Was missing bagels since moving from the states so we thought we would give the Christchurch Wholly a try. There was some confusion at ordering. My wife's was perfect, and the chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese was incredible, but my pastrami order was messed up twice. I ordered with no mayo, and saw mayo plastered all over when it arrived. After the kitchen remade it with no mayo, I realized that it was a pastrami salmon, not a plain pastrami (beef). Once again the kitchen remade the sandwich. The employee (Mundeep), whom I assume was the manager, was beyond apologetic for the errors. He took it upon himself to make the best sandwiches, and to ensure that we were happy with them. He also gave us a 10% discount on a return visit. We will definitely be back to reward his excellent customer service.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but my bagel was literally unedible. I ordered the wholly guacamole gluten free bagel, and the avocado was so off, that it literally smelled, and was brown. The bagel was also missing any bacon, tomato or lettuce. So I'm pretty gutted. (Christchurch Branch)

Nice food, bad service in central Wellington store. The girls behind the counter look and sound like they are going through the motions. We felt like we were an inconvenience and we were uncomfortable. Friendly service is equally as important as serving good food. You won't see us again!

I'm from NYC & I know what a good bagel tastes like. This place is a huge disappointment. The bagel was stale, hard, & flavorless. I ordered a breakfast sandwich &I ended up giving to the dog. It was that bad. Never again.

Thought don’t want complain in public. Sent pm picture of the disgusting pizza and bagels. They are reading it but not even bothering to reply.

We had a pizza challenge at work last Friday to see who could finish a jumbo pizza on their own. The experience was fun however it was marred by the poor customer service from The Terrace. One of the staff clearly did not want to be there as she didn't smile (in fact she looked a bit angry) to the point she didn't say thanks to anyone AND made the other 2 staff there a little uncomfortable. It doesn't cost anything to smile. Don't worry though. The bigger cost is the lack of repeat custom that 5 jumbo pizzas every week for 48 weeks generates (which is close to $7000).

Bagel was not fresh not toasted and with so much cream cheese. Was told it's the best bagel place in town. Was disappointed.

Would rather eat the box the pizza came in... awful

Hadn't had bagel for ages. Had a tuna one just now from the Thorndon shop. The lettuce was brown! For the money (9.20) I expect much better quality ingredients! Also I don't think the everything bagel was as good as it used to be.
