Pestle And Mortar - Wellington - Photo album

We had a quick bite to eat here after doing the Weta Cave tour. Little variety , to ve fair. We had the egg&bacon roll and egg&bacon bagel. Both are the same, different bread. They were quite tasty and filling.
Stopped by here after the Weta Cave workshop. Needed a coffee and really cute coffee shop. Great variety of food offerings and for you vegan fans also has a vegan Sarnie and veggie options.
Fast, great coffee, friendly service, outstanding aesthetic. Eggs Benedict we're masterful. 10/10 highly recommended.
I came in on a Sunday morning to read and enjoy a coffee, and they were absolutely flat chat. Despite this, the wonderful barista churned out coffee after coffee, thanking people as they left, freeing people as they entered and apologising for the wait. You’d expect the quality of coffee to be effec
Quiet suburban family run cafe in miramar just around the corner from Weta Workshop. A fresh sandwich and surprisingly good coffee filled the gap. Plus I had the added bonus of a book reading by the owner's 3 year old daughter.
Lovely staff and they did us a delicious vegan toastie with avocado, tomato and cheese
We stopped here because the usual spots were too busy or closed (Monday morning thing) but were pleasantly surprised at the range of stunning eats available from the display cabinet, as well as the great coffee and excellent service with a smile. Thank you!
I was looking for a coffee place close to the weta cave and I found this place by a miracle. Is quite hidden and doesn’t have a big sign in the front that said is a coffee shop. Coffee was really good and tasty. The service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere was confortable and family (and pet
In May 2021 we stumbled across this place. Top sourdough with scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked and GREAT coffee. 2 minute walk from Weta workshop. Naturally friendly staff. We will be back. Hi from New Plymouth
Had the chicken and cranberry panini, late and steak and pepper pie. Was delicious and the staff were friendly!
Great service, the sever said hi to everyone, and told them how far off they were to being served etc so you didn't just feel like you were standing around being ignored. It's got a lot of seating for such a compact cafe and the food was served fast. Personal preference, my pie pastry was thin and s
The vegan toastie tasted good, but it's a shame that it's significantly more expensive than the normal one without being any more "special".
Cute and cosy cafe, great pies. Very welcoming!
We had toasted sandwiches and drinks for afternoon tea. Cozy little cafe, could possibly have the tables with a bit more space between them... very busy cafe, so you end up sitting so close to the next table, and pretty much hear everything each person says. Otherwise all good, and we'd be back, che
Pestle and Mortar is such a lovely Cafe with kind and friendly owners. I haven't felt this level of friendly atmosphere in a while. I'm a fan of their taro bubble tea but they also do nice coffee, iced chocolates, cakes, hot pastries and muffins. The interior is nicely laid out, neat and well decora
Had scrambled eggs, so tasty. Good coffee too (Peoples). And friendly service - give it a go
