Downtown Wellington to walk along Cook’s Strait and have one of these pies. From when you walk in you smell how delicious they are. We had the supa dupa and the vegetarian one. Already want to go back!

Pies, yes, but also CAKES. Special mention for the melting moments and the ginger crunch. If you're not local it's well worth the trip out to Island Bay to work your way through the cakes & biscuits menu, good luck choosing your fave! Top notch friendly neighbourhood bakery.

Awesome hearty vegetarian pie packed with veges! Only downfall is that the filling was a little watery and the pie was a bit lukewarm, but overall pretty stoked

Absolutely awesome pies. Most bakeries' vegetarian pies are apologetic - if they even have one - but Patricia's was a tour de force. Real vegetables and interesting ones too. Must go.

One of the best pies you’ll ever get. Al flavours are superior. A disappointing experience there this morning though. The person who acted as the “boss” was interfered and was acerbic and short tempered. We needed clarification of what was actually available and asked about an interesting looking item in the cabinet.
The Enquiries were met with short tempered exasperation stepping all over the two people trying to serve us politely. I can only guess the staff are in for a long day!
I’ll try them again because the product is good but won’t tolerate being treated that way again. Shame - spoilt my day really.

I am a huge fan of Patricia's Chicken Curry Pie, Apple Pie & Apricot Pie. The delicious flavors, perfect pastry & generous, quality fillings make for a real treat.

One of the best pie shops in Wellington. Great value for money and great variety. I like that these pies have generous flavourful filling which is not too liquid, not too firm, but is just right. The pastry is well-baked through and not too oily.
Soul kitchen-style desserts are very good too. Just to mention, we moved to Kapiti but keep coming to grab a few Patrisha's pies and put them in the freezer.

The pies are amazing. Great selection of fillings and great pastry. I had a delicious, hot steak and kidney. The curried chicken is apparently fantastic and you can get pies for the freezer too.

New to Wellington and we wanted to find the best pie spots in the region. Patricia's pie shop came highly recommended so we purchased 2 pies. The curried chicken pie and the local favourite, the Steak and Cheese.<br/><br/>The curried chicken pie was a 3/5. The pastry was a bit soft and undercooked and the lid of the pie wasn't flaky at all however the filling was delicious with just the right amount of spice, plenty of flavour and a hearty dose of shredded chicken and veggies.<br/><br/>The Steak and Cheese pie was an excellent 4.5/5. The pastry was improved however it still wasn't flaky enough and it was the only reason the pie wasn't a 5/5. The filling had masses of steak, plenty of tasty cheese (the highlight of the pie for me) and a great gravy. It combined into a very flavorful hearty pie that I'll be coming back to have again.<br/><br/>I also ordered a small flat white. The coffee was good with a flavorful shot and well heated milk however it was over frothed and resembled a cappuccino instead.<br/><br/>Sophie Belinda McIntyre

Went to the Basin Reserve shop this morning to grab my morning coffee on the way to work. The lady was so so happy and approachable and really knowledgeable about the product. Best customer service I have had in a long time and superb coffee!! I will be back :)

Simply the best classic NZ pie shop in Wellington. The staff are super friendly and the coffee is great too. I always go for the vegetarian pie, simply cannot beat it.

Visited here for the first time in a few years. Steak n cheese on form 4/5. They've changed the recipe of the curry chicken and it tasted like a garlic stick..... on top of that there was s long piece of plastic or some sort of wrap inside the pie 1/5.

<br/>VERY DISAPPOINTING PIES HERE !!! <br/><br/>After hearing fave reviews about this pie shop in Island Bay from friends, l purchased a Steak Cheese and Onion Pie at $5.50 for lunch a few days ago. <br/><br/>Although the pie looked nice, crammed full of meat, and the pastry was nice and flaky, I found it to be quite a disappointing pie as it was quite flavourless, and there was no cheese and onion to be tasted or even seen. Also the pie was quite dry. A little more steak gravy would have helped it a long way. <br/><br/>A recently purchased Steak and Cheese Georgie Pie from MacDonalds although smaller, was much more enjoyable.<br/><br/>My other three family members who also had each purchased a pie there was of the same opinion. One of them purchased a large Stockman Pie at $7.00 and found that a promised egg in it was missing, and the pie itself was also quite dry and lacking flavour. <br/><br/>Perhaps being purchased on a Sunday, the pies weren't at their best, having been left-overs from the previous few days' baking?
