Great food set in a nice restaurant with an awesome atmosphere. Clean and tidy with super friendly staff. We will be back again.

Had sirloin steak, cooked perfectly with really good chips too. Nice table by the fire. Thank you. 😊

We had a party of 7,so tables were moved together to accommodate us. Unfortunately the tables were not the same height, some of us had to juggle our plates on the mismatched tables. The steaks were delicious, very tender. The meal was difficult to eat as we were given oversized knives, with serrations too big to use.

A nice bar, restaurant, club space. Despite the tables being a little wonky and not a tables lit in the restaurant area. It was a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were really helpful. They have a wide range of main meals ranging from $15 to $36. They also offer several pizzas which comes in small ~$15 and large ~$23. They have daily specials which adds value in revisiting the restaurant to try another delicious dish. Their dessert menu has changing flavours as a ‘chefs special’ which cost around $13. They have a large drink list. Quite a few sprits and RTDs. They also offer a few cocktails which, mostly, costs $15. The wine list however is thin, offering one or two wines per type. There is also a vast range of nonalcoholic beverages. Teas, coffees, juices, and more. They also have a breakfast menu as well.

The menus were well priced and the dishes were tasty too. We had the steak and chicken parmi. The location is right in the city center.

The food was delicious and generous. Banana Bites were a kiwi classic that brought back memories

We were the annoying customers this time with all the special requests and this staff handled them professionally and with kindness. The food was great, but I do not recommend ordering the pizza gluten free. Everything was excellent.

Restaurant side is immaculate, from steak to Seafood chowder cooked to perfection. The bar side is divine and my personal favourite. There’s nothing better than to spend a Friday night with my best of friends at stellers. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant and bar!!!🫣

Great place and some really great electronic events they put on every couple weeks

Booked a table to have dinner and watch the final test match between ABS vs Lions, n we got that. Then we were disappointed in the service after that. We understand when its busy etc. We were told our orders will take 1hour. Yep cool no worries but to get food at different times was ridiculous. We ordered two pizzas, bar platter, wedges and fries. The waitress came out with 1 pizza and our bar platter then 40mins later we got served burnt pizza and fries. We gave the pizza back (they told us it'd be a 15min wait). 15mins later we got our pizza. 5mins after that we got our wedges...pretty poor service. Also the attitude of the young waitress wasnt great.

The pasta was one of the best dishes I've had, the fish was fresh and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good meal for a decent price �

Wow beautiful meals great service cooked just how I liked best steak ever. Great food presentation on our plates were just amazing 10/10 you wouldn't get a steak meal for that price any where else�����

Exceptional service when we stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Food was ordered and at our table in less than 10 minutes. It was hot, fresh and very tasty. Staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back.

obviously new chef really disappointed in food and price what happened to turf and surf veges and potatoes who wants to eat a piece of steak or a bowl of risotto just a bowl of rice and 2 bits of fish on beans what the hell , really disappointed not the stellar i know and been to,

Went to Stellar on June 24th 2016. After reading a big write up in the local paper about a new chef and exciting menu I was really disappointed. The food served was well under par for the prices they expected you to pay. Management would not front up when we wanted to complain and left the issue with front of house staff which was not good enough. Pros: Great fries and friendly staff obviously trying to do their best.

Out of a dozen people half thought their meal was shit. I had the worst of it with the fish which smelled soooo bad and was overcooked.

Really lousy food. Felt sorry for the waitresses who tried their best, but the food was terrible. Pre packed salad. Over cooked veggies, just woeful really. Plenty of better placed to eat in town.

Toilets were discussing. One was blocked, 2 had feces in them. Washing hands, 1 soap dispenser didn’t work, and 1hand dryer didn’t work. Pasta was very bland. I had to ask for a pasta spoon. Pork belly was very average. Will not come back here again. He staff worked hard but what we paid for the dinner did not reflect the quality of the experience.

Awesome meal and we had visitors from Paraparaumu. They are definitely coming back to eat here again. Meal, pricing and staff could not be faulted.

Service was friendly & professional.. and didn't have to wait long for the meal...felt the meal itself was pretty average tho

Thnxx for the great hospitality over the weekend. First time Stellar & will definitely be back if we are ever up in Wanganui again. All staff were extremely friendly & welcoming. When we had dinner there on Friday night after travelling from Wellington, the staff kept seeing how it was going.. The meal was perfect. Hats off to chef who cooked my lamb burger etc. Saturday night we of course watched the game there & then headed back to check out the DJ.. Was awesome to hear some old school songs as well as a few recent.... Once again awesome staff!!!
