This cafe has been around for years. Great coffee and not as pricey as some other places, yummy slices and muffins and delicious healthy salad options for lunch. Staff are generally friendly. Atmosphere is ok. Interior could do with a major spruce up and modernised to close off the kitchen and upgrade the very tired looking tables, chairs and vinyl bench seats.

We had Eggs Benedict with Salmon, three egg omelette, Long black and coconut latte. Both meals and coffees were amazing 👏🏻! Very delicious. I was surprised how well a barista managed to prepare the coconut latte, milk was very smooth and creamy, sweet and nice. Perfect! And the coffee shots were timed perfectly too, they were not bitter, sour or burned.
However food presentation is very plain and simple as well as the ambience of the cafe. It is definitely not a place for a date but a lovely place for a quick breakfast.
A spacious and Open kitchen cafe opened on weekdays. You can see chefs cooking your food which is very good. Cabinet foods available from croissant and muffins and sausages to healthier options like salads, baguette sandwiches. Lots of seating inside, both normal table and high table. It can get busy and crowded during peak times. Generally good service. They seem to specialise in catering service due to its name. Friendly, neat and tidy. Overall a very good cafe.
Some excellent lunch options from XX or Word of Mouth - a local favourite of the Government workers stuck in the Pipitea Quarter. Breakfast options are a little underwhelming unless you’re ordering to eat in, but once the kitchen churns into life you can tell this place knows how to cater.
The interior is a little cluttered, and needs a bit of a critical design-focused eye over it. But there’s room and plenty of nooks to chat with friends or colleagues. The coffee is good for non-Wellingtonians/coffee snobs, but still needs some honing to be worth the trek across town.
Go here if you have time and Government-denizen friends.

Wonderful team, who are always welcoming and accommodating!
The food is fantastic and tailors to all dietary requirements, especially vegetarian and vegan options. The salads are always my go to choice!
They also use compostable and biodegradable packaging for their takeaways which is another added bonus.
Reasonable pricing, good service.
I ordered the hash stack everything cooked well, coffee was good too.👍

Good place for either quick bites or lunch. Variety of salad options including a number of vegetarian and vegan. Other counter stuff includes pizzas and pastries; there are quite a few sweet treat options too - nice chocolates too. Decent coffee. Seating inside, probably better for smaller groups rather than 6+. Some outside seating but not much. Gets super busy at lunch times
They were very helpful to me. I expressed reservations that the coffee had been brought before my ham and cheese croissant had arrived, which is the opposite of the way I like to eat, and they made me another cup. Staff were very friendly and obliging.
