Review Leroy's - Wellington

The 241 deal on Monday is totally worth the try. We ordered the Nashville Chicken Burger and Leroy's Burger. The burgers didn't come with fries, which we had to add for $6 extra. It's fair tho bc we got free soft drinks in exchange. The seat isn't comfortable but I guess it's the key idea in their concept, which encourage diners to eat fast then go.

Thank you for such an awesome time. Our team enjoyed our Xmas lunch. The atmosphere was great (what a cool place), the food was excellent and the service even better. Will definitely come back.

Bar tender even though going through a lot himself was an absolute gem and helping everyone around me. Never got distracted by my conversations. Was constantly on the ball. Great place and great staff from what i have seen. (Was upstairs 6:24pm, 18/8/23)

We got 2 for 1 burgers and it worked out to be so reasonable and it was super yummy. Enjoyed spending time catching up with mates in a relaxed environment. Appreciate all the uplifting messages from wāhine in the women's toilet lol.

Whilst travelling for work, I was looking for a for a quick bite and a good craft beer. Leroy’s was underneath my hotel and such a cool place! Dive bar vibe with Americana furnishings, there are some tasty beers on tap to keep hopheads happy. Tasty tacos too. Everyone seemed really happy and relaxed. Great place to visit.

Ordered the Nashville chicken burger on ubereats and it was great. Quality chicken burger and well seasoned fries. Girlfriend ordered the Leroy’s nachos and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend and order it again

Leroy’s is my go to place for an after work chill, pool table, dj, friendly staff, awesome chefs that will cater to any dietary requirements. They have made me feel super comfortable every time I’ve come here and have made the extra effort that goes above and beyond for a venue. As a regular here I can say that they keep their patrons safe. I’ve had experiences where other people around me where being unruly and rude and the staff have been quick to action and remove these people making it a safe environment, speaking as a lady I can say that this place is a comfortable safe environment. And the staff in particular make this place shine.

Great WOAP burger, service a little confusing (no table service) but very friendly, cool atmosphere. Super busy but all the food was hot, fast, and delicious. Thank you!

Love this bar! Food and vibes are always banging but the best part is the staff! So personable, funny and down to have a chat! Always looking out for people before they know that they need looking after so you always feel safe and comfortable ❤️

Classic, rustic, old-school charm and perfect for the disco-themed party that I was there to entertain. The staff in the upstairs bar all got into the theme and the crowd boogied the night away to my 70s (mostly) dance tunes. Great space for this type of event, and nice to have the option of booth seating, the way bars and nightclubs used to be.

The Nashville Chicken is amazing. Perfect amount of flavor and spices. Crunchy, juicy and tender all in the right proportions.

Leroy's is always a winner - a great spot with cold drinks and delicious food. Close to Lambton Quay while also being the opposite of corporate. A brilliant spot for meeting friends a good times.

Great bar. Newly refitted to a cool vibe. Food is good but slow to get at lunch times. Selection of beers is good and changes all the time. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have pin ball machines.

Just ordered the nachos over Uber eats, my partner had the fried chicken burger. Both meals were bloody outstanding. The nachos were so delicious, the queso was perfect. Thank you!!!!

We’ve come a long way since the dark days of the Bull & Bear (I think I still have my B&B VIP card) and I’m glad to say that Leroy’s does some absolutely top notch fried chicken. A recent visit luckily coincided with 241 burger Monday, which is perfect value. I’m not sure that the size of the burger justifies the size of the standard price tag but I’m pretty sure I’d be happy to fork out the $19 to tackle two Spicy Pollo burgers myself. If you can time it for one of their daily deals, I’d thoroughly recommend a visit.

I've been here a couple of times and the service and food is wonderful. Whilst perhaps there's not an overwhelming amount of vegetarian options, the stuff they have is great. The atmosphere is top notch too!

Twice in 2 days! Stumbled upon this place while exploring the city, had some amazing craft beers and gorgeous tasty dirty fries. The decor is fun and bright, the music is cool. Friday night was pumping. Saturday afternoon was very quiet but still awesome. Our new favourite place.

This place is tucked underneath Plimmer steps in the heart of Wellington City just below the Travelodge. Leroy's offers a rather alternative vibe with burgers, beer, and pool. This is definitely a fun place but unfortunately the food is nothing to die for.<br/><br/>I cam here recently for a catch up with friends from Wellington and this place definitely seems like a good place to do exactly that. The aesthetic is a bit tatty, but also very hipster. It can come across as a little rough but definitely has an identity and is still quite cool with a very relaxed atmosphere. There is some very old carpet with an eclectic mix of decor. There is a pool table (on a lean unfortunately), with arcade games and all, giving it a point of difference. Overall the aesthetic is unique and identifiable which is good, although it may not be to everyone's taste it is still cool.<br/><br/>The service was good, the food came out a fast pace and it is also relatively inexpensive. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. <br/><br/>The food however, is the small let down here and is why I can't give it a four star rating. Unfortunately the burger that I had (blue steel) had a bun with a somewhat cardboard like texture.... There was also a hot sauce on the burger which I didn't expect and I personally don't think it worked. However, the fries were good and the overall meal was of good value only costing around 16 dollars. The menu was nice and simple with a good range of options. There were also gluten free alternatives for all of the burgers meaning that most can eat here. <br/><br/>Overall this is a good place to hang out with friends for a quiet night with craft beer and a leaning game of pool. The food is nothing special, maybe just stick to the snack type food as a recommendation for anyone going there. But it is a fun and funky little place with heaps of character and chill vibes.
