Review Arabica Cafe - Wellington

Lattes are very large, or they do bowls if you want to drink your breakfast 😂. Ask for a tulip or point to the smaller flat white cups if you want to taste the coffee though. Toasted chicken and cranberry panini’s were delish.

Excellent place for brekky and or lunch. Coffee is very delicious as well. Staffs are friendly and efficient. Both mornings and afternoons can get busy but I think it’s also open on Saturdays and much quieter. Wifi available as well. Lots of variety of menus. The cabinet foods and baked goods are freshly made and very delicious. Highly recommended and would visit again :) please keep up the good service and food quality!

Loved their coffee, it had a humming vibe, easy to get to, staff attentive, a great way to start the day...

Coffee place near cable car across the street from count down. Has two parts, dine in cafe and a grab a coffee to go counter. Friendly staff, often too busy and less attentive during peak hours - morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea time. Airy space, Great for summer time.

Lovely vege omelette for breakfast and hot coffee. Friendly, welcoming staff.

Always a great place for a good coffee down by waterfront. Had toast & preserves & good quantity of both. Service was quick & pleasant

Good coffee and and fast service. More importantly it's consistently good. Can be very busy and loud at times but it's relaxing when not packed.

My work team and I come in to Arabica several times a week - every Tuesday we turn up with 14 labelled coffee cups, which would throw anyone into a fuss, but these guys sort us out in great time all with a smile! They are awesome in here, would definitely recommend.

I ordered the homemade hash stack. Was told they had run out of homemade hash browns but they do have normal hashbrowns. Food was so good, real bacon and poached eggs were runny, just perfect. The hashbrowns could have been a little bigger though. They were the little triangle kind. Food arrived in a timely manner (they were busy) and staff were friendly. Great service, I would definitely go back.

Had a turmeric latte (can’t often find them), and a chilli and feta scone which was really light (and large). Good value and good service.

Great wee place with quality food and friendly staff, great coffee too!

Nice place to eat.. soup is highly recommended. New Indian Punjabi owners are great and especially the Guy in coffee shop is amazing.. very professional and welcoming. I think other staff should learn from him.

Nice ambience, we ordered the Arabica breakfast and it was good except that the sausages were salty. I would recommend this place if you wanted a relaxed environment and a tasty breakfast.

Coffee was great! Breakfast this morning was a bit slow!!! There was a delay with food this morning another table got up to complain 😬😅.

Ordered the eggs bene and my mate had the smashed avocado. Unfortunately my muffins were toasted in a way that made it tricky to cut through. You know when some of the moisture comes out and bread goes a bit tough n chewy? Yeah...

I'd pop in for another coffee that was bang on. Just not sure about the food. (it wasnt bad, just more ho hum!)

Really love coming for a coffee and scone here, it was top notch and on top of that all the staff were very friendly too. I will be back sometime soon

In Wellington on business. Went here three times for breakfast.
Fast, efficient and friendly service. Well done guys.
Food brilliant, coffee even better.
Premises average to good.
Thoroughly recommended.

went here for the first time for lunch as is BOGOF in the entertainment book. I ordered the chicken burger which was a schnitzel and my friend the calamari salad. burger was really tasty and huge size, my friend said her salad was nice. waiter was very friendly and fast service. for two meals and 2 beers worked out at $34 which is very reasonable. would recommend and go back again.

Reasonably average cafe. Nothing bad about it, but neither was there anything that made it stand out. The service was good and so was the coffee but I'm unlikely to go out of my way just to go there again.

Great place for a coffee and cake. Food on the other hand not so much. Lucky it was an Entertainment Book 2 for 1 deal or I would have felt robbed. Had the lamb and my friend has the fried chicken which was actually quite delicious. Sent back my lamb it was overcooked and so tough I could have used it to replace my brake pads on my car.

This is my local and I love going in there. The staff are always so friendly and they even know what I get. Such good service and the cafe food is always tasty.

This has been a favourite of mine for years. The location opposite the Intercontinental is excellent. The customers include hotel guests, Wellingtonians and visitors in general. The place tends to be busy and crowded throughout the day, reflecting location and popularity. You are as likely to find yourself cheek by jowl at one of the closely alined tables with a CEO as you are a suburban matron having coffee. In many ways Arabica is a Wellington institution and as such is a place where people meet and you run into friends and acquaintances.

Coffee is good and the food is not bad, though the club sandwiches are a tad pricey.

Great coffee, good filled bread rolls. Noisy but that's because they are busy and the sound bounces off the hard surfaces. Nice window seat and at outdoor table. Been half a dozen times because of location and coffee and plan to continue. Have not had a meal.

Reminded myself today why I avoid this place. Average service and really average food. We were a group of four, ordered at the same time. I ordered a cabinet fritatta with a salad. My meal arrived approx 10 mins prior to the rest of the table. The fritatta was tasteless.

My friend ordered the fish cakes. They were distinctly fishy smelling and tasted awful, really stodgey. When we mentioned it to the waitress she said she'd tell the chef but there was no follow up or apology.

As we went to pay we again mentioned the average meal. The cashier and owner were totally disinterested in the fact the food was not nice. Overall a really disappointing experience. Never again!

Good place to get a nice coffee and a good sized breakfast in the morning. Although depending on the barista the coffee can be a bit hit or miss

I went to this cafe because of the entertainment book. Had the fish cakes as stated gluten free. Well spent the next day sick as because couscous was not gluten free. I did question with staff member if she was sure it was gluten free. Bad experience. My friend had risotto, found it to be tasteless.

On a Thursday morning, prior to the World Cup starting, we opted for a breakfast here, as the place seemed to be well patronised. Very mediocre - at best. Service was average - a request to replace white toast with wholegrain took 3 explanations (we are native Kiwis so hardly a language barrier). Mocachino was ok - but not a marshmallow, chocolate fish or anything in sight - everywhere else in Wellington came with something, for the same amount of dollars. Very limited menu, obviously as the place runs like a production line. Two orders of bacon, eggs, tomato and toast. Got the bread we ordered but no butter, eggs weren't even beaten properly before they were scrambled and bacon had hardly had a chance to touch the pan, resulting in a pale offering without a hint of flavour.

Plenty of other options in Wellington to spend your hard earned dollar, whether you're a tourist or a local.

Chai latte was Good, Avocados that were served were brown, Orders kept getting mixed up, I went there with my Mum, we had been there for 30 minutes (waiting for a lady to test drive our car) when a waiter rudely asked us to leave because the cafe was becoming Busy, I've worked in hospitality for four years and have never been so mortified, wish Arabica all the best but will not be returning

Went there with my family in early January, had a long wait, then the order was wrong, as I had waited and already paid, I said okay, ate then left.

I had breakfast at Arabica today and was sadly dissapointed. The muesli with fresh fruit and berries was not only more like a pick and mix nut fiesta but there were no berries to speak of and only a token two or three pieces of fruit on top. The coffee was the biggest dissapointment, very milky and it was a flat white! I do not understand how the place was so busy.

Today I had lunch with a friend and we both choose the fish. The dish was nice overall, althought slightly salty - but good. It was busy and they do get a lot of people into a small location. I'd go back without question.

Went for breakfast this morning. THE BEST coffee I've had in a long time! The staff were friendly, and our food arrived within 10-15minutes even though they were fairly busy at the time. Great that they open at 7am! A group of us went before work. All meals were fantastic, including the seasonal fruits bowl that I ordered. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others - the food in the cabinet looked great too! :)

I've been to Arabica three times and each time the service has been superb, the mochas are to die for and the food has been fantastic! During a busy morning tea period, it took only 5 minutes from when my order was placed for my coffee to arrive steaming hot. Fantastic!
