Recently celebrated 50th birthday party here. The management and staff were awesome and their service was fantastic. Very accommodative and food was excellent.Garlic naan was the best i ever had. Highly recommended if you looking to enjoy indian meals at its best. Thank you.
Made our 3rd order from spice and soda tonight. Again fantastic tasty food, the way Indian food should be. We had it delivered and it arrived in around half an hour. Excellent service. Thank you Spice and Soda.

It was amazing, chilli chicken to die for. Butter prawns were tender and the sauce was rich and awesome. Fish curry was great too. Totally loved it, yummmmm. And great service to the door down a hellish driveway!
Got takeaways from here a few times now, Love this restaurant, food is always amazing & service is great! Delivery is available too which makes it even better . Within 5km although.. highly reccomend
Best and authentic Indian food I ever tried in Auckland.. highly recommend this place.. Mashroom Masala and paneer65 is the best for vegetarians.
On first appearance the decore is a little bland and I always find screens in restaurants distracting.
Our meal was lovely with just the right amount of spice and the service was good.
Am looking forward to coming back soon to try the new chef.
Good little shop, butter chicken is literally syrupy sweet, but the Rogan Josh and papadums were amazing. Doors are broken with a small sign to push and the place looks run down from the front. Inside it’s actually pretty nice and the music is a good volume. Definitely worth a try if you don’t want to go to manly or red beach for good curry.

Make sure if you're eating Indian on the coast that's it's from here such good value good quantity and really great food its easily the best plus if you compare them to horrible places like sir jis it ridiculous how much better they really are and you should never order from sir jis it's just awful but this place easy 10/10 but could've made it a bit more spicy
Awesome curries, and we happened to go on a $20 special night, so were rapt. Service was excellent. We'll definitely be going back!
I ordered dhal Makani and vegetable tikka masala which isn't on their menu but it was no trouble to make it. Both meals was medium spicy and both were perfèct in spice and taste. This is the 3rd time we have had lovely food. Best around this neighbourhood.

Definitely one of the best curry joints on the coast. The butter masala chicken is my go to as well as the tikka masala. Also the naan breads are real good.
I am only marking 'atmosphere' down because our table of 4 was the only one occupied. We had 4 different meals and all were delicious. This restaurant deserves to be better supported. The decor has recently been revamped and is really nice. The menu is comprehensive and reasonably priced. There is also a BYO option for the budget conscious.

You know when you have a lazy day at home, and you just want to get some nice butter chicken to fill that craving? We had one of those days so we decided to give Spice & Soda a shot.
When we got there at 11:30AM the store was closed, lights off and tables were still stacked inside. This was quite confusing as even the hours listed in front of the door states that they should be open. We decided to hang around a bit and about 15 minutes later, someone eventually said that they will be open in about 10 minutes.
Finally, we sat inside and we were ready to get started.
Interior: The decor is a bit old in appearance and run down. The space is also a little bit tight but you can still move around without having to squeeze through other tables.
The service: We did not really see much staff, there was only one waiter who was running the front, taking orders and then going to the kitchen to help prepare the food. The staff member who served us was nice.
The food: We both ordered the Murgh Makani $9.99 lunch special, which is basically your butter chicken. The special comes with rice, naan bread and the curry itself which is a pretty good deal. All combinations were cooked well and tasted great.
Overall, our experience at spice and soda was above average. If you are in the local area then I would highly suggest checking this place out.
BEST Indian I've had on the coast! My family ordered a variety of vegetarian, meat, naans and everything was full of flavour and packed so nicely for takeaway. You can tell they care a lot about the food. Everything was so delicious we couldn't stop... Didn't end up having leftovers, but the portions are extremely generous, we just kept eating it was so yummy! New go to takeaway place!
