Review Karori Park Fish And Chips - Wellington

fine della vento aureo
Awesome service - we had quite a few preferences to our food but the lady managed to took them down all! Everything was perfect, especially the kumara chips. So soft and fluffy and sweet, greatly recommend.

Delicious hot chips Photos are only some of their menu. They have more food options available

Love the food here I like the fact there is variety to choose from it's great for me and my family of 5 a little something for all of us.

Exceptional food and service! We started ordering fangs a little over a year ago now and have never been let down.

Our local fish n chips place. New owner had fee patchy months but nailed the cooking. Crispy and just enough of crispness. Highly recommend karori fish n chips place !

Food was amazing, we had the crispy chicken roll, bloody spectacular! Ripper owner, with a wicked sense of humour and great prices. Thanks đź‘Ť

Excellent Bambi Goreng and the rest of the whanau enjoyed the fish and chips and wontons. Great customer service (spoke to someone called David on the phone who was very kind and helpful). Much better than the old Karori Park Fish and Chips. Highly recommended.

God tier Chinese take away. Out of body experience on the first bite. Expect to pay around $15 for a dish. The portion size is great and the taste is superb. Also a pleasant customer experience and fast meal prep. Def recommend for a evening munch.

Great selection of foods. Service is always helpful. Asked if they can make some of the dishes vegetarian, and it was no trouble. Definitely recommend.

Great selection, good flavours (try to sneak a peek at the sauces they use.

Good meals every time. They can make the chips super crunchy if you ask. Everything is a good colour. Good price when compared to McDonald's or other fast food.

Massive portions for the asian food and tasty too. Fish is always good, if they made their chips in house it'd be perfect!

This place has been the go to since I was a kid. It's just as good as ever with some new owners. Great chips.

Sorry, the chips were way too oily

Possibly the best fish and chips store in Wellington! Serving supremely fresh fish and lovely cooked chips always in clean, fresh oil. Even on the bad days, they're still superior to Corfu Seafoods IMO!

Reliably quick even at the 'witching hour' of dinner time (with kids) and the food is of consistently good quality. Happily recommend at least as far as the hotdogs, crumbed fish and chips that we always order :)

Very expensive and not worth the price. Poorly drained. fish not fresh, smelled really fishy suggesting not fresh at all. service not great, took 25mins for a dinner for two, spring roll had virtually no veges. fat seeped through the paper onto all the plates. Potato fritters were big though. Suggest if you have a good palate don’t go here. Get one star for those potato fritters (just).

Food was average but unfortunately it is not a takeaway i would go or recommend especially being from Auckland. Wouldn’t say its a disappointment though as it was just the closest takeaways to our bach and having arrived in Wellington late we opted for the closest meal over quality.

I’m a stickler for fresh fish and don’t tend to order it from fish and chip shops as I’m usually disappointed. Karori Park has never disappointed and it’s always been delicious. Chips are good too. Our go to.

Really great food and I've never had a problem with service. Nice polite people! Reasonable prices too. I've come by very often and never been disappointed.

There are times, usually when driving home after a weekend activity, that you get a craving for something. I'm know its not pregnancy, its for fried oysters. The preference of course is for bluff but at times one can descend to rock oysters and still get a hint of the same rush. Karori park has often satisfied most of my cravings in this regard. Its the only Fish and Chip shop where you can buy both Paua Fritters and "Real" Paua Fritters, so clearly this is a connoisseurs go to. In local F&C shops there seems to be a range of "realness" but to be honest I haven't a clue how you make an unreal paua fritter.

The service is always fast and pleasant. The fish (battered or crumbed fillets) and chips are reasonably good in a basic sort of way (nothing out of the ordinary but OK). The real paua fritter I thought a little soggy inside but that may have been a one off. For those living in the neighbourhood, I can't see too much point in wandering further along Karori Road. Towards the city there's another F&C shop which is probably on parr or perhaps marginally better. Both have co-existed for so long that they both must offer something to locals.

Delicious chips, fritters, fish and burgers. THE best value and tasting chip shop in Karori!
Fast service too, can't rate this place highly enough.

Great burgers! Always such polite lovely service over the phone too! We usually go for dim sims and won tons rather than fries here. Quick and efficient service. Recommend trying if you are new to the area!
