We visited Whakatane in July and we decided to try this Italian restaurant Double Zero. What a bless! I ordered a gnocchi with white sauce with salad and my kids got the kids dish. Mine was delicious and well prepared, with some slices of jamon. My boys loved their plate, which comes with ice cream

Staff very friendly and helpful. Willing to explain menu. All pasta is homemade and just delicious. Make sure you ask for a homemade lemonade .... it's amazing!!!

Beautiful night out. Could tell they used quality ingredients in our food and was delicious. Good service. And the kids got a real pizza for their meal. Nice atmosphere with gentle music in background. Would recommend!
The only thing I can fault this place for is that they are in Whakatane and they are not in Kirikiriroa.
They are going to make me drive all the way from Hamilton to bring my Wife and treat her some of the best hand made pasta in New Zealand.

We were visiting in Whakatāne last weekend and happened to find this place on the Main Street, in the town centre. It was last minute dinner plans for Friday night. We had our 2 kids under 2 with us, so the bar type bistro wasn’t really an option.

We had a beautiful dinner. Our waiter was belissimo. He had just arrived in Aotearoa 3 days prior and he gave us the full Italian experience, kind, helpful and friendly. We look forward to coming back when we are in Whakatane again.
Delicious food and great service. I am a return customer and highly recommend it. If you want cheap food and a cheap price go else where but this a great place for a tasty meal.
