Good coffee, tasty food and pastries, and nice service.

Great meal. The food was delicious. Definitely going back!

Had a lovely meal there last week. We had the Gnocchi and Chicken Burger between 2 of us. Best Gnocchi I've had and portions for both were generous. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere - not to loud. Will be back.

Definitely a 5 star rating for Good Chemistry! Tim and his team were just the best at our sons recent wedding reception. Wedding catering - the food was fantastic, and beautifully served. The venue was perfect for a mid-sized reception. But I have given Good Chemistry a 5 star rating mostly because nothing was too much trouble for Tim - his calm, friendly personality ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience - right from the set-up the night before, and during the reception. And the next morning! Everything was packed up for us, and ready to go (including the leftover food and wine) - thank you so much - you guys are superb at what you do (and totally recommended to anyone looking for wedding catering).

We had our wedding reception at Milk and Honey cafe in early March 2016. Tim and the catering and wait team we amazing to deal with throughout the whole planning process and on our big day. They worked with our ideas, requests and budget to create an amazing menu and atmosphere. The venue space is beautiful and has great views of the city. Tim had good suggestions and contacts we could use but also didn't mind changing things to our specific requests. Our 70 guests loved the food and venue. We had so many compliments on food and everyone felt very well looked after on the evening. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Milk and Honey Cafe to anyone planning a wedding or other function.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I only had a hot chocolate, but it was pretty good.

Had the yummiest omelette and the people and service was super comfortable and easy. I think if I were in Wellington, it would be my most favorite place to visit. <3

Enjoyed this spot, great cafe at the University.

Very confused why there is a cafe that does not welcome university students. That is based inside a university... Very weird when the facebook page says everyone is welcome. Please sort this out!

I'd like to shout out to the staff at Milk and Honey. I've just finished my Honours Year and this place has been a godsend! It's got a fantastic atmosphere, the food is lovely and I think if I couldn't escape here for a quick pot of tea or lunch I'd have gone mad!

Rude to my friends that just needed a food break from studying hard. It’s absolute discrimination. Putting all uni students into a stereotype is disgraceful. Heard the foods pretty shit anyway

My diet is a wee different to the normal person so when dinning out, can be difficult. First waitress lovely, second not so. Asked if they could alter my meal which they did, but no interaction to find out what I could eat or try and composite for there costumer. Out came a plate of just plain lettuce and a small portion of fish on top. That's it!!!!! Deff not what I was expecting. And got charged $24 a lot more costumer care needed!

Alex and the team at Milk + Honey were such a pleasure to work with. So accommodating given that we had only contacted them a few days before! The food was perfect! and allowing us to style their wee space with Confetti Love was spot on! Thanks Alex and team for an amazing job! Highly Recommended A+++

Last Friday the 2017 Romantic Studies of Australasia Conference held its 'conference dinner' at Milk & Honey, about 60 delegates from 12 countries. We loved it! the setup, the combination of shared dishes which catered to various dietary preferences was excellent. Thank you!

Food was dry and coffee tasted bitter

Milk and honey is a lovely place in a nice location, the foods amazing, the people are fantastic and the atmosphere is always on point. 10/10 would recommend for anyone!

Milk and Honey is a cool place, tucked in Vic Uni.
The service here wasn’t that great, found the people around to be quite snobbish.

The food options are great and it’s a cool place to chill out and eat.

Note: only postgraduates are allowed to enter the cafe.

I often haunt Milk and Honey to enjoy some of their yummy deals (241 eggs and 241 burgers) and to partake in their delicious coffee drinks (iced mocha is delish). However, sometimes we get charged incorrectly. They are trying to fix this by having you give your name when you order, and then asking your name when you pay, but there are still a few kinks to sort. Another recent falter is that the cleanliness of the waiters has gone down hill. Very unkempt. But one of the things I love most about this trendy cafe is the fact no undergrads are allowed. As a postgrad, I enjoy relaxing and feeling peaceful when I need to get away from my dissertation. The lovely view of Wellington CBD and harbour is calming. Thank you for the safe haven and the yum noms!

Honestly this place should just shut down. The service there is absolutely terrible especially the owner's. They are ridiculously rude. don't even deserve the rate of 1...

What a greeting! The woman behind the counter plays with a dirty rag while staring staring us down for a long time. Finally she decides she's ready to take my order. But first, the test. She ignores our first inquiry in favor of her own, muttering "post grad?"

The coffee is not good and the breakfast would have been nicer had it been served as hot as it was when it was sitting on the counter..

Little to no redeeming features. First and last time at Milk and Honey.

I felt like Julia Roberts in pretty women when she first steps in to the designer clothing store. The waitress looked at me as if I was a piece of shit on the bottom of her shoe. "Are you postgrad?" She reluctantly asks. Very rude. Yes I am a post grad student. I've obeyed this stupid unspoken rule all my undergraduate life and now I want to indulge in some overpriced eggs, let me. TBH the 241 egg deal is v good. Toast could be bigger. Lovely view. Just off service.

Milk and Honey is one of my favourite cafe's to visit. I have spent much time there over the past few years and the staff are always friendly. It is a lovely place to sit and have a drink and a chat with a friend, or do some work for a few hours. The coffee is great and when it is a hot day I often order one of their refreshing home made juices, or their mint, lime and soda drink. I regularly go with friends to have the '2 for 1' eggs deal (a real bargain!) - and the eggs are always yummy (the poached eggs are my favourite). I recently tried their mint and zucchini fritters, and they were delicious! It came with a feta and walnut dip that complemented the fritters perfectly. Thanks Milk and Honey for being such a great place to go to!

Really good coffee, delicious beef and veggie burgers, great happy hour deals on drinks, and more importantly, super attentive, friendly and lovely staff have made Milk and Honey a spot I have frequented the most over the past two years. The place has got a stylish and modern feel and a beautiful view of Wellington. It's certainly one of those places that's got a character, which is definitely beyond just a university cafe.
Milk and Honey is definitely one of the things that I will miss when I leave Wellington.

Milk and Honey has a modern feel and good variety of food on offer. It has the best coffee on campus and friendly service especially for regulars.

I had a great meal there the other day. It was one of their specials and as you can see is on the big side for lunch.

If you're at Vic Uni, or passing through, I recommend it

Milk and Honey is a regular haunt of mine. I often go for breakfast (the 2 for 1 eggs deal is great and the eggs are always perfectly done no matter how you have them). Today I went for lunch. I had a fish burger with chili coleslaw and saffron aoli. It was very flavourful and the fish was delish. Milk and Honey is the best place on campus if you want a nice lunch and also a good place to study while having a coffee in the mornings or afternoons. The staff there are very helpful and come up with new dishes and drinks to keep the menu fresh.

Milk and Honey is not the kind of place you'd expect to find on a university campus. It's a smart, stylish cafe with views over the city, good to great coffee and a thoughtful, broad menu. The service is relaxed but attentive. It can get busy at lunch time. If you're looking for gluten free sweet treat I'd recommend the choc brownies on the counter.

I go to milk and honey quite frequently as it's one of the only places on campus which does drinks in the evening. The ambience can sometimes be a little strange, and the service is sometimes a little off, but it's mostly fine.

Horrible quality coffee, and whilst it is meant to be only for post-grads/staff this does not happen in practice.

I have only been in here a few times and I find it overpriced for what it offers to be honest. Would much rather go somewhere else!!
Nicola
Milk and Honey has great space, amazing views of the city, good tasty food and well trained staff. It's not the place you go everyday and it definitely doesn't fit into the 'cheap and cheerful' places that you find off Cuba St.
It is the nicest place on campus to go if you're wanting to go for a bit of a posh lunch. It's a nice treat and I will go every time, especially if someone else is paying.
However, because I am old and I am grumpy I find reasons to complain. The cool cement floors are stylish and the bare walls are nice and minimal BUT here is my problem, everything echoes. Conversation between two or three people reverberates until it's like an un-tuned TV, screechy on the ears, irritating and headache inducing if exposed to it for too long.
This isn't meant to be a review on interior design and I don't pretend to be an expert on 'what maketh a good restaurant' but this for me at least detracts from the Milk and Honey experience.
