Review L & G’s Kitchen - Whangaparaoa

What an amazing experience. My elderly father has Parkinson’s and we had a small dog with us that we could not leave in the car. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, setting up a table outside with a sun umbrella, providing water and all round excellent service. The food and coffee were first class and the patrons too were very friendly. Thank you L-G Cafe!

Fantastic coffee, amazing service and food that is baked fresh on site. One of my favorite cafes on the coast. The counter food selection has so much to choose from, sweet and savoury. The ham and cheese brioche scrolls are divine and one of my faves. Their breakfast bap looked amazing and is on my eye next time!

Wow I was not expecting this place to be amazing but oneastly a top notch above the rest . The food I had a eggs Benedict and rosti and bang in the mouth food explosion . The atmosphere was relaxing and service was great . Highly recommended this place to anyone that loves great food .

My son and I used to visit every Sunday when Lorna and Gary had this restaurant so were naturally saddened to see them go, and to find out - at that time - that the new owners were closed at the weekend. We were pleased to find they were now open and gave it a whirl: I always have Eggs Benedict (and you wouldn't believe the amount of places that can't seem to get the eggs right....), and they were perfect. Solid whites, runny yolks. I WOULD have liked to see that they were free range though. My son had The big Breakfast which really WAS a big breakfast - just think of everything you can, then add some! The new owners were delightful, didn't over hover (nothing worse) and were very friendly. Everything clean and water provided without asking. There was the occasional middle eastern touch which was interesting and very welcome. Highly recommend.

We have been stopping in to L & Gs Kitchen for a couple of years now and you can always expect beautiful food and coffee that is always at the right temperature, highly recommend the eggs benny with bacon. Had lunch here food was well presented and delicious options. Only down side Poached egg was hard and cold might have been a bad day 🤷‍♀️ service was great and friendly would still come back was a lovely venue and many options

Recommended by Mum. She's been cooking for 90 years, and she loves the place. Mum had steak and kidney pie; I had the superb Club Sandwich. Great coffee. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Serves beer and wine. This is understandably a popular café with a sunny location and deserves the many 5-star ratings it has received. A gem for breakfast and lunch on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula!!

A lovely dining experience here for breakfast with my parents. The hosts were friendly, attentive and very caring. The coffee was so perfect I had to have two! Thank you for having us x

Everytime we come here the food and coffee is at a consistently high standard and very friendly service. Favourites are the corn fritters and the burgers.

Ok, I understand that. It is good thing to keep others safe. But hope next time we can be treated in a better way and more efficiently (just urgent need for toilet, not mean to give the bad feedback) and we were plan to have lunch in your restaurant because of the good outlook. :)

The new owners of this cafe are awesome. Had an amazing light lunch and an exceptional latte with my family. The staff were all amazing, the cafe is beautiful and it has a great vibe. Highly recommend!

Great place for a catch up with friends whether over coffee and cake or one of the delicious menu options. They also have some gluten free options and a vegan muffin making it a great place for different food preferences. Make sure you check it out for yourself.

Been Here twice so far for breakfast and would highly recommend this to anyone. Food and drinks are delicious and satisfying and the staff are nice and also the whole place is good to be at. Love it!

We have both been a couple of times since moving to Stanmore Bay and every visit is a treat.  Great coffee and I had a delicious passionfruit yoyo yesterday.  MY wife loves their piccollo coffee

Yummy coffee and a relaxing vibe and friendly staff. slices and cakes look good! Nice kids area with toys, books and a chalk board. Will be back for food!<br/>
