Review Two Fat Possums - West Melton

Food is so affordable and delicious. The wait times are quick and the drinks and service is great! The only downfall I have, is that the menu is far too extensive. There are burgers, curries, steaks, pizzas, dumplings, bao buns, fish, stuffed chicken. There is just A LOT of different cuisines and I'm not sure what Two Fat Possums really IS as a restaurant. However, the chef must do an amazing job as the food is always top-notch when visiting. I definitely recommend this place to anyone with a craving for warm cozy food.

A good pub lunch. Generous potions. Friendly and attentive wait staff. We both had the Chef's roast which was well cooked and nicely presented. The area we sat in was a bit noisy but as there were a couple of families with small children it was to be expected.

Not at all busy when I called in. Fabulous food and friendly service. Excellent coffee.

Our waitress was so patient and happy to accommodate us as we moved tables outside and inside several times to find the most suitable place for our needs. The service throughout the 3hrs we were there couldn't be better. The roast was one of the best I've had and was creatively arranged along with separate small bowls for the gravy and horseradish sauce. Inside lighting is dim which for oldies wasn't easy. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience.

Stopped by after getting off our flight in Christchurch and on the way to Rakaia Gorge and food was amazing! We got the hot chicken burger and beet salad with grilled chicken. Both tasted great and generous portions! Totally recommend the food here.

Nice and quiet atmosphere great food, different areas to sit in indoor and outdoor. Great menu simple but easy to choose from. Great selection of beer on tap l, good wine too.. Friendly country people that sevres you.

Was very welcoming even though was short on staff. Thank you Fiona (the waitress) whom was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for anyone. I would recommend Two Fat Possum to anyone travelling through West Milton.

The food is always amazing here. We did have to wait we'll over 1hour for the food to arrive. I was ready to up and leave. Pretty expensive here too so if you can cope with a long wait and hold drunk grandma parties then come along in the evening....the food is amazing though, there's no taking away from the food.

Lovely place for a meet up lunch midday. Great service and delicious food. Struggled to eat it all so had to stay till we did. Left about 4 hours later lol. Shared lunch rather than a meal. So good. Thank you. Bringing other half to test taste soon

Came here for NYE family dinner, everyone loved it! The food was spot on, reasonable prices with good menu variety and portions. We had such a hard time deciding on what to order as everything sounded absolutely amazing. The ribeye steak and crispy pork belly were extremely satisfying. Seafood chowder with garlic bread was amazing too. Creme brulee was perfectly made. Staff were so warm and friendly, very good with the kids. Only wish they had a baby change room, but still giving 5 stars coz it's been so long since we've had such a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

Lovely place to come to. We all got the roast lamb and it was beautiful. Also sticky toffee desert. Thanks Fiona for being so lovely. Will definitally be back

Really god food. I was there between lunch and dinner so we have some of the snacks and snacks bites menu. Friendly staff, very good customer service , great and tasty food. Will be great if dogs will be allowed in the outdoor area

Wow came all the way from Auckland to have one of the best dining out experiences ever with my little whanau on Father's day so accommodating with a late booking and fitting us in then the speed of service was amazing even had toys to keep the kids entertained cant thank you enough for a great evening

Stayed at a local B & B, host suggested Two Fat Possums, was so good we came back again! Excellent menu with top-notch quality & service in a friendly atmosphere, who could ask for more?

The blue cod and chips were brilliant. Very crispy and the lemoncello sorbet was beautiful. The service was very good and the family atmosphere 👌 👍 👏

Just discovered this place...grt service friendly,professional with a smile..make my coffee just th way i like it.. delicious pizza and my fav.dessert cream brulee the best..def.will come back..love the decor,its clean,awesome ambience..i totally recommend this place..

Such a good fillet and ribeye steak! The roasted vegetables salad and beetroot salad was top notch. Fantastic ♥️
