Review Mishmosh - Wellington

Visited early morning on WOW weekend. All Blacks were playing for the world cup...it was awesome, lovely staff, some regulars turned up. I had eggs and coffee, offered cream for the coffee! Loved it and would go back any time.

Didn't have any food but smelt okay . The staff was cool . Drinks were reasonably priced :) I had a jolly good time

Just wanted to eat there, first. In the late hours the bar/ restaurant switched into a disco. But it was great! Groovy sounds and great atmosphere. The burgers had been delicious! Personal was a littl forgetful but quiet friendly. I‘d go there again for having a great evening 🥳.

Ryan! Best bartender ever. Made us cocktails that were no longer in the menu (penny loves coin). Super friendly and professional. Amazing service and honestly mishmosh should bring this drink back. Its bloody amazing

Great atmosphere and pretty good food too.

Perfect place for a sports bar. Very affordable for a long game like cricket specially. Staff is just amazing. Bar is open until 1 am and depends on crowd and can be open until 3 am or so. Watched Ind vs Pak Cricket WC and it was amazing experience.

To be honest, this was like my 6th choice tonight for where to find a much needed burger and beer after flying and walking all day, but nearly every other place around town is closed right now in this first holiday week of Jan. But, despite basic draft beer options, their potato wedges and burger are pretty awesome and just what I needed to refuel. I'm very pleasantly surprised I like the mustard mayo / chutney condiments on the beef burger but it's really really good and the bun is nice and soft. Idk what else this place has to offer (starting to feel like a night club now at 10pm).

Had a few private functions here in the downstairs area, fantastic bar staff and an awesome private clubby atmosphere which can be quite hard to find in town on a busy night. Would recommend to anyone wanting to host birthday/work due, etc.

The stereo system needs speakers other than highs and mids, the treble is unreal like stabbing ear bleeding loud and oppressive. Has anyone in here heard of bass? The owners would slay in cash as it's often busy but esp tonight - why cant you invest in a better quality sound system?? Seriously. S E R I O U S L Y. Abnoxiously loud, sharp high cutting levels of treble. It's impossible to talk in here. The bouncer took immediate offense to my husbands religious affiliation (he had a religious piece of jewellery on) and then he proceeded to inquire if my husband had suffered a mental seizure?! WTF.. I dont think the bouncer is a medical professional..ahem. Now bear in mind we were both completely sober upon entry. Not a drop, my husband isn't a big drinker I just wanted to come out and see some of my friends briefly. This interrogation lasted quite some time until l insisted no my husband is fine thank u that's just how he looks. Super offensive behaviour. So weird. We enter after further queries about my husbands t-shirt...(same bouncer again who was staring at his religious jewellery the entire time). Finally inside the bar floor was dripping wet, tables awash with liquor unwiped the entire time we were there even though there were ample staff bussing tables clearing glass. The majority of customers were heavily intoxicated to the point of conscious looking comatose, young and middle aged men in drunken stupors and numerous patrons attempted to steal my drinks or gestured to doing so. The toilets were what you would expect, disgusting and one with a delightful brown smear across the seat. The most appealing thing in this treble hell was the drag queens who were lovely, friendly and took their presentation super seriously and looked amazing but they weren't bar employees just ladies having a nice night out. Everything else was hideous. Id say and employees who work here for a long period of time would suffer permanent hearing damage or loss. I dont know how any self respecting DJ could do a set here because I would genuinely rather DJ a 70th at a nursing home than denigrate the memory of Biggie Smalls thru those JBL tweeters at shrieky ear piercing volume but you best believe there was one and clearly he too has suffered long term hearing loss..total hack. Originally I thought it was just a souncloud mix but no there was a male human in the "booth" most likely playing a premix of mp3s thru his mac.. I didn't go in for a closer inspection why bother. I've worked at and run alot of bars, restaurants and clubs in NZ and know my stuff, this place epitomises everything I dislike about Courtney Place's general drinking culture. Theres some great bars along the strip but this isn't one of them. I've never found this place appealing from street level and would never go here again. Booze was fine, as were bar staff but the majority of the patrons were hideous. If you're keen on creepy incel culture this is the place for you! Men to women ratio disturbingly unbalanced. Ladies, dont bother go somewhere safer for a drink. I'm not exactly a weak woman but I wouldnt drink here unaccompanied esp heavily intoxicated. The creepy dude level runs high here. This place is dangerous even with the excessive number of undercover security who did very little and dont make this place safer by any means. Yuck. As we left we watched a young incel skull the dregs of our near empty jug, and a random other near empty mystery drink. That summed up the whole experience. Dont come here. Spend your hard earned money somewhere worthy of it. Who can afford bass speakers.

Foods okay nothing flash and the pricing is fair. Service is good as well. Basically a bar that serves okay food, it’s not at the top of my list of food places to visit in Wellington.

Loved it here . The burger the drinks, everything was perfect .. staff is kind and friendly and it was a great experience .. would highly recommend this place

My experience with this restaurant is not a pleasant one, every time I have been here the workers are always very unpleasant and unfriendly, I wouldn’t recommend this place for food or the occasional drink because of this.

Great service. Enjoyed the beer. Experience was let down by the Beef burger. Very salty, beef was poorly reconstituted and lacking in flavour. So bad I left half the burger...very unlike me.

I used to go to Mishmosh a lot, but since they toned down their marketing.. I hardly go now. <br/><br/>I used to go in for the special shakes and donuts. <br/>It’s a great place to go out with your friends or even go for a date. <br/><br/>They serve up decent lunch too.

My favourite part about Mishmosh was the service and portions of food.<br/>The ambience is quite warm and welcoming, making me and my friend feel quite comfortable. Definitely heading back for more!

Saturday lunch we came here and got a WOAP burger (jerk chicken with cheese fondue) and it was absolutely sensational. Best burger we've tried by far. Service was great, we got a smile and a greeting as soon as we walked in. We sat and someone came up and took our order pretty quickly. The drinks we got were delicious too. Overall, an awesome, super tasty lunch experience!! Thank you!

Always LOVE sweet cocktail ! Highly recommend double fudge martini and back alley sally if you are a coffee, chocolate or cream person! If you want some snacks go for the wedges dipping in cream cheese ! A great place for your weekend night! 😍

Came here on a day trip to welly. It was a quiet day. Was quickly seated and was given menus but took quite a while for them to get back to us to take our orders. Ordered a light meal of a pizza and chicken bites. Both dishes were good and flavorful. The shakes we ordered was also very satisfying. Will be back next time :)

Decent pub. Decent pub food. Decent service. When the waitress got my order incorrect they gave me a free drink and extra fries even though I didn't kick off at all. Nice cheap jugs! The menu isn't varied but its perfect for a light lunch or cheap dinner. Pizzas are on the small side.

Can't think of a better place to go and sit outside when it's warm and eat cheap but delicious food. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Can't believe I thought this place was only good as a club!

Really great atmosphere, staff are always friendly, the dessert menu is particularly impressive with their Nutella infused donut atop a creamy chocolate thick shake... Yeah it's as intense as it sounds. I would highly recommend on a Thursday or Friday night. But it is usually busy on the weekends.

Great Burgers, and the milkshakes are amazing. quite awesome for what it is! Great spot for a catch up with a mate when you don't want to break the bank!

We liked this place. Went in for their $10 burgers and were pleasantly surprised. You have to order fries separately, but they were also very nice. The guy who served us was friendly which was really good too. Interesting decor.

Great place to go to for evening drinks or during the day. Has a decent vibe. However, the seating is nice in comfy you do want to get in early to get a seat otherwise your standing.<br/><br/>The food is amazing, i love the chicken sliders and wedges with bacon, cheese and sour cream. <br/><br/>The waitresses are bubbly people and are the backbone of the service!<br/><br/>Cannot wait to go back, recommend you visit one of courtenay place good spots

love this place! They have the best desserts & fast service. It had a great feel about it even from the outside and it was buzzing on the inside and had a luxurious but cozy look about the place. I will definitely be coming back next weekend for a feed.

Good service, staff are very accommodating for gluten free, pizzas are a good bargain for $10 with or without GF base. They even did something special for my flatmates birthday ☺️ Everything's quick and easy at MishMosh - my flatmates would recommend Panko chicken burger and popcorn bites 🙏 yummmm!! - also when they offer desserts they are the best in town 👌

Been there several times now for drinks & food, with friends& work colleagues. Happy Hour is a great draw card & my understanding this is every day. Good prices, nice ambient atmosphere. We had pizza, very nice & wedges which were very filling. Definitely recommend for after work drinks or a weekend avo get together location. My only whinge would be the smoke drifting into the place from outside area.

Went here with the work team for a lunch and to try out their new burgers. The girls were pretty happy with their Vege Burgers however us lads were not too impressed with the cheese burgers. The service was really slow which was strange considering it wasn't busy, at all. I'll probably return to give them a second chance, could of been a bad day. But it was all a bit expensive for what you get and wasn't really that memorable.

Wandered in at 2pm today (Friday). We ordered a chicken burger and a fish burger. $10 each, beautiful fresh ingredients, and a generous serve of beer battered chips included. Great atmosphere. Service outstanding, friendly, helpful and fun. Wouldn't hesitate to come back!!

Had the time of my life at mishmosh! stumbled upon it and was shocked to see that Jet Bar had not only gone, but transformed into a wonderland of tapas, cocktails, table service &amp; funky beats that kept us there for hours! entertaining staff, good drinks, decent prices, and decor that rivals any other bar on courtenay place. good on ya mishmosh
