can eat fries were yum. Overall for $20 it fills you up and is a cool experience. Probably would go back but not for taco night!!
Samuel Mellor
Went here for a late snack and drinks. It's cosy though a bit loud for conversation. Both of us got a nostalgia kick out of the the 90s alt rock mix on the playlist.<br/><br/>Service was excellent - speedy and efficient. My beef enchilada was fine though it's pretty difficult to mess up. Margarita was good, didn't get to sample the tequila. Keen to try the all-you-can-eat wings on another night.<br/><br/>All up, don't expect too much and you'll be fine.
Amber Scott-Harvey
Fantastic wee venue. Great easy menu, full and inspired flavours and flexible to allow for GF/DF/VG/V diners! BYO allowed and amazing tequila and cocktails menu. Would definitely return, thanks for a great night! Tip- book in advance to secure a dining booking, popular and fills quickly- or for drinks just drop by!

I booked Tequila Joe's for a bachelor party function. Organising it from Auckland could've been difficult but Adam made it a complete breeze - lots of patience answering questions! <br/><br/>The night was fantastic, top notch food that wasn't at all your typical generic bar fare but actually had flavour, great atmosphere. Awesome spot off of the strip to kick off the night. Definitely a recommend from me.
Carl Penwarden
Adam and his team at Tequila Joe's put on an awesome function for us with exceptional food, spectacular drinks and great hospitality! The location was perfect for our group and we had a fantastic night.
Harry Chapman
I went with a group and it worked well, but i felt it was a bit overpriced - $24 for nachos is just a bit steep. The food was nice, but not exceptional. Service was good
Aaron Bird
Went on a Tuesday night for the $20 all you can eat Taco's great fun, Tacos types come out in random order, and all pretty tasty. Plenty of 'Mexican' drinks on the menu. Friendly staff, good music would definitely go again.
Aimee R
Ate here a while ago and have mixed feelings. The service was great, but that was probably the only stand out of this place. I ordered nachos, which I normally love but almost all I could taste was onion or something like that. I couldn't finish it and felt ill afterwards. I know lots of people who like it here, so I wouldn't rule out returning, I just would order something different.
Lisa
Very friendly staff. Great food. Excellent drink selection. 4.5/5
Anya Jenkins
Awesome food, great staff and fun atmosphere. The cheese dip is fantastic! Lots of veggie options and staff are willing to explain the menu if needed. Love this place! :-)
Matthew Lewis
Awesome tex-mex food with a great Americana feel. Food is excellent, cheese is sublime, and the drinks keep your thirst at bay long in to the night. Can get busy, so be sure to get in early, or make a booking!
Clark Rogers
Excellent spot to enjoy a tasty as margarita or some bangin Mexican food. Staying late for drinks till 3am is always awesome too. Always good music and a good vibe going down.
Amy
This place is awesome. So much so that I visited twice in one week. My first visit was with friends who are big foodies. We dined on a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and helpful and knew their way around the menu. The ambience was great, with good music and an intimate vibe. Entrees arrived promptly and were spectacular. I especially recommend the poppas - delicious! Our mains were served in a timely (but not rushed) manner as well. 2 of us had the soft tacos - one chicken and one beef. Both were served piping hot with fresh ingredients and sauces that complemented the meats very well. Our third diner had a beautiful enchilada. I was so taken with the place that I went back a couple of days later. We were seated at a moments notice by the owner, Adam (who is half Mexican, explaining the authenticity). Again, we experienced great service, great ambience and superb, authentic food. The bathrooms are clean, the parking is easy and the atmosphere is trendy but intimate. Thoroughly recommend this place and all it offers. Big ups to Adam and his cool team for creating a Hard Rock Cafe/authentic tex mex experience. We will be back!
Vanessa
We came here for a drink and a meal and will not be returning. Food was extremely average and overpriced ( the tacos especially). $20 for two average tacos. Corn chips were heavily deep fried and arrived verry oily. Overall really disappointing.
David Benjes
What a neat place!<br/>Large drinks list , great vibe, and really fresh feisty food. <br/><br/>I normally think of mexican food as being cheese smothered stodge but the nachos were really light and tasty lots of herbs and fresh ingredients.<br/><br/>We had the Sangria, an american craft beer I haven't seen anywhere else, the Nachos and Tacos. All good, with pleasant service. Have to come back and order a large sangria.
Paul Jenkin
Right from the start TJs gave me great service. We came from out of town for my partners birthday and thet made an exception to their no booking rule so she could get her hit of Mexican food.<br/><br/>The buffalo wing starter was good. My only complaint was that we should have got more because 6 wasn't enough. Next time will get the dozen.<br/>I had the excellent Joe Staley nachos - def not the same as nachos everywhere else. Portion size was good. Not huge, but they had a bigger option if you wanted it. Sus had a steak burrito which she enjoyed. Plenty of steak in it by the looks of things.<br/><br/>Atmosphere was very good - classic rock playing - had to sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody when it came on...<br/><br/>The staff were friendly and the service was good.<br/>.<br/>Will def be going back next time we come to Welly.
Marianna ...
Fantastic place. Excellent cocktails with a number being served in AEG jars. Quirky approach which really works. The service was spot on and we enjoyed the food. The music was pitched perfectly and it all came together to create great atmosphere. Give this place a go, you won't be dissappionted.

Tequila Joe’s had only been open for a couple of days when we found it. They don’t get heaps of foot traffic on Vivian Street, but we passed this place twice a day on our walk in and out of town. My dining partner was yearning to open a tequila bar in Auckland and since no such thing exists in Auckland (yet), we had to try out Tequila Joe's. <br/><br/>Come here for California-style Mexican food and top shelf tequilas. <br/><br/>Unexpectedly wonderful was the top shelf tequila: Caramba Pink Reposado, sipped with a sangrita. A creamy tequila with caramel flavours. If you have ever had tequila treat you bad, this is the one to make you fall in love all over again.<br/><br/>The most interesting thing on the menu was the Churros and the Mexican hot chocolate.<br/><br/>The atmosphere was still working itself out. It’s in a funny part of town and the word hadn't got around yet.<br/><br/>Expect to spend $10-$16 on a good tequila and the same again for an item or two of food. If you want to park on a seat for the evening, you could easily spend $50 each on a drinks and snacks.<br/><br/>The service was Good. Our bartender as happy to chat to us about their different tequilas and make suggestions to try. They didn't mind one bit when we wanted tequila for breakfast. Extra points!<br/><br/>We visited twice over a long weekend and would visit again next time we are in Wellington. I would come back to try the snacks and a cocktail or two. They have all you can eat tacos (baja fries and Spanish rice) on Tuesdays for $20 which sounds like fun.
