Review Momiji Japanese Restaurant & Takeaway - Whanganui

Paid a number of visits to this restaurant, and it paid off every time. Tried bentos, ramen, donburis and sushi. Highly recommend!

Pretty good Japanese place in whanganui. For a Tuesday, it was reasonably busy at lunch time. Bento boxes a little pricey at $30 but good portion sizes, overall we left satisfied. Nice building, spacious seating.

Fantastic food - at good prices - really enjoyed. Staff great - we went back a second. Fitted well into Our keto diet. Totally recommend thus restaurant. Thank you.

Lovely food, very quiet today but enjoyed the atmosphere. Toilets need a very good clean on the floor areas. All doors in the toilet area need a jolly good clean also.

Had a lovely lunch, the pricing is very good, the food is freshly prepared and the salmon was super fresh and melt in your mouth . The decor is not the best but I go to food places for food and we definitely coming back !

Great place for Japanese food. Fine dining and friendly service. Must book in ahead as it's a popular place that fills up quick. Otherwise order online and pick up your takeaway food.

Delicious food with great taste, quick service and great Japanese drinks available as well as the usual. Would have given 5 stars but outdoor garden didn't look like it had been cared for since a year ago and the girl who greeted us was obviously having a bad day - all other staff were awesome and good prices.

Can't fault this wonderful restaurant...delicious food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A good small range of food choices and friendly service.

Staff are friendly, food is amazing but I felt like the meal I had which was one of the bowls felt like not enough for dinner. But apart from that everything is great!

Must try ramune Japanese lemonade $5 so only pricey item really but worth the experience just see the unique bottle

Had lunch here recently. Love the ambience. We had Chicken Katsu Bento & Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. Amazing presentation and not too pricey. Would love to give a 5, but....I'm sure the rice weren't Japanese Rice (Uruchimai) and we find the food very salty.

You won't be disappointed with this choice. Delicious food and friendly service. Big range in menu, something for everyone. Cafe type seating, so not your typical restaurant seating. Our highlight - the Sushi for kids was mini sized. The kids loved it.

Quick service, great food with excellent flavors and stellar presentation. And all at a very reasonable price.
