Review Siglo Bar & Kitchen - Wellington

First time here with my eldest daughter. We live in lower hutt but came out for the evening. Nice bargin with 2 pizzas for $15 and the rest of the drinks were a great happy moment for me. Happy 😊 daughter makes a happy mum. Lovely staff too. Must go place.

went early I think it's a late night venue, full of people it's a great place

Stop in for a quick drink after work, the bartender was super friendly and gave awesome service. They have a great selection of beers and whiskey as well. I will definitely be coming back to this bar.

Attended a private function. Bar staff were super friendly and professional in every way.

Good bartenders, solid floorspace (both down and upstairs) decently priced, balcony is a huge plus for some air. The only letdown is the men's bathrooms, the top one doesn't have soap and uses a loose stack of paper towels to dry hands, and the ground floor one has no lock on the stall and the door to the bathroom itself doesn't have an auto close feature :/

They had a great band performing when i went there last. Love there jug deals. Upstairs, its always nice too go on the balcony for some fresh air and yarns.

Phenomenal staff, they really care about you and ensure you have a lovely time. They always have a moment to chat and check you're okay. Any problems get sorted out asap and they try their hardest to ensure we have a good time. Amazing barstaff and their cocktails are divine, always a pleasure coming here after work and on the days I have off. Bouncers are absolute sweethearts, definitely one of my favorite places to vibe

Attended a party upstairs in the venue. There were enough staff numbers to ensure service at the bar, food was plentiful and facilities were fine.

Attended a recent function in the upstairs bar. The setting provides an ideal atmosphere for the occasion - either sociable interaction over a few quiets or rousing dance floor antics but probably ideal for 40 at the most. There is an outside balcony for smokers, a breath of fresh air with drink in hand or admiring the outlook on a busy Courtenay Place. Staff are easy going and facilities are of a good standard. Enjoy if you get the opportunity.

There's a lot of hating on this place which I'm not sure is really justified. When I came here, they didn't have the finest selection of drink and it was totally dead (but that might have been because it was earlier than usual). The staff were very friendly though and I could see this actually being a pretty nice place to come if you were out with a bunch of mates for the night.

Not sure what all the hate on Siglo is about. But it's a great bar, the Male bartender on Friday night is cool and it gets packed pretty quick late into the night.

Was paying 9 dollars for house vodka, soda amd lime but seemed to have a good atmosphere, was a huge que to go outside for a cigarette upstairs.

Disgusting place with a disgusting attitude with their support of how their bouncer treats customers. Dragging people out by their hair? Seriously gross

I was at Siglo on Saturday night ... the cocktail list was great, however the mixologist is not. Worst cocktail I have ever had. I left it unfinished.

Good variety of drinks and staff are welcoming and have a good knowledge of the alcohol. Great place for a quiet day drink or party at night.

This place is the best!!! Day time to chill or night time to party, always come here for a good time with my mates. The selection of craft beers is so good and the staff seem to know a lot about their products and even let us try a few before choosing! You can also grab snacks and chill out on the balcony in the sun in the summer. If you want to party, stay here til after midnight and this place goes crazy! Sick DJs, drink deals, always pumping, always good vibes, staff are such a good time, always happy and energetic. 10/10 this place is iconic.

Unfortunately the staff were rude and unwelcoming, as if I was interrupting there conversation when I approached with a query.<br/>A simple hello and smile goes a long way, especially when I was the only customer.

Ok place at most. If I’m spending $24 on two beers I’d expect at least a smile and/or hello, and for the toilets to be in working order. No toilet paper, soap, dryer/paper towels and the staff were too busy chatting with each other to care about their customers.

Dreadful experience, beyond belief .... We went to experience their Wellington on a Plate meal. When making the booking we stated that we would need to leave by 7.10pm as we were going to the theatre, we were advised to make out booking for 6pm (not 5.45pm as we suggested). We placed our order about 6.10pm the lack lustre entree came @6.30pm of gluggy, uninspiring arancini with sad looking cubed (?canned) beetroot salad. Then the wait for mains which never came, by 7.05pm we advised that we would have to leave. We were informed that it was the chefs 1st night!!!! one wonders what had previously transpired that a chef would leave in the middle of Wellington on a Plate promotion?? The one bright point was we were not charged for the entrees or wine consumed.

This has been one of my favourite haunts when I need to chill with a jug of beer. Staff are friendly and the place is cozy with a nice, friendly atmosphere. I tried their Chorizo Poutine which was a delight! It didn't disappoint and I really enjoyed it -- lots of cheese curds and spiced chorizo Bolognese served piping hot!

Raising the bar for pubs comes Siglo. A very busy, slowly gaining in popularity, bar/pub for younger than 44 year Olds. Decent good menu, price is good and quality is of decent standards. <br/><br/><br/>At nighttime though... can get very busy, especially when uni students coke flying in by the twenties on a Saturday after 10:45pm. In this case, the drinks menu is favorable but expensive, the facilities such as the dance floor in the back on ground floor is usually pretty popular, but the upstairs seating areas are usually a nice spot to spend time with friends. It something all who aren't local should probably visit on a party infused weekend.

Not impressed.. Visiting Wellongton for the night and as I was the sober driver abstained from drinking alcohol..On entering the balcony bar all I experienced was the rudest service I have ever encountered in hospitality.. Certainly won't be coming back for a meal. Might pay to train your staff in some basic skills. Like how to smile.

Had a TGIFriday drink here and some surprisingly good grub! The chilli cheese dog was tasty and hit the spot but the highlight was definitely the lemon glazed donut - crispy on the outside and pillow soft inside with the right amount of zing from the lemon glaze. Staff are friendly.

Well-priced drinks and food considering it's right smack in the middle of Wellington's Courtenay Place! Customer service was excellent and food was served right away even on a busy Saturday evening.

Just hopped off the plane checked in and in search for a hearty meal and tbh it was the craft beers that caught our mates attention first off. <br/>The food was not disappointing either! <br/>Beef burger was delish and the pattie wasn't dried out. The fried pickle sat on the top was different but a nice touch. The fish n chips, spicy meatballs, kumara chips, fry bread (needed some butter and to be eaten immediately) and Philly Cheese & rib eye steak sammie presented and plates up well and all very tasty.
