My family visited to celebrate my daughter in law's birthday and had the most wonderful evening. They were greeted warmly and Val provided lovely activities for my grandson. The food was exceptional - as always. They live in Auckland and maintain that Val's restaurant and menu is the best in their experience. Even though I wasn't well enough to join them I was not forgotten. Thank you so much Val for your very special restaurant and amazing cuisine.

Limited opening nights and table numbers so if you are fortunate to secure a table you will not be disappointed. This is my favourite restaurant in Whanga. The food is always exceptional. The staff are on point. The drink selection accommodates our choices, quality to compliment the meals. Desserts are simply delicious. Entree and dessert or main and dessert. Shared dessert if preferred but unable to fit in 3 courses. Yes, costs more than other local options but it is value for money … totally worth it!

We were very fortunate to get a table and are so pleased we did as the food was very very tasty. We had prawns and pork medallions as entrees and mains of lamb loin and seafood ravioli and every dish was just beautiful. Our waitress, a young lady called Mia I think, was very friendly and helpful. It was a great finish to a lovely 'spur of the moment' few days in Whangamata and for sure we will be back again.
