One of our favourite brunch places- set in the park. They do a great range of vegetarian dishes including vegetarian breakfast. The staff are just lovely kind and welcoming. The nicest staff in Wellington. The food is fresh and beautifully cooked.

Very friendly staff, service with a smile, great food, great coffee. I've been coming here for over ten years. It's still an awesome team, sadly not coming in as much, moved out of area more like visiting family, you'll find that they have many loyal customers over the last 10 years. Busy most weekends with sports ( cricket and football) been played here. Karori cricket club, Waterside soccer club. Has a good running track as well, plus access to the Skyline track.

Ordered a bowl of hot chocolate, was given a cup so asked for the bowl ordered, they came back with a bowl and demanded 50 cents more. We refused and they wanted the drink back and they refunded the money. My flat white was only lukewarm. We will not return to this cafe over their poor service, and 50 cents!

Totally DISAPPOINTED & VERY DISGUSTED with the attitude we received over 50 cents. We had already had a round hot drinks (3 of us) when another person turned up so we then decided to have another round of drinks. She went & ordered the 3 drinks. they were brought over but one was a large drink, ordered was a bowl so they took it away & brought a bowl of hot choccy over. They then asked for the additional 50cents but we said we had ordered 2 bowls plus one large drink. They brought over 2 large drinks & 1 bowl. As it was THEIR mistake I was not prepared to pay the extra 50 cents. I said I would not pay it & if they were so adamant that they wanted it to take the drink away. As the staff member was so adamant about the 50 cents I stated we would never come back here. We on average visit this place every 3rd weekend after mountain biking at the local park as a group of up to 8 of us. They took the drink away & refunded the $4.50 rather than to leave the drink there. Totally poor service & attitude especially over 50 lousy cents which I actually had sitting on the table. This was a principle thing as it was THEIR stuff up!!!!!!!! We had just spent $25.00 today.

Great cafe in the lovely setting of the park with very friendly staff. Very child friendly with an indoor kids play area (not enclosed), good food and coffee at reasonable prices and right next door to the playground. It's our regular go to local cafe!

Why can't you rate zero stars, one of the worst. Cold coffee and over an hour wait for food. The poor waitress was also in tears by all the complaints flooding in. Visit this place if dont appreciate good food and service.

Have been here a few times for breakfast and have never had a bad meal. Coffee is good and service is good. I had the eggs benedict and my partner had the French toast. Both were cooked well. Nice right by the park for a walk afterwards.

Great Cafe. Delicious food and friendly service. They don't usually take too long with their food and are almost always busy. They have outside tables where you can sit in the sun or an inside lounge where you can relax. They also have a kids corner play area which is a great way to let the adults have a chat whilst the kids play. Been there countless times now and almost always very good. Sometimes they can be a little slow when they are extremely busy but the food is often well worth waiting for. <br/>They could improve by hiring a few more staff on the extremely busy days to help with the mass of people. Another thing that would really profit the store is if they installed a fireplace in the lounge upstairs. Thy could light it in the winter and it would attract people to the cafe then for the warmth around the fire. Not that it's ever really cold in there though. It's just a nice idea.

Not too bad. Had two coffee there, first experience wasn't so good as coffee not even too warm, second time was good, tasty coffee, nice slices. Not a very cozy place but more like a club environment. Good for family time over a sunny weekend. Not a place for honey date, whatever, I am married, no need for that. Happy to comeback with my daughter and wife.

Karori Park on a sunny day is a nice place to walk humans and dogs. Cricket and soccer go on, kids play, dubious characters fly drones and people simply go to the Karori Park cafe. <br/><br/>Occupying the downstairs floor of the cricket clubrooms, the cafe has a few tables inside and some outside. Outside its dog friendly, and inside the wait staff and the lady behind the till are human friendly. <br/><br/>We've had coffees (revive), tea (t LEAF) and the odd toasted panini - all are pleasant. There's also a good selection of slices, muffins, and toasted sandwiches, as well as a reasonable breakfast and lunch menu. I hadn't really appreciated the range of dishes that the cafe provides - it is impressive.<br/><br/>So its a pleasant cafe in a pleasant environment - not an edgy foodie destination but like I say, on a sunny day its worth a visit, and you can walk off your, or the dog's, calories in the process. (although at 6km/hr you'll need to go round the park approximately 6 times to burn off one muffin - but don't quote me on that - it depends on your weight).

Pretty decent food, certainly a step up from the previous owners. Try the nachos, pretty good and the coffee isn't too bad either. Great on a nice day however it gets busy and tables not cleared away. When a business gets this busy they should really hire more staff to cover hint hint.

A great place for breakfast with the wife or partner. <br/><br/>Can be a little noisy, due to a lack of space, and it pays to be patient, however the staff try very hard to please.<br/><br/>My Tip: Enjoy eggs benedict or pan cakes!

I love to stop here for a coffee and slice when my partner is playing cricket! The coffee is always great and the slices are generous! It is dog-friendly, so you can sit outside with your furry friend (they have water out for them too). Very good family atmosphere.
