The Quay - Whangarei - Photo album

Food was really really good. Beautiful, varied menu with new things on it since our last visit. Staff were quick, friendly and efficient. We asked to be seated in the sun and then about 45 minutes later I told my husband he looked a bit hot. A waiter appeared with an umbrella two seconds later. The
Great restaurant with fantastic food and friendly staff. We (3) first went for dinner where we had the lamb rump and the beef fillet with kumara sides and eggplant starter to share, all were delicious, the beef in particular was the best I'd had in a long time, cooked to perfection 🥰 We were so ha
Great place at that the Small marina - nice tables outside on the waterfront with attentive service and really good food. They have a wide selection of classics - but also great pizza with surprisingly different flavors and varieties. Enjoy cocktails and drinks with them too and spend some quality t
I was treated to a meal at The Quay by somebody who eats there fairly frequently. I think myself very lucky! The initial impression was good, the service was very good (and respectful of two friends who were catching up after 2 years of not seeing each other), and the food plentiful and tasty. Main
Delicious food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. It was really busy for a moody Tuesday night too so it must good consistently, I must confess this was my first visit. The cocktails looked amazing and I definitely would have had one if I hadn't been driving.
Over from Australia visiting Family and Friends. this is THE BEST Whangarei can offer. Had Lunch on Thursday with a Friend; went back that night for Dinner with other Friends. Food is delicious and the service and staff are awesome.
Wonderful setting right on the waterfront. Delicious French house red, so that's always a winner 😄 Very busy on weekends so bookings a must. Friendly wait staff and the food was scrumptious. We all ate something different and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Recommend for sure
We ate here on Wednesday evening. The atmosphere inside is lovely and quaint. The service is absolutely exceptional and the service staff are knowledgeable about their menu and are able to make excellent suggestions and wine pairings. The food, is magnificent. I had the wagyu rump steak, cooked perf
Beautiful view and atmosphere! Great service, friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee!
Great setting, but having reserved a table and waited half an hour because the kitchen clearly was under pressure, it was disappointing when we waited a further 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The food looked great, but the fish had been waiting under a heat lamp for too long and was not as hot
We dined at The Quay on a busy Saturday afternoon. Despite the crowd, the service as prompt and friendly. The restaurant was warm, clean and very cosy. We ordered the Smoked Brisket ($27); the Vegan Beetroot Falafel pita ($27); the Pig Out pizza ($29); and the Tasting Plate ($39). There is not much
The restaurant has a good atmosphere and is in a great location, with views over the waterfront if sitting outside. I had the bread and dips with the chicken liver parfait starter and the pig out pizza, both were excellent. I highly recommend coming here to anyone, whether visiting or resident
We were gifted a voucher from our Agent Minda from Ray White as a thank you... My Husband and I really enjoyed our evening. We sat on the deck and enjoyed a wonderful meal, and delicious dessert. Our waitress was attentive but did not hover. Overall it was a wonderful night out.
Great in every respect. Slick service and gorgeous food so well presented. We are not locals but would be back if we were. Black pepper squid, seafood chowder and beetroot falafels...
