Review Soul Burger - Whangamata

Great place and great food. Got the satay burger that was really good they make their own satay which was well balanced and the spice makes it very nice. Got the nemo also which had a nice battered hoki with a tasty sauce to it. Got a chocolate shake that was really good, smooth and chocolatey. The fries I enjoyed, nice seasoning and with the aioli was amazing. Really friendly staff and chill atmosphere will definatly eat at soul burger again.

One of the best takeaway options in Whangamata. The staff are always super kind and friendly despite always being extremely busy during the dinner period. Burgers are pretty huge, definitely filling. Heaps of options for all diets including keto, G.F, and vegan. On the slightly pricier side, most burgers are around $16 but otherwise great.

We got there 10 minutes after opening, and there was already a queue of eight people ahead of us - it was a good sign. We each ordered The Legend (beef, bacon, cheddar, dijon mustard, salad and relish and we added pickles). My partner ordered a strawberry shake, which arrived while we were waiting for the burgers - very generous shake served in the metal milkshake cup which kept it nice and cold. Nice thick shake with combination of strawberry icecream and syrup, she describes it as 'epic'. Now onto the burgers - very well assembled, fresh homemade beef patties hot off an open grill, they were the same size as the large buns so you get all the right ingredients down to the last bite. Well balanced, nice dijon and the right amounts of sauces, the pickles we added extra were delicious with hints of dill so definitely recommend that. Really delicious experience! A great burger joint with friendly staff, who seem to be passionate about what they do and proud of what they create! We would definitely go there again!

We stopped in for a quick lunch whilst in town for the day. Awesome burgers - clean, fresh flavours. And the fries/chips were a tasty treat too. I had the Legend burger (lived up to the name), and she had the Aloha burger - both great burgers. Nice people there, friendly service and great overall great vibe to the place too! We’ll be back 👍

Wow Soul Burger, very reasonable price, super fast wait time and most of all a delicious feed! I think I might call back tomorrow and ask the owner if he will part with his chip seasoning recipe too! Couldn't recommend enough to eat here if passing through

Really tasty and original. We took the heavenly and the squeack, and theyre really good and got nice balance. The manager is really kind and really helpul, i got some allergies and he double checked with me if everything was good for me. You Can see the chef cooking their burger with no rush but high qualité Nice and friendly staff also. Im working in a french burger restaurant and i Can Say its a really good burger restaurant. Thanks again ! :) It was a fantastic moment After this long rainy day! Maybe a bit too much salt in the fries, but of course depend of taste. See you!

The staff are super friendly! I ordered the fish burger, but they forgot to tell me it was battered not crumbed. They were super apologetic and made me a new burger. I was even lucky enough to get the last lot of crumbed fish since the change in menu 🤗 It was really yum and so fresh! :) all my friends enjoyed theirs too!

Ok damn came here while I was in Whangamata because everywhere else was booked out. The vibes are very buzzy and all the staff are friendly. I just got a chicken burger and it was pre basic but nice. This place is good for a quick bite. x

Came here last weekend for a wedding not my first time its my whangamata go to tried the chicken avo bacon awesome as usual that one went in the fridge for when I got hm after the wedding and a massive cheese burger chips and aioli cold beer fantastic every one I tell about this place that tries it loves it nice friendly gorgeous lady working there what more could you ask for when on holiday get there 😜👍

Great for a burger joint. Liked the local burger names. The staff were friendly and happy to adapt the burgers for children. Will be back.

Good value, great tasting burgers.

This is a really nice burger place to dine at. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, the burgers, chips etc are generously portioned. Everything is well priced and the environment is very cosy.
