Honestly I think this maybe the best burger I ever ate... The Cabeza De Coca, delicious, mouthwatering, and huge. Struggled to finish the generous serve of excellent fries, one serving of these is probably enough for two or three. Lovely shop, friendly service. I don't often write reviews, but this place deserves it 🙂
A great burger and chips to enjoy on a quiet Sunday. The place was very quiet and unassuming but the lady was friendly and the menu looked good. Ordered a fried chicken burger and it was delicious, juicy and fresh with a load of sauce. Fries were perfect too but a burger, chips, and coke were $30 which is a little over priced in my opinion. Overall I would go back again
Traveling and we stumbled across the Burger Cartel.
Out of our party of 6, I asked if I could have a kids meal as I wasn't that hungry. My girls also had the exact same burger, but while the burgers were fantastic, it was the little details that made them stand out. Without asking they custom made my burger to be a mini adult burger with extra ingredients and a softer egg. We were blown away by the thoughtful host and would go back in a heartbeat!
Always great. Excellent food. You are served by the chef who really cares that you enjoy the food. Been my first Port of call every time I come to Whanganui for years now. Lots of Burger options

Excellent service, fantastic burger. Completely surprised to find such a gem on the main street of Whanganui. We read the reviews, decided to try them, correct decision. A must visit. We will frequent them on a regular basis.
Burger cartel is awesome. I don't write reviews often because I normally don't come across a place that I'd consider good enough to leave one. This is one of them. The service is awesome. They were well accomodating despite a slight language barrier. The food was a 9 out of 10 for me personally and it really changed my mood. The venue is clean and for the price I'd be happy to come back!
Best burger I have ever had. And I eat a lot of burgers. Its a shame I live 400km away. Or would eat there everyday.
To add the that. The the fella that took the order, not sure if he just works there or owned the place was a top bloke. Funny too.
