Amazing food. Great staff

My go to for Vegetarian Tom Yum soup in the cbd. Lots of veges, good amount of tofu and a nice chili hit if you request it, always made in a timely fashion!
The Food Snob
Bad food, bad service. Not worth your money whatsoever. Just so bad. There's no ingredients in the meal really, just rubbish. I was overcharged and the whole process of explaining and correcting this was nonsensical. There's much better options in the food court don't waste your time go elsewhere.

Service: One was rude, the other just ignoring all around him so probably not happy

Price: Middle of the road

Quality: Really bad, not authentic, really horrible and no way would I recommend this couple of clowns

Not returning as the worst Malaysian eaten anywhere even off of little one man carts in Malaysia. Put it this way I would rather not eat at all than eat that rubbish again.

After waiting at this food stall for a while waiting to order because the guy on the counter was too busy playing on his phone I was finally greeted with a "Yes. What you want."
I ordered a chicken roti chani and for $8.50 it was a very reasonable price. Before long I was given some rotis and a very watery curry.
The roti itself was fantastic but curry did not look very appetizing. Knowing that Malaysian curries are quite thick due to the coconut milk used in them I was quite hesitant to dunk my roti into this brown water.
When I finally did though the taste of the curry was actually quite nice. There was hardly any chicken in the curry and fried potatoes had been put in as a filler and to make it look like you were receiving a reasonable amount of meat.
Taste wise there is nothing wrong with the meal from Satay Delights but I probably wouldn't go back anytime soon due to the abundance of choice around them at Capital Markets.
Hopefully if I do go back the counter staff actually look forward to getting a customer and the food looks a bit more appetizing.

Had a Laksa from here. It was OK. The part I hate about this market, it really is full of shops/people selling food who proabably would have a second rate restaurant.

Another thing I dislike is the food is always served in throwaway plastic bowls with little throwaway plastic spoons. Who wants to eat a meal like that ? Why don't they all get together and buy some decent reusable bowls and spoons like they do in real hawkers markets in Asia instead of that basic plastic shite?

It would make the whole dining experience much better. As the dining experience is second rate and the meals priced the same as KK Malaysia or Little Penang I will be giving the place a miss from now on.

Get rid of the birds and pigeons as well.

It was busy in the food court with queues at most of the outlets. This worked out well as it swayed me to Satay Delights in the corner where there wasn't a queue.

I opted for the Chicken Roti Chanai ($8.00)

I was given one of the vibrating tokens to alert me when it was ready. It only took several minutes.

The curry itself looks small. Half a large pot. It consists of three pieces of roast potato and two pieces of chicken. I would have preferred more as it didn't look that much. There was plenty of roti though.

The curry sauce was great. Really tasty and satisfying. In the end it worked out to be the right amount by dipping the roti in the sauce.

The roti was nice too. Sweet and soft.

Overall a very flavoursome, tasty meal... although an extra piece of chicken wouldn't go amiss.

I love this place! The service here is great, the man is a very friendly and generous man (he gave me extra rice to takeaway during Christmas Eve). The curry guy next to Satay Delights also gave me a whole bunch of curry to take home that day. Basically, I love the people at Capital Market :) I always get takeaway mi goreng from here, it's great. I think it's the best mi goreng you can find in Wellington (I'm quite picky about my mi goreng).I had the nasi lemak here and it was quite alright. The Hainanese chicken rice is also alright, but I would go somewhere else to get this dish.I really like their mi goreng, finding good mi goreng is really hard in Wellington because they will either be too salty or not oily enough. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu. In conclusion, great service, great food!

Malaysian Satay and Seafood Laksa are MUST TRY!
We had tried this food stall during holiday last week, we order the famous Malaysian Satay, Deep Fried Prawn, Seafood Laksa, Egg Roti Chanai and Grill fish.

I must say they are delicious and not too spicy (you can ask for hot if you like), 3 of us shared the food and we got filled! Big potion!

Highly recommended to all especially who love authentic Malaysian food and wanna fill up their stomach with reasonable price!
