Great fish and chip shop, the owners were lovely and give you a very good portion size for the price. I had the cheesy chips and my partner had the kumara chips and battered sausage. They gave plenty of sauce and cheese on top, we were very full and content after :)
Wanted to come in to try the food for myself after reading the reviews. It was actually good! Batter is obviously thicker than most places but it is nice and has a good crunch. Fish is fresh. Battered snapper is good sized and tasty. Chips are hot and a good amount per scoop. Thanks for the good mea
It was so so busy. The lady was really lovely considering she was so flat out & dealt with a difficult/odd customer while we were waiting. Bless her. She did so well. Highly recommend. We had fish, chips, potato fritts& battered saus. Really nice.
Great tradional fish and chips...just like at home in the 🇬🇧 albeit if we asked for snapper and 🍟 in the UK we might get a funny look.

Just went there this evening. Very friendly and helpful. They do fantastic gluten free (so tasty!) and were so accomodating for us with coeliacs. Recommend you call in the morning to order gluten free for dinner so they have time to prep :)
Amazing food even though it was busy at beach hop. Great value for money. They contact u when your orders going into the cooker so u have time to come get it fresh and hot.
Absolutely perfect fish and chips. Fish was juicy and tender and very well cooked. Chips was crunchy and yet soft on the inside. Definitely going here again next beach hop.
We had superb service and awesome fish & chips on our visit. Our son is celiac (GF), so we rang ahead and spoke to Liz (the owner) and she put the separate fryer on for us and explained their processes for Celiac customers.

We had fresh Tarakihi battered, chips and a few mussels. The batter was fresh, golden, crispy, thick but fluffy and light! Faultless.
