Review Global Thai Restaurant & Bar - Whakatane

What a little gem on the heart of Whakatane, delicious Thai food and a reasonable price. I had the Crispy pork red curry mild. It was full of flavour! Recommended ❤️

Visited Saturday, had delicious Tom kah gai soup (pictured with mixed entree) followed by green curry which was spiced perfect for what asked for. Nice choice of drinks and close by location. Very much enjoyed. Deserts also looked great.

My father took my daughter, and I here for a celebratory meal as we were over from Australia. We loved the ambience of the restaurant and the staff were so kind and efficient. All of our dishes were amazing -- my father loved his scallops and said he'll definitely be going back. Thank you Global Thai -- a very enjoyable experience for our family 👌

Very clean and friendly restaurant. Only downside was that the chief was uncompromising when it came to requesting vegetarian options. Also their menu and especially the 'tablets' that the waiter's carry around for taking orders needs more flexible options. Otherwise very good!

Fantastic little gem, tucked away at the corner of the Strand. Their food is very authentic. I have never had a better red duck curry before!!! Would highly recommend giving it go. Their prices are reasonable and their service is very warm and friendly.

Dinner here last night. My eldest was very impressed by how fast the meals came out and we were all impressed by the quality and flavours in the food. As always at Global Thai! Highly recommend this place. Every meal we’ve had here is good, without fail. 😃

Friendly staff, nice size portions of food, food was delicious will definitely recommend if you have big eaters and are looking for value for money.

Greeted and served by the lovely Paris. The atmosphere was lovely the good devine. Hubby had sizzling duck, and I had Gang Karee, also desserts, which were beautiful. Will definitely be back. Thanks to all the wait staff and chefs, food was devine 😀

We had the most amazing Dinner, the food was so delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every last mouthful. Our waitress Paris provided the best service, she was friendly, professional and efficient. Thank you for a lovely meal and exceptional service.

This place was amazing! One of the busiest nights for this team I'm sure! Absolutely packed restaurant when we arrived we were lucky to have a table for two and were told there would be a delay with food which we certainly didn't mind at all! Very attentive staff and super friendly they kept us informed and waited our table nicely! The food was well worth the wait it was delicious! Thank you Global Thai you guys and your food were the best. Dined on the 2nd January 2023 while on holiday 🙂
