Definitely my favourite fish n chip shop for Asian style meals. The Bami Goreng is my favourite- lots of meat and vege, really nice flavour. Best of all, the portion size is generous. $15 for about 2 big servings worth, or 3 small portions worth. The picture below is after I had already eaten just more than half of the container.
I've also tried the chow mein and Singapore style noodles. I love both, they all taste really nice! Decent amounts of meat, vege and noodles.

Had the fish and curry spring rolls. The springs rolls were deep fried to perfection. I was hurting after I was done I ate so much.

Very worthwhile, even if its unassuming from the street tucked away behind the bus stop.
I had the fish burger and it was wonderful generous bun, tangy tartare two fillets very filling.

Never had a problem with this fish and chip shop - the chips, potato fritters and crumbed fish taste delicious and crisp, and the portions are enough to feed my family week after week! Great consistency.

Very good fish n chips/burgers. Reasonable price. We phone through our orders, always ready by the time I drive down the hill. Never had any problems with our meals.

Still providing consistent quality traditional fish and chips. We always come here for our fish and chip feed when visiting Wellington. We have also rediscovered the hot dogs in Wellington are the best as they are the old fashioned battered saveloy. Auckland fish and chip shops use a battered sausage on a stick, that is not in my view a traditional fish and chip shop hotdog.
Great Fish and Chips. One of the few traditional fish and chip shops still making their own chips and home made meat pattie.

I'm just going to comment on the egg burger (all the rest of the kai was good!)
The egg burger had coleslaw, and that's about it. The pattie and the egg were fine, but to me, a good burger needed to have a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, or a liiiittle "something else".
It was good... But not great. 😊

Been using this takeaway for years and never had any problems whatsoever. But I keep forgetting to leave a review. So here it is. <br/>I normally order fish and chips which are delicious, can't remember how much but it's not expensive. Then we take them down to the beach area and eat them in the car right out of the paper. <br/>Its so easy to find too, just drive along the promenade with the airport runway behind you and when you see the park on the left turn right there.<br/>You get alot for your money, as we are always full when we've finished hahaha<br/>We've had sausages before which are great for the kids and the jam doughnuts are tasty. Oh and the potato fritters are delish. <br/>Keep it up guys, we will be back again and again.

I purchased some takeaway food at this establishment last night the <br/><br/>16th of Feb 2014.<br/><br/> I first purchased food over a year a go and at that stage Athena food was reasonable quality. Unfortunately since then the quality of the food has deteriorated rapidly to the point of being inedible, unpleasant and unappetizing. I have concluded that this place is without a doubt the worst takeaway in Wellington- and I do not say that lightly .
